Cleanest place we have ever stayed at and the hosts were excellent. Simon went out of his way to assist us with all our needs. We loved coming back from the city to this quiet yet easily reachable place. Transport links are great and the bus to Liverpool is just round the corner. Breakfast cooked by Sue was great and was served in the lovely home dining room. Cannot recommend more! We would definitely book again if we were to visit Liverpool in the future.

Super,
Everything was excellent.
Simon, was so friendly, to bring us to a restaurant, because no taxis, was available in the first hour, in the late evening , and in the morning, he drives us to, the mersyferry s, to seeing Liverpool. So kind.
Also Sue, coming waving us out, after checking out.
Thanks Simon and Sue.

This B&B was very well appointed and the hosts were extremely helpful and most accommodating of my dietary needs. They were approachable, engaging and interested - they treated us more like friends rather than paying guests so we felt very welcome in their home.
There wasn't really anything we didn't like. Although our room was on the second floor we managed the stairs without too much trouble for 'old codgers' in our mid 60s. I would have liked a bath but enjoyed using the shower so no issues at all.

Excellent B & B in every respect. Probably the best we have ever stayed in.
Nothing to not like.

Everything. House was lovely in a quiet road with the bus stop a few yards away which took us into liverpool in 20mins.
Fabulous breakfast. The room was equipped with everything you could want and more..
The host very kindly gave us a lift to the ferry in our first morning advising us on what to see
Nothing. Everything excellent.

Very clean and comfortable. Extremely welcoming. Woke to a lovely breakfast. Very friendly staff.

we were catching a morning ferry. The location was perfect for that.

Very kind text message from the owner on the day of my arrival, letting me know about parking options and a few more useful things. Very nice home made cake offered on my arrival from the fridge. And if I had known, that they serve fruit salad for breakfast, I would have only had that salad. Their fruit salad is amaaaaaaazing.
The only one thing that I did not like was a neighbour listening loudly some weird music. And that noise kept me awake, despite my efforts to sleep.

Simon and Susan demonstrated exactly how it should be done. Did not feel like we were in a B&B but more a home. Very comfortable, Susan's breakfast was absolutely delicious and Simon was the perfect host. We certainly will be staying again. Everything was perfect.
Many thanks

We had a wonderful stay at the Rocklands. Simon and Sue were so welcoming and friendly (as was Fergus, their beautiful Shetland sheepdog!) and they went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Simon even gave us a lift to catch the ferry across to Liverpool on our first morning, as well as giving us lots of advice about attractions, bus times and a very useful map.
Our room was lovely, so comfortable and spotlessly clean, and Sue's "Bloody Lovely" cakes certainly lived up to their name! Plentiful tea and coffee was provided, as well as real milk and bottles of water.
Breakfast was absolutely delicious, and presented so nicely. We had a full cooked breakfast each morning, as well as fruit salad and yogurt, and cereal...we were certainly set up for the day!
Although we were on the Birkenhead side of the Mersey, the bus stop almost outside the property made getting to and from Liverpool city centre an absolute doddle, and they ran around every 20 minutes, till late at night. We got a day rider on one of our days and it only cost £8.50 for both of us, which was a real bargain.
We wouldn't hesitate to come back here, and would recommend it wholeheartedly!

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. Very convenient location, pretty quiet but close enough to the main roads, sea, supermarkets, extremely clean and comfortable room, tasty food and the main thing were the hosts Simon and Susan. They were very welcoming and made us feel like at home. It was our second stay at this B&B and we hope far away from the last one. When we decided to go to Birkenhead again we had no doubt that we would like to spend another couple of nights in 2 The Rocklands. As at very first time we got again quite a few extras what made our stay even more pleasant. This B&B has good private parking what was additional bonus. It seems the hosts thought about everything you might need. There were additional blankets, electric fan just in case if it's not warm enough for you. But really the room was very very warm. We were surprised with the choice of tea and coffee in the room. A little fridge kept a bottle of milk fresh during the stay. The complimentary home made dessert waited for us on arrival as well))) You have no need to take with you your own slippers as a pair for each guest was already prepared, there were bathrobes what you could put on after shower or bath, I have never seen in any other B&B so many different towels. It seems I even didn't have so many different parts of body))) There were quite a few chairs and the table what sometimes are missing in the similar places. Some additional things for hygiene and more ,more, more. The bathroom in the room 2 was just amazing! Again the biggest one I've ever seen in the B&B .Thank you very much for our nice stay.
There was absolutely nothing do not be happy with. From the first moment of arrival to the leaving time we were absolutely happy with everything.

