The staff was very friendly, pleasant and helpful. The location of the hotel was very convenient, close to the trains station, restaurants and bus to Machu Picchu. There was a generous variety for breakfast.
The bathroom layout could be slightly better.

The staff was very attentive and upgraded me to a higher category room.
The shower in my original room was broken and as a result the entire bathroom got flooded.

nothing
- rooms are right in front of train station, it’s extremely loud and impossible to sleep
- toilet smells really bad
- expensive for what the quality is

my room on the back of the hotel was right over the river.
the fact that they promised to. ring my backpack to me in the boarding area for the train, but didnt show up. I nearly missed my train. A heroic train attendant ran to the hotel and procured it, and we both jumped on the train literally seconds before it started moving.
Also i splurged a hot stone massage that was a joke… an unpleasant one. The only reason i didn’t get up and walk out 20 minutes in was that i told myself to be compassionate, and that she might not know or care what she was doing because she had a hard life going on at home.

Breakfast was great, our room was a triple room, and it was cozy and comfortable. The location was great, we arrived in the train, and it was right in front of the station. There are a lot of restaurants near the hotel, and the bus station to Machu Picchu is a two-minute walk. The hotel is beside the river, so it has a great view.
The room didn't have AC or heater, we didn't need it in our stay because of the weather, but I think it is definitely something to have in mind.

The location is really good. A few minutes walk from the train as it is situated right on the train line. We reserved 2 rooms, one with a river view which was nice - no noise from the train at all. The other was facing the tracks on the 5th floor. Noise from the train could be heard, but not enough to interrupt sleep. Reception staff were very helpful as we needed to print off documents, use the computer, do laundry and store luggage - all our requests were handled well. It is a very short walk to both the train station as well as the departure point of the coaches to Machu Picchu.
The breakfast wasn't great at all (we ate at 7am). Cold scrambled eggs, lukewarm coffee and what tasted like watered-down fruit juice. The town however has an abundance of restaurants offering breakfast - so alternatives were easy to find.

Great breakfast selection that starts early enough to catch the early morning bus to Macchu Picchu. Very close to the train. Quiet rooms.

such an amazing experience. location is super convenient next to the Machu Picchu train station. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday and they went above and beyond to make it special. scenic Mountain Views from from my patio.

A nice hotel right by the train station. Great size for a triple room.
The shower in our bathroom was not working properly and it also leaked loads of water straight into the bedroom (our friends in a different room reported the same issue). Breakfast should start earlier taking into consideration the first time slots to get into Machu Picchu. Coffee was ice cold when served at 5AM, which seems like an old batch just being re-heated.

location
overpriced for what it is, there are better options in the area. also the property charges you in US dollars and when i asked to pay in local currency they asked me an additional fee of 40USD.

rooms are spacious but decoration is poor missing something and shower wasn’t that clean at the borders of the slide doors… all the rest clean !!

The location is excellent, right in the middle of everything. Close to the train station, the bus to Machu Picchu, the hot springs, shopping. The view of the river is awesome, and you can open the window and hear the river roaring, so relaxing.

I liked that it was right off the river. and close to everything shopping and restaurants.
