nothing really ,no complaints at all

Would expect a cooked breakfast for this price, not a continental breakfast which wasn’t fresh
Searched specifically for deals with breakfast incuded. If it says breakfast included then I would expect a cooked breakfast for this price

Bed is narrow, lucky I am too....

The room is amazing and cozy.
In the tariff it was included a breakfast, but the kitchen was closed for renovation. We were not informed about it, and we only discovered on the day after the check-in waiting for the breakfast together with the others guests.

Beautiful building and a lovely warm welcome. The room was small but had everything needed without being cluttered. For me, the bed was divine, so comfortable.
Having the restaurant attached is fantastic. Even my picky eater husband managed to eat Lebanese and enjoy it!
I know it can't be helped as space is limited, but the narrow shower door was a bit tight... But on a plus it's made me realise I could stand to lose a few lbs!

Great location for the University
Some noise at the front but off the main street

The comfort, style of the building and location provided us with a very pleasant exoerience. This was our second time to choose the hotel and we intend staying again in future when we regularly visit Edinburgh to spend time with family.
I thought the continental breakfast was great and more than sufficient. However, the plastic flowers in the dining room jarred with me a little.

spacious clean room.
breakfast room freezing cold in the morning, seemed to be a door or window opened that made it very cold. breakfast slightly chaotic and slow, however staff were friendly even if overwhelmed by it.

The staff were great, lovely comfy beds
The rooms hadn't been cleaned properly, wi-fi kept going off,no cooked breakfast

Room was very good, need to be aware there are stairs. Clean, location very good.
Got there and there was NO wifi and the TV didn't work. There was little done to fix anything and apparently there hadn't been any wifi for two weeks... I had to ask to swap rooms, they didn't offer this. However I did get another room. I needed an extra night and the price was way more expensive so I had to find another hotel for one night. I got a sense that I didn't really matter to them.

We received emails prior to our stay reflecting they were looking forward to our arrival and queried what time we would arrive.
We both received a warm welcome on arrival and the receptionist was very accommodating moving her car to enable us to park and informed us of the amenities and just genuinely interested in the reason for our visit. The Sailsbury suite was massive and very clean.
The dressing gowns and slippers were a lovely touch
The room was cleaned everyday and fresh towels provided which we hadn't expected but appreciated it.
The hotel was ideally situated for our needs and was a pleasant 30 minute walk to Edinburgh Town centre or a 5 minute walk to the bus route.
Plenty of restaurants nearby as well as their own Sophias.
We thought it was reasonably priced especially with the Edinburgh Tattoo event.
I would highly recommend it and will definitely stay again