Very friendly and helpful staff, very clean and comfortable, excellent breakfast, very well thought out of how to make our stay comfortable, everything we needed down to dressing gowns and slippers, will definitely recommend and will book again .

Good quality and quantity breakfast. Very delicious. Filled me all day.
I have absolutely no complain.

Electric car charger was the main reason I went for this B&B. The standard of cleanliness was exceptional and the room was warm but with a thermostat on the radiator I could turn the heat down during the night and turn it up in the morning.
There wasn't much choice in good eating establishments within walking distance and no hot food was allowed in the bedrooms so ordering a takeaway was out.

Immaculately clean and great location. Hosts were brilliant too and a fantastic breakfast. We will return. Great location as it was just a short bus ride into Liverpool centre.
Nothing, it was fabulous 👌

Lovely hosts. Great breakfast. Wonderful bathrooms.

The location was great for Liverpool, the ferry and bus stop near. Lovely walks within walking distance. The accommodation was excellent.
Simon and Susan are great hosts and the breakfast was exceptional. I would definitely recommend this beautiful b and b.

Breakfast was first class - fresher ingredients than any we had in any of the hotels we visited during our trip. Good location as oniy 15 minutes drive to Stena boat and a 20 minute walk to the pub/restaurant.

Breakfast excellent. Welcoming warm and helpful. Quality throughout. Decor tasteful and not overdone. I travel for a living. I am a connoisseur of accommodations. The Rocklands is exceptional. Thanks to Simon and Susam.
If I could have stayed longer.

All excellent as we informed the Hosts.
Would highly recommend and will be booking again.
Thank you Simon & Susan thoroughly enjoyed our stay with you.
Nothing negative.

Spacious, spotless, high quality accommodation. Everything was supplied including a fridge with fresh milk and decent tea bags! Perfect cooked to order breakfast. The hosts were impeccable.

The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was huge and absolutely spotless clean. Great choice of lovely, beautifully presented food. Fantastic location - quiet, green, with beautiful grounds to explore nearby. The whole experience for us was absolutely amazing - everything we wanted and more.
Wish we had more time to stay!

Simon and Sue are both delightful people and should be very proud of what they provide, including the “bloody lovelies”.
The lounge attached to Room 1 was both appropriate and very comfortable; truly ‘home from home’.
We will probably never have a reason to stay again but all ‘guest houses’ should be like 2 The Rocklands.
A perfect location from which to explore the City of Liverpool and The Wirral, without the ‘noise’ of ‘the big city’.
Well done.
Vic & Maureen Jackson.
Nothing.

As soon as I arrived, Simon was at the door to greet me. He helped with my bags and was so friendly and inviting. The Rocklands is a home from home, it is a lovely, relaxing place and I will definitely be returning. Simon and his wife are so friendly and even catered for my vegan diet. I really enjoyed my stay here and cannot recommend The Rocklands enough. The suite was beautiful and really clean, the bed was comfortable and I had an amazing nights sleep. This really is a great place to stay.

Charming and accommodating hosts, very clean, quiet and comfortable establishment, and ideally suited to my requirements. A real gem.
A very tiny point, the shower head requires attention, 50% of the water leaks our around the head rather than coming out through the spray. It's not a big issue, because I managed, and I should have mentioned it to the proprietors before I left, but clean forgot. Perhaps I am being harsh, but if not for this it would have been a score of "10"

Modern, exceptionally clean, with lots of extra touches in room and ensuit. Good hosts, even had homemade cake and bottled water in the room. Breakfast cooked to order was great. Close to bus stop to bus stop for Liverpool.
Described as hotel but really guest house. However very pleasant stay.
