The location is perfect, staff is amazing but the breakfast really wasn’t it.

The location was great! Every restaurant with the best reviews in Syracuse was within walking distance. The staff was very friendly and we were informed thoroughly about the parking situation from the get-go so we felt like locals and had no issue there. The beds were very comfortable and there was AC in the room. The rooms were very clean as well. :)

The breakfast was quite minimal and there was food only if you were very early (around 08:30). We were “late” a couple of days and we went to eat around 09:15 (breakfast was done at 10) and the buffet was not refilled so we ended up eating what was left, a slice of cheese, 2 tomatoes, a piece of salami…maybe an egg. Those days we were also not asked if we wanted anything to drink because they were busy cleaning up the breakfast area already 45 minutes early... We saw that others had the same experience while we were there, and some of them even left carrying one fruit and a glass of water. We were also woken up abruptly by the doorbell before 09:00 because they came to clean our room without us having a sign that says “please clean our room”. Still confused about this. The shower was quite small and it was leaking but we stayed at other hotels around Sicily and it’s apparently a common issue.

Le personnel très agréable et efficace. Le petit déjeuner. L’emplacement.

Hôtel vétuste. Aménagement rudimentaire et négligé. Selon moi cet établissement ne justifie ni ses 3 étoiles ni son tarif.

Breakfast was adequate. Pastries were lovely but otherwise food was just about edible.

Smell of sewage in one of the rooms we had. Shower not working properly. Beds hard.

Hotel Posta was disappointing.

Good location - walking distance to everything.

You could smell the drains in the room. They advertise as having parking but they don’t, you have to take pot luck on the streets. The decor is from the 1970s and not in a good way. The mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable. The breakfast Buffett does not reflect what is in the advertised photos. Breakfast was cold, dry cakes, and you had to ask for coffees - no real service but no option to make your own drinks.

Our stay at this hotel was horrible

only the location

The property is completely rundown and bordering on disgusting. The bathroom had a smell of raw sewage. Hotel is well past its use by date and pictures online are misleading. This hotel dampened our stay and enjoyment of Siracusa. Don’t book this hotel under any circumstances.

Great location, nice staff

The beds were way too soft for my taste. We did ask to move rooms and they did try and were very nice but the beds weren't much better. Our first room was really claustrophobic, the bathroom was weird and narrow, honestly I would expect more from a 3star hotel

Superb

The views from the terrace (where breakfast was served) and room were wonderful. The location of the hotel at the entrance to Ortigia was great. Parking was easy. They do not provide valet parking, but there is ample public parking nearby; some free, most parking costs about 16 Euros/day.

I was not able to change bills into coins. This would have been helpful to be able to tip staff. A Nespresso machine in the room would have been great. As stated above, parking was easy. However, paying for parking was not. It took about (a frustrating) half an hour to do so while dodging other cars who were speeding through the lot. The machine at the parking lot apparently does only take cash and not take credit cards (despite clearly indicating that this was a possibility). Downloading the easypark app to pay for parking ahead of time is recommended. It took me about 15 minutes to download the app on site as the data connection was rather poor in the parking lot. On the upside: paying on the second day was a breeze.

Good choice

The hotel has a lot of character, lovely furnishings and touches in the rooms in a blue and white theme. The first room had everything including tea making facilities, had high ceilings and was spacious, had to transfer to a smaller room next day and missed the tea making facilities and no lift to the third floor with a very heavy case. Location was excellent with historic places and restaurants within easy walking distance. All staff were helpful. All rooms had a stocked minibar. Wifi reception was good.

Breakfast was adequate however more of a continental style whereas I like my cooked western styled breakfasts to start the day well.

Central location at a reasonable price

Great location and breakfast service. The room was a little small and the bed a bit too hard for my taste but the staff was very helpful.

Room smelled of paint when we arrived. Left the windows open to get fresh air.

Excellent Location and excellent Staff!

The Hotel Posta is a little gem on the island of Ortigia. It is perfectly located to the markets, as well as being close to the beach. The hotel staff is fantastic!

The air conditioner in my room didn't work that well.

We had a beautiful room with a view of the sea. The hotel is located in the old town from where you can easily walk around. Breakfast was okay.
