Our family group of three generations, including younger children, enjoyed our week-long stay. The property is within walking distance of Canyon Road and the historic downtown. It is spacious and attractive inside and has a large outdoor gathering area, partly covered, that stayed a comfortable temperature in the hot weather. The kitchen is very well-equipped for the cooks in the group, and the pool table is fun for those who want to play some more after enjoying food, art, hiking/walking, shopping, and more. We would visit this property again if we return to the area.

Home was a great place for eight lifelong friends to gather and celebrate. Enjoyed the ease of walking to and from the plaza and Canyon Road - great restaurants nearby, plenty to do. We did rent cars, which was necessary to get out and about and explore other areas. Poncho and host were very responsive.

We had a nice time at this home in Santa Fe. The great room and kitchen were large, so we could all be together and play cards, games, eat meals or watch tv. It is a historic home, so the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the smaller side. The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms had everything that you needed, including shampoo, conditioner and soap. The kitchen was fully stocked and we cooked several meals there. A clarification on the listing - there are 5 bedrooms. In the great room there are two couches, where one folds out to a bed.

Beautiful home with plenty of room for all nine of us. Fully furnished kitchen but almost too furnished because there wasn’t any room left for our food even in the fridge.
Lovely art and artifacts all over the house. Loved the outdoor space. Great place to relax and visit while in Santa Fe for our son’s wedding.

This house was a gem. It had a great size, living space, a wonderful, gourmet kitchen, and dining area. For our teenage students, the ping-pong table was a daily activity. The rooms were comfortable and plenty of bathrooms to share amongst us. I would definitely book this place again for a large group the property manager Pancho was very helpful and communicated with us when needed. I even got a phone call from the property owner welcoming us to their home. Thank you for everything.

Casa Bonita was a perfect spot for our reunion of college friends. It accommodated 11 adults comfortably (we squeezed in another couple for one night!) and the location was wonderful - close to Canyon Road, and a short walk along the river to the Plaza. It was particularly glorious in mid-October, with the cottonwoods in full fall color, and with the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta in progress. The hosts were very accommodating in dealing with our sometimes-changing headcount. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Our family vacation back home to New Mexico was made significantly better by our stay at Casa Bonita. This home is everything you'd want to top off a Santa Fe vacation. Our family of 10 (ages 3 -62) thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay. The homeowners are fabulous to work with and personally called us to ensure our stay was going well. The local property manager (Poncho) was there on the first day to ensure we had what we needed. The property is close by art & history museums, fabulous eateries and shops galore. Thank you to Bonnie and Doug for opening this home for us to enjoy.

It was quite lovely to stay in a home that was well equipped, clean, walking distance to town, and comfortable for all the guests. The owners gave good advice for exploring the area and restaurants. The property manager was efficient and responsive. One of the best we have ever stayed in over the decades we have traveled together!

We stayed at Casa Bonita for a family reunion - 8 adults and 1 15-month old in the house. Everyone loved it! Great location - you can walk almost anywhere you want to go. The property was lovely - huge open space where we could gather, dining space for everyone, lovely back yard to enjoy the snow (followed by warm days), bbq, table tennis (yes, we had tournaments). We didn't use the jacuzzi but everything you need is here.

The house layout allowed privacy for three families with children, ranging in ages 7-16; while at the same time offering great space for us all to be together for dinner and play! Location was great for visiting the town square as well as the proximity to Ski Santa Fe!!

The home is in the heart of it all for a visit to Santa Fe. The home is well cared for and owned by the same family for many decades. Lots of space for family fun and the kitchen is as well appointed and equipped as any we've stayed in. If the opportunity presents itself, we'd stay here again for sure.

Fabulous Santa Fe Home
This house is absolutely fabulous. Besides being absolutely spotless, everything was well stocked when we arrived. You really don't need to bring anything but your personal things. The backyard patio was a joy. We had a catered dinner brought into the house and we ate out on the patiio. Great place.

Great Santa Fe Location!
This lovely home had a wonderful private garden, great room large enough to accomodate readers, kitchen helpers and dining room game players. Our family could walk to town, so didn't need a car for everyone. Parking was easy and plentiful. A place to keep our rental bikes secure in the garage (plus an extra fridge for wine and leftovers). We enjoyed the ping-pong table and hot tub on rainy days (monsoon season! We weren't quite expecting so much rain!) We took advantage of a history walking tour, a raft trip on the Rio Grande, and also an informative e-bike tour, plus museums and of course shopping! This worked perfectly for our three-generation gathering. Thanks!

Fabulous Santa Fe getaway
Loved our stay at this gorgeous house! Booked for myself and 4 discerning ladies. We are group of old high school friends who get together periodically in fabulous locations. All agreed that Casa Bonita was our best yet!
Location is great, walkable to downtown. Lovely back yard with plenty of seating, lots of shade. Bedrooms all very comfortable and best of all, the kitchen was stocked with everything you might ever need for gourmet cooking, including a very extensive spice drawer.
Highly recommend!

Beauty, charm, and comfort in a fabulous location
Our family (parents with adult children and their spouses) stayed in the house for a daughter’s wedding. The pictures accurately depict the property, but they don’t convey the comfort we experienced the moment we walked in the door. The layout was exactly what we needed. The master bed and bath are just inside the front door, next to the street, but it isn’t much traveled and was perfectly quiet. The living room and kitchen are open to each other, creating a warm and comfortable gathering space. The kitchen island is large and the kitchen itself is well equipped. The dining room seats 12 (14?). We used the master bedroom and the other 3 bedrooms on the main level, which line a hallway along with 2 bathrooms. The bedrooms aren’t large, but are plenty spacious. I never went down to the bedroom and bath on the lower level, but I know it’s there.
The art and furnishings are so lovely, and they create an atmosphere that tells you the house is a home.
The patio is fantastic. There are two tables with combined seating for 14, plus a couple of other seating areas for 2. It is shaded with a water feature and lovely flowers.
Our communication with Bonnie was so pleasant and I enjoyed learning of her family’s history in the house. All in all, we felt we were living in a good friend’s home, not in a rental property. I have no critical comments to add.
Finally, the location was just what we wanted. It is within walking distance of the Canyon Road galleries and other downtown attractions, but so quiet.

Family Spring Break with 2 teen agers and 2 grandparents
Great location as we expected since have visited Santa Fe many times before. Nice arrangement for four adults and two teenagers (location and number of baths and bedrooms). Kitchen/ living room open space concept that worked for us. Baths bit dated, but clean and appropriate for age of house! Overall nice place for our visit!
