We were made to feel most welcome and enjoyed a lovely bedroom overlooking Pierowall Bay with a good view of seals from the bedroom window.
Breakfasts first class.

Lovely house in a great location. Our room looked over the water at the seals. Jerry was a very gracious host and cooked a delicious breakfast. I wish we could have stayed longer.
Everything was excellent.

Superb breakfast. The host is great with excellent local knowledge and advice.

The location was very good for us.
Breakfast was disappointing given our expectations (based on previous reviews) and the room cleanliness was below par. The room looked as though it needed a deep clean and there were debris items under the bed (presumably left by previous occupants. The bathroom had a sloping ceiling and I could not stand up straight in the shower (I'm 6ft).

Warn welcome from Mr. Jerry. Beautiful decoration with beautiful pictures, etc. Owner is so nice and friendly. Cozy bedroom. Recommend to stay here! Breakfast was great.
Bedroom view is the nice lake, pretty seals, and birds. Feeling like I were in the beautiful fairy tale.

all was great

Breakfast was amazing and to have it in the sun room while looking at the harbor seals in the bay was a wonderful experience. Jerry is a caring host and went extra miles to make our room hot on our last day when our room got very cold due to rain all day.
Cleanliness of the room and bathroom could have been better. Also we were expecting ensuite bathroom and Kettle area but both were outside the room ( we were on top level, in a loft room) and we had to get out of the room for it. Although it was ok by us.
4.5
Our room was lovely and light with a view of the seals on their rocksA very gentle and friendly place to stay . Hotel for dinner in village close walk and also very good

We had a lovely room overlooking the bay, we saw seals lying on rocks outside each morning. Nice big bathroom with robes, which was a nice luxury. Jerry was an excellent host and made us a superb breakfast each morning. We can recommend the porridge! The Pierowall Hotel was within walking distance and served reasonable food. If the Saintear Bistro had been open we would have tried that as well. We loved the beaches on Westray which were deserted, but that could because of the time of year. Can recommend in particular Grobust Bay which is gorgeous. Also worth visiting is Noltland Castle which is very atmospheric. For anyone interested in art, Westray is a good place to stay. As well as Jerry being an artist there are a couple of good art galleries on the island.
Nothing! We only stayed two nights but would have been happy to have stayed longer.

Absolutely fantastic location on the bay at Pierowall with seals across the road. Very friendly and helpful host, including giving us plates etc for the amazing fish and chips two minutes down the road (Weds and Sats only atm). Most comfy bed of our trip and a huge room. Delicious and varied breakfast.
There's a bus that connects with the ferries.
The only thing was that we didn't stay longer!

Jerry was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was comfortably furnished with some nice, slightly 'quirky' touches. There was interesting art work throughout the house, much of it Jerry's work. The location of the house is excellent and you really can see seals basking on the rocks outside.
The breakfasts were wonderful.

Location by the sea, with seals lying on the rocks in front of the house.

The host, Gerry is a great host. The breakfast options are great with local produce and home baking. Gerry couldn't be more accommodating. Beautiful views over the bay and a short walk to the main part of the village.
Just my usual gripe about shower cabinets being too small.

Quirky place, great staying with local artist and seeing artwork throughout the house. Of course watching the seals basking right outside is a great draw. We really enjoyed building a fire down at the beach one evening in the recreated neolithic fire pit built by Jerry (which you can read about whilst there).
Bit dusty and the bathroom in our room back double) was’t great, no window etc.
