The staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. They arranged transport for me to attend my evening event.
Nothing. The accommodation was just right.

We are relocating to the area from East Sussex and needed somewhere we could stay overnight with our sprocker. The Crown was absolutely amazing. We had a fantastically clean room with a wonderful space where we could let Maisie run around in a safely enclosed garden. The pub was extremely welcoming, food was amazing.
The beds were really comfy, with night black out curtains. The lady who served us breakfast gave us a huge amount of information about the area. Breakfast was absolutely delicious snd when we move, we will certainly be coming back to try the toast dinners. Superb! Highly recommend to stay here.
People upstairs were noisy, but you get that anywhere.

Breakfast
Mattress springs poking through. Very thin. Noisy and we were cold. Car alarm repeatedly going off and people being loud just below our bedroom.

The hotel was easy to find and special thanks to the gentleman in the kitchen that very kindly drove us back to our car at a nearby venue when we struggled to get a taxi! Shows how the staff care about their customers and we really appreciated it
The beds could be improved but we’re comfortable enough for the one night that we stayed
4.2
Very clean bathroom with large shower and separate bath. Great food. very friendly service.
It was all fine for the price.
4.2
Good atmosphere and nice people
Beds were not the best. No storage for suitcases even rooms are large. Menu was poor, but the food OK, especially the desserts. Remember much better menu when we visited 4 Years ago

I stayed in the Swiss Cottage - super spacious, clean, cosy , quiet , great location and safe . I’ll be staying there again.
More veggie options as I hope to stay there more often. Otherwise no negative reports.
4.2
historical but modernized which was good
nothing I did not like
4.2
Lovely old (1630?) building in good nick.
The room allocated for the two of us was TINY! Others in our party had adequate and sometimes very large rooms. Don't know why we lucked out.
4.2
The property was nice and quiet. They had a nice pub garden around the back of the pub, and also a large bar and seating area inside. The room itself was around the corner from the main area which was nice as there was no noise heard. Had all the facilities you may need for a short stay. A nice dresser to get ready and a bathroom.
We did get a little confused over breakfast. I think it was main our fault but we ended up missing it as we thought it came to the room but you had to go down to get it.
4.2
The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. There was plenty of wardrobe space. Ample plug sockets in room for charging devices. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Well cooked evening meal. Good location for exploring nearby Thetford Forest.
For the price there were little added extras. No biscuits, no decaf option on tea/coffee, toiletries were minimal. Rooms were not soundproof could hear talking from room below.
4.2
Beautiful property and rooms. Good size rooms with kitchenette, sink, fridge, kettle, microwave, dining table, sleigh bed... more than we expected.
lovely ground floor courtyard with bench for chilling outside. Breakfast was lovely with vegetarian option and cereals.
All very clean and well kept.
Bed was a little hard for our liking. Food prices seemed a little excessive so we opted out of an evening meal. Fish and chip shop over the road but cash only and no cash machine in the village
4.2
Breakfast was OK, even though we sat there for 15 mins whilst the staff drank coffee in the kitchen.
Would of thought for nearly £100 per room that you'd get a few more options for tea and coffee in the room. Shower was either boiling hot or freezing cold. Bed very firm and extremely creaky.
Two very steep flights of stairs to get to our room, which was small. Bed was right in front of the door, so room layout could of been better, as we had to operate a one way system to get past each other.
Had to ask staff how to get out in the morning, so "hotel california" came to mind.
So in summary, not worth £100 a night.

Staff were friendly and helpful
Room was clean and surprisingly spacious
Food was great big portions
Village was nice clean and quaint
Honestly there was nothing we didn't like
