The breakfast was very good. Lots of choice and the Full English was great.
The room was a good size, the shower was fine the water was hot. Comfortable bed and no problem with noise.
The Hotel is a bit out from the town, about a 5 min walk. Has a good size car park.
The staff were so helpful and friendly.

The Hotel was great, clean and comfortable. All the staff from reception, breakfast service and the cleaning management were wonderful. Everyone was good natured and friendly. The breakfast menu was good and the food and service was spot on. We will definitely be making a return visit to this venue.

Room had everything that you would expect and a bit of a view. Bathroom had a opening window. Breakfast was good with decent cooked and continental choices. Friendly staff.
Hotel quite convenient for Rye town - just a 5 minute walk over the river bridge. Availability of parking was a big plus. Not sure where you could park if staying in the centre of Rye as it is a very old town with narrow streets.
Bed came with a memory foam mattress which we struggled to adapt to on our 2 night stay. This is obviously a very personal thing so just an observation. The bed also had a terrible squeak when you sat on it and the frame needed tightening up where the headboard joins it. It was okay when we laid down to sleep so we didn't report this until we checked out - the receptionist thanked us for reporting it.
The restaurant is currently closed in the evenings (April/May). Not great on a Sunday night as there is not much open in town either. We were quite lucky to find a nice place to eat (Webbe's Fish Cafe) which we can recommend.

Proximity to Rye. Quiet room. Friendly, responsive, very helpful staff. Comfortable bed. Spacious bedroom and bathroom. Good onsite parking.
Common parts were dated though we were told that this there is a rolling renovation programme in place. A more powerful shower would have been appreciated too.

Lovely out look from my room

I loved the location of the hotel! It was close to the town and easy to get to. We enjoyed the complimentary items in the hotel room such as tea, coffee and water. Although, the room provided only one can of water between two people. There were plenty of towels and a spacious bathroom. The receptionist was welcoming. The breakfast was lovely!
The reception desk should be manned better but understand, maybe they were short staffed. We had to wait for quite a while to check out and people could see that we were waiting.
The bed was uncomfortable. The cleaners in the hallway were talking really loudly and the walls are thin. The bathrooms are outdated and the curtains are not black out curtains.

The staff are friendly. Car park is very useful. Location is convenient. Rooms a bit dated but clean and got everything you need, even cans of water! We had room 4 on ground floor this time and that was the nicest room so far we have stayed in at this hotel.
It is a little bit dated but is still fine.

Wonderful location just a short walk from the town and situated on the river with lovely views. Staff were amazing.
Unfortunately the restaurant was shut. We did book the hotel aware that one of our 2 nights the restaurant would be shut but we were looking forward to eating there on the night it said it was open. Sadly we got there and we were told the restaurant was closed. Having said that we were allowed to get a takeaway and sit in the restaurant and have a drink also. It was lovely and staff were attentive.
The hotel was a little tired but my mother and I really did enjoy our stay here

The Staff here are lovely - so friendly and helpful... they made us feel very relaxed. The car park at the hotel is a bonus in Rye as not many properties have them, and the hotel is right on the river which is really pretty from the dining room. Bathroom was spotlessly clean. Bed was comfortable.
Some of the fittings and fixtures are a little bit dated.

close to town
no evening meal available. curtains had stains on, cobwebs in bedroom on windows and ceiling, dirty bathroom light and a pink medicine tablet on the floor possibly from a previous client, sausage on breakfast tasted like vegetarian which I didn’t request and the pouched egg was underdone

Really good location and excellent value for money. All staff were very welcoming
Whoever does the cleaning needs to look up from the carpet. Loads of cobwebs and debris around the dining room and hallway. Need to get the vacuum out

Enjoyable breakfast, with excellent service in riverside setting. Hotel well placed on edge of Rye with five minute walk to centre.
Pleasant room with views. Plenty of free parking.
Sadly, uninspiring architectural design of hotel in less attractive part of town.

Friendly staff
Easy check in and out
Location
Large car park
Prompt reaction to need for replacement light bulb (although should have been checked before occupancy)
Breakfast was adequate but greater selection would have been better.
No room telephone - friends had identical room with telephone!
Premises look very tired and needs rejuvenating.

Good location and friendly staff.
We had a problem with the toilet which meant we had to change rooms after a failed attempt to resolve the problem.
The bath in the second room had taps from a basin so it too ages to fill, I think that the owner does the plumbing and perhaps.......

Lovely warm welcome on arrival, easy check in, comfortable room, superb breakfast. Location is great too as next to river and a stones throw from the centre of Rye. Highly recommended
