Exceptional

We loved Ochre cottage, and the vineyard was beautiful. It was in the perfect area for all our needs. The owners were eady to communicate with, and very helpful. We would recommend this property for anyone visiting the area. We will certainly stay here again if we come back to South Australia.

We felt like we had a good holiday, accommodation was great and the countryside was beautiful.

We would have liked a second separate chair. We could not use the swimming pool as we needed a hand rail to support us getting in and out.

Golden pink sunset over vibrant vines and blue agapanthus, the apartment is in a beautiful setting.

Lovely stay - definitely recommended!

Location was quiet, but we were within a 10-15min drive from most things we wanted to visit. The breakfast inclusions were incredibly generous and delicious! Welcome wines and chocolates were very thoughtful and a great surprise. The host was lovely and text us on our first night to check in and ensure we had everything we needed.

Nothing was a dealbreaker, but small things that could help improve this place even more: Older furniture - but this gave it a super homely and comfortable feel. (A slightly bigger bed could be a good inclusion though). If people are staying a few days it could be a good idea to include some extra kindling/fire starters. The only other thing I could suggest adding would be a robe and slippers to really get in that cosy vibe by the fire :)

Abselute comfort and pure perfection. Just what we needed.

The LP player was such a great addition to make our weekend away just perfect. the accommodation was perfectly clean super comfy. The fire pit was a great warmed up the cosy cottage. Very private. Location was perfect close to wineries, breweries and distilleries. Breakfast was beautiful presented and was great to cook ourselves. Hosts were great. Very tidy and clean. If I could rate a 10 I would rate a 20! Would definitely go back again.

Everything was perfect. If I must nit pick maybe just have some yogurt for the breakfast cereal. Otherwise pure perfection.

Very comfortable, great for a getaway! Highly recommend Linger Longer for a quiet escape from city.

Loved the complimentary bottle of red wine with chocolates, along with a great range of LPs to play on the working record player! Linen was clean & doonas were good quality. Fireplace stocked ready to light, keeping us warm on the cold winter nights. Milk in the fridge with ample variety of teas & coffee supplied. Easy communication with owners.

Excellent location and value for money

A great location, very quiet and perfectly placed for exploring the area. Extremely well equipped, it had everything you need for a short stay and very clean. The bed and pillows very comfortable. Nice touches like fresh flowers, the open fire and a bottle of wine.

a very comfortable and well-equipped home set in a lovely location.

the house had everything we needed for our stay and was perfect for what we wanted. A small issue with the tv was addressed by the owners immediately even though it was 8pm. beautiful gardens and surroundings.

a small Bluetooth-compatible speaker would be great but we enjoyed the selection of CDs!!

Could always Linger a little bit Longer!

Wowee! We were attending a wedding at Fleurieu Cherries nearby and decided to make a long weekend out of it, and boy am I glad we did! Linger Longer was the perfect home away from home for our mother/daughter trip. We stayed in the Ochre cottage which is towards the back of the property. Before we even arrived we received some very clear and easy directions and instructions on accessing the home. Rosemary kept in touch in the days leading up to our stay. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised with the air-conditioning running, a gift of local Fruchocs and a bottle of the family made wine. We were also provided tea, coffee, sugar, bottle of fresh milk and water, and apples grown on site. The amenities are great. The bed and the pull-out sofa are both very comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised about how warm the home was at night, which made for very comfortable and deep sleeps! The kitchen is spacious and has all the essentials that you need if you wanted to cook at home. Rosemary and Rick both checked on us, the first night to make sure everything was OK and the next day to let us know they were going to do some picking of the vineyard the next day. This was honestly the perfect home base. It is very central. Every where we wanted to explore was 10-15minutes in either direction. And then we could come home and relax. Hot tip if you're driving at night, Linger Longer is just under a street light, it was a great signpost when we were on our way home at night. The coffee shop, Flower Cellar Door, about 300m around the corner was great to grab a morning coffee. If you get stuck for ideas on what to do or eat, the handy guide provided definitely gave us the perfect recommendation to grab a take away Italian pizza (Sicily Mare) to sit out the front of the cottage and enjoy the wine at sunset. Thank you Rosemary! We cannot rave enough about our stay. We will definitely be coming back here should we find ourselves in McLaren Vale again.

Lovely home set within a vineyard

Great location, very picturesque with a view of the grapes! Lovely well-equipped house, which was very clean and really felt like home. Great location to explore both McLaren Vale and the Fleurieu Peninsula. The complementary bottle of wine was a great touch which we enjoyed sat outside watching the sunset. Couldn't recommend enough and hope to be back!

The food left in the fridge for our breakfast was excellent. The location was pretty much central to everything we wanted to see & do. The accommodation was very clean and well maintained. Would recommend to anybody.

Glass sliding doors. Didn't keep the morning sunlight out, so no sleeping in. Not an issue for me, but the wife does love her sleep in's when on holiday's.

Was an awesome spot to recuperate with a group of friends.

Perfect and tranquil spot right in between McLaren Vale and Willunga. Beautiful outlook. Perfect location for a girls weekend 😉

One of the single bed mattresses was a little uncomfortable. Would be fine for a child but noticed it as an adult. It would be absolute magic if the pool was rejuvenated and back in use.

The wedding went well and several families visited our accommodation, approving of the bungalow.

In among the vines. Vines in all directions green and lush just starting to bear fruit. Close to everything if driving. Beach, wineries, eateries - even Adelaide about 35km.

The mice should not have chewed through car injector cables. They tried to make a nest on top of the warm engine disabling it. Found out this is common in area and would have liked to be aware at least.

Inviting, relaxing & pleasing, with gorgeous views & generous, delicious breakfast provisions

Expected to collect keys from lock box using the very clear instructions provided, but Rosemary was there to greet us and show us around. Quiet, beautiful location, comfortable, warm bed, generous, delicious breakfast supplies, a fire laid in the hearth (though we chose not to light it). Couldn't fault it! Really appreciated the taste of the bacon and the excellent chicken sausages, the thoughtful luxury of the mango and fresh blueberries, and the clear, clean set up of the place.

We could not fault it! So grateful for such a comfortable, welcoming place to stay.

great place for a short break

The accommodation was well located in a vineyard with easy access to all the facilities of McLaren vale and Willunga. Not far from beaches (15 minutes)either for a summer stay though we were there in winter

Heavenly

Appreciated the heater being put on before we arrived, the welcome bottle of red wine & chocolates plus fresh fruit & milk. Everything was perfect, the bed was sooo comfortable, double shower, open fire place + a good supply of wood, heavenly, good quality kitchen appliances. Very affordable & quiet location, amazing view & only a short, easy drive anywhere. Highly recommend & will definitely stay again.
