Breakfast was fantastic!
They didn’t have our daughters bed ready on arrival even though we had asked. However was resolved promptly.

Wide place, with acceptable cost.
Water was not clean, it was yellow color. When I speak to them they said the issue started from couples of days, and they did not inform us to change the reservation.
But, when I read the other comments, I found out that the water is not clean and yellow since longer time !
And they did not solve it or inform at reservation.
Room was not clean
The furniture is old and they need to change it.
Partially view to the see Not full

The location, the hotel and atmosphere
DStv channels are limited
4.0 / 5.0
The setting, appointment of rooms and the very professional and friendly staff.
There is some maintenance needed in the rooms (small water marks in the wallpaper, large crack through the bath) as well as in the dining room (wooden cladding on wall near breakfast buffet has quite a few dents, scratches and chips). These are isolated things I noted and did not detract from the overall beauty and comfort.

View, staff and venue!
Stiff breakfast rules and lack of flexibility.
3.0 / 5.0
The venue is situated in a beautiful area and the staff are really helpful to all requests
The first suite we stayed in did have an operational aircon and then the second suite did not have hot water, luke warm.

The location is nice, the grounds and potential for the hotel is nice. But its completely run down.
Carpet in every room stinks, water damage and mold on every wall, broken tiles, dirty, need attention literally with everything. Some rooms are not part of main hotel and are on 3 levels up with no elevator, you have to carry your luggage up 3 flights of stairs, and then walk to the main hotel for restaurant to eat. Restaurante ran down, cushions in outside patio ripped and no one cares. Spa is unpleasant, mold and water damage on every wall. Towels smell like old oil and are sticky, so either they are not using enough laundry soap or not using hot water to wash, or better yet why mix towels from massage oil treatment with all other towels. Honestly completely not what we expected. Door to room 339 was only opening half way and extremely hard to open, the frame was breaking out of the wall. Room 338 the latch was broken out of the door. Four tiles in bathroom 339 were completely loose above the toilet, so if you accidentally bumped them - they would fall out on your head. I can spend hours listing items, thats how bad it is.

Breakfast was very nice and the staff were very friendly and nice. The spa was also great. Room was nice and big.
I don't normally complain, but since I paid extra for the President Suite I did expect a lot more. The aircon in the room wasn't working and it wa quite hot and stuffy in the room, the staff did supply fans, but we still had to open windows for airflow, letting in lots of mosquitos which was not quite ideal. There was no indication when booking, that the main pool area was under construction and we had to go use the pool at the gym area, so it wasn't quite as advertised. The bath water was quite brown even after letting it run for a while. And then lastly there was a function held at the venue which went on to past 11pm with very loud music, which does not really promote a relaxing evening. There should have at least been some communciation regarding this.

I visited this hotel in 2011 and 2021, every time it was impressive.
The lobby still looked great and the staff there were helpful and friendly.
Both the outside and inside of the rooms definitely needs maintenance. There were crackles on the wall and painting, the locker in my room was missing, washing sink smelled terrible, air con was not working, no slipper, gowns, teeth brush or any other basis kits in the bathroom. No charger for iphone and the power socket was quite far from the bed. Overall, it's very inconvenient.

Fantastic rooms
The restaurant is very disapointing and the hotel breakfast bad. One expects a nice restaurant at such a fantastic location.

Bathroom is nice. Breakfast has good option especially for vegans and vegeterians. Room is spacious. Although rooms are a dated, they are nice.
Most of the facilities are closes. Table tennis gone
Everthing felt a bit dates. Reaort feels a bit dead. Main restaurant closed. Shops closed or vacant
Really looks ghost towny.
Everything needs attention especially the tennis court and village era.

Very nice location.
Staff desperately require hospitality training. Room we stayed in flooded when it rained. Besides the flooding, the rooms require general maintenance.

Room was spacious, air conditioning worked during load shedding.
No bar/drinks area / no proper restaurant on site.
Outside areas not maintained or cleaned, no patio furniture at rooms.

Good views. peaceful and relaxing
You would need a car to travel to see the sights in the area and eat at restaurants other than those at the hotel.

Spacious room, comfortable bed and wingback chair
Lacks general maintenance. Balcony had weeds & moss growing. Sliding door between bath & bed didn't close. Aircon did not work. Outdated TV & few TV channels. Spa pool not heated. Food at the Bistro Pub was cold, undercooked and the music so loud, waitress couldn't even hear our order. Was the only option for an evening meal. No reply on my email direct to the reservations team on the same day of check-in. Breakfast was mediocre with cheese and fruit looking like they were there from the night before. The spreads on the buffet was just gross and unhygienic with the knives left in each open bottle, i.e. peanut butter, marmite, jams, etc. (Never in my life have I experienced this and I have traveled across SA and the world and have been in the Hospitality Industry) And the Koi Pond needs a good clean!
