Room was good but the food was outstanding and fairly priced

Excellent staff gave a warm welcome . Chef was able to adapt food to suit an allergy . We stayed two nights in a beautiful room.
4.5
Great welcome, lovely room, fun evening meal, good night's sleep and breakfast
4.5
Well positioned in the village, great room, excellent staff

The shower was an over-bath type. It was hard to get into the bath because of a wide tiled edging & there were no wall mounted or bath mounted handles to assist or prevent falls. The shower did not have a wall mounted alternative to the huge overhead shower head.

What's not t9 like. Village Green location, buzzing pub, good food, superb accommodation.
Nothing.

Breakfast was excellent. Best bacon I've had for a long time, scrambled eggs were also very good
4.5
Very cute and cosy
It was 2 single beds put together with no topper so was uncomfortable as you could feel where the 2 mattresses meet

Excellent
It’s just what we enjoy

Breakfast was excellent, with a good choice of hot courses (some very original) and plenty of variety in what was offered in the way of cereals and juices. Warm and comfortable surroundings although the stone floors and wooden furniture may not be to everyone's delight. Large car park at the rear. Nice view of the church and green from the bedroom window.
Room was very small, just space to get round the bed at the foot and the sides. Only room for one chair. Room was cold in the mornings since no central heating on - we had to use the small radiator supplied. Shower was virtually unusable, delivering only scaldingly hot water. Car park was at the end of a poorly maintained drive riddled by puddles and mud after rain

Characterful, spacious room. Great shower. Good food. Friendly staff.
Was a tad chilly. Difficult to heat such a large room with two small radiators given the freezing weather. Later learned that the pub would have supplied an extra heater if asked.

The room was very comfortable.
We were disappointed with the set up as we had booked a table for 2 in the restaurant several weeks before and were seated on a table for 6 right next to the bar where there were some customers who were exceptionally loud. It ruined our evening. We mentioned it to the manager who could have offered to move us at the start of the meal as she offered to move us after we had finished the meal, and then told us that she had 2 restaurants. So I didn’t understand why we were seated at that table especially when she admitted that the customers were local and would start to get noisy again!!
Think they need to address this issue.

Room had very minimal space, no wardrobe, stairs leading to the room, very steep, staff was friendly, but very noisy pub

Lovely dog friendly pub. Quirky interior with very friendly helpful staff. This is our third stay here. We took our three little dogs and we were delighted to be given an upgrade to the cottage for our two night stay. Extremely comfortable and excellent for our dogs. Bed comfortable with lovely soft cotton covers. Such a lovely pub and the food is delicious!
We will definitely stay again. Dogs are made very welcome and we felt relaxed having them with us.
Nothing!

Great location! Didn’t need breakfast
The room was a little narrow but it had everything we needed and the bathroom was great!

Breakfast excellent
Rooms very small

Super friendly and helpful staff. The food was amazing!
The shower was incredibly small. It was a struggle to move around.
Lack of mirrors and plug sockets, which made it difficult to get ready for a wedding.

Very cute place in small, quiet town. Stayed here on our way to Sanderingham Estate and it was an easy quick drive. We showed up fairly late and they were able to accommodate us for dinner without a reservation, which was terrific considering nothing else would have been open. Had two very good meals here (Dinner and lunch), both delicious, w/ fresh ingredients and love that they make their own gin! Room was comfortable and clean. Bathroom was a good size and plenty of room. Liked the outdoor patio space also and although we weren't there long enough to enjoy the pizza/beer area, looked like a good option.
We were unaware that reservations at the on-site restaurant should be made, didn't realize it was such a popular place . They were nice enough to accommodate us, but would be helpful to include in advertisement.

Pub character with charm and quality

Breakfast was superb, we stayed in room 10 very comfortable with a fab shower & roll top bath in the room, location was excellent just 15 minutes from the coast.

Lovely.
Only point that I asked for 1 poached egg not two.
Very small comment.
Room 3 had a double & single. Without single would have been more space.

Interesting gastro pub in a lovely old village functioning as both local bar and reasonably good restaurant. Our room in the adjacent annex was huge, well-equipped and very comfortable. Dinner was lovely. Breakfast a bit chaotic (see comments under "What didn't you like").
Getting our table for dinner was a bit of a chore - a waitress told us we had to inquire at the bar, where there was a huge queue of thirsty drinkers in front of us. However all was fine after that. But breakfast was a bit chaotic. There was only one waitress serving breakfast and there were huge delays in both taking our order and delivering it - not her fault, it felt more like an organisational issue. By the time our cooked breakfast arrived (and it was very nicely cooked) our tea and coffee were cold. A bit of a shame asour final memory of the place.

the location was great and the interior was just lovely and welcoming a great atmosphere
nothing apart from the builders herras fencing was ledges up against the window we sat I. for dinner

actually was disappointed that we had to pay for two days breakfast and coffees as thought it was included in the £ 280.00 price we paid for our 2 night stay. So thought that was rather expensive,
First morning's breakfast was cold and served on cold plates but 2nd served hotter and on hot plates
Evening meal was slightly disappointing as curry had raw onions and peppers in it and curry should have been medium hot but was really spicy hot so not edible rice and bread nice though - the starters though were exceptional especially the crab buns.
4.5
Breakfast was delicious. Could not fault it.
There was nothing we didn't like
4.5
Customer service and food we're both fantastic.
Lovely room
