Lovely staff. I would come here again.

I had booked and paid for a ground floor room because I am disabled. They wanted to give me a 2nd floor room. The receptionist had a real attitude problem and seemed annoyed that I insisted on getting the ground floor room I had paid for. I did not stay at this hotel - I left and came home, losing the cost of the room was better than staying with such awful people.
3.7
Easy to find, rooms like advertised, pleasant staff
The room was positioned above the smoking area - the entire room smelled of heavy smoke and there was no way to get rid of it (the staff also agreed it smelled strongly of smoke and suggested turning on the portable fan). Paid an upgrade to move room - the extractor fan in the bathroom still let the smoke in. Luckily didn't spend much time in the hotel.

god beliggenhed
De skriver at der er mulighed for morgenmad, men det er der i realiteten ikke.
Mangler en dør til badeværelset og man kan ikke stå op ved håndvasken. Ingen knager til håndklæder og ingen hylde at sætte sine badeværelse remedier på

staff are lovely
DONT STAY HERE
•bedbugs! woke up crawling!
•2 single beds pushed together for a “double”
mattresses are lumpy and ruined.
•neighbour loud and banging around all night
•averagely clean
•have stayed in better £25 yarmouth b&bs
would have been cheaper to go travelodge.
•awful value for money
staying here for a course and will probs fail my exams today due to exhaustion
want a refund!! will be requesting one.

Road quite noisy

The staff were very welcoming, location was great next to the canal with town centre around the corner.
Room got quite hot and stuffy as it was a small room, they did provide a fan which was a help, at the end of day it cant be helped with it being summer.
3.7
It's a clean place
The mattress isn't good enough

Everything is fine
I couldn’t sleep because of the next door and for 2 nights have noise to be honest I couldn’t sleep nothing 😣
3.7
Everything except location
The double glazing wasn't that good so at 5.30 am traffic up and down the rd was unreal , and you could hear everyone upstairs from coming in as room door was next to front door to throwing up probably to to much drink

Lovely hotel, good location close to everything. The staff was lovely very kind, everything we need was there nice and clean.very comfortable bed. Defefenetly we will go back again.
Everything was lovely

The hotel is virtually next to train station, so this was a big plus for me as I have arrived by train with two big luggages. The vibrant high street of Norwich is just a 10 minute walk away.
For the room, it was a little bit dusty so it could be better in that case but the double bed was comfy and the bathroom was large and clean. Also, if you are going to stay in ground floor room, there is very little soundproofing so you may hear lots of voice of cars passing by.
3.7
Location, nice size room
small nail in entrance to toilet area
3.7
Staff very polite and nice
We were placed in the very top room in a separate building. I have never ever stayed somewhere so cold before. The window may as well have not been in the room, it was like sleeping outside. The radiator barely worked and was not sufficient to warm the room. It was so cold I had to sleep with my coat on. The shower was also terrible.
3.7
Great location and comfy beds. Shame about the smell and staff.
The room smelt of smoke and staff were rude booking in sighing about 10 times while accusing us of not paying until we proved so.
3.7
Location was convenient
Had a weird smell. Terrible lighting in my room.
3.7
it’s close proximity to the railway station.
arriving 1 hour before check in and to be told if requiring to check in early it would be a cost of £30 , if had been informed about the extra cost wouldn’t have gone early ,we just wanted to leave bags if it was possible the gentleman did eventually let us leave our bag .

the parking was good
we we’re staying here for one night and we we’re happy to stay in a smaller room
However the room did smell damp upon arrival we opened the windows and left to meet our family hoping that the smell would not be there when we arrived back it was therefore we slept with the window open all night.
There was no ventilation at all, the ceiling in the bathroom was all peeing off due to the lack of ventilation.
There was a notice in the room that asked customers to inform the management directly of any concerns.
I did this and received this terrible reply. and just so you are aware the conditions that they mention in the reply, are due to myself stating that I was pregnant and that I am asthmatic.
to which they have responded that I should of made them aware. I did not know I was pregnant at the time of booking and did not feel like I had to let them know about this.
and also them questioning what kind of people we are for booking this kind of room, this room cost us £70 for one night and a parking permit. which I don’t think it particularly cheap.
Dear Keighley,
At "Riverside" we have 4 buildings and 9 different types of rooms for the variety of guests with different needs and budget.
When we received this booking on the 2 March 2022, I was asking myself: who are these people, making the reservation so far in advance and selecting our cheapest (our worst) room? All the better rooms were available, and at that time the prices were very low, for a few quid you could have Standard or even Superior room...
General info: ..."Please make sure the type of bed(s) and size of the room(s) you booked suit your needs. Note, there are Small (Economy), Standard and Superior sizes of the rooms. If Small room is selected, please expect it to be smaller than Standard room, one side of the bed against the wall and no view from the window.
When the cheapest room is selected, one should ask: "What kind of people book these rooms and in this area?

Friendly receptionist, really comfortable bed, warm pleasant temperature on a cold day, hot powerful great shower.
Very small room, cleanliness not brilliant (stains on carpet, bathroom basically clean but slightly grubby seeming, no bedside light or light above the bed, couldn't read in bed, room generally very dark with one light only near the window
