Comfortable and clean
There needs to be stronger lighting, especially by the beds

Pittoreske ligging aan de rivier met oude brug. Prachtige eeuwenoude Inn. Prima appartement met eigen terras. Schitterend wandelgebied langs de Wye.
Lidl op een paar km afstand in Monmouth.
Weg ernaar toe erg smal. Maar avontuurlijk. Goed te doen bij daglicht. Parkeren aan de andere kant van de brug goed alternatief.

Relaxing stay in lovely traditional pub full of character with natural woodland gardens by the River Wye. Apartment was lovely, clean, comfortable, attractive decor & well equipped. Perfect for 4 people. The pub served great food and there were fantastic views.

Fantastic location. Had not been here for 30 and on a bit of a nostalgia tour as brought up in the area. It did not disappoint. Very clean and well equiped. Would recomend as a base to discover the area or for watersports on the river. I cannot believe I will not be back.

Excellent location, very cosy.

The. location is amazing, very rural, quiet, relaxing. Saw some big salmon jumping for flies in the Wye. Great place for bird / wildlife watching. Lovely and clean on this side of the the Wye and over the bridge in Redbrook, no litter anywhere, pride is taken in these communities. Staff were very polite, responsive and welcoming. We had a lovely burger in the pub. Great local ciders, beers, and Wye Valley gin available even! Would stay again. The terrace above is a fantastic place to have a coffee / glass of wine. The plants,- flora and fauna are stunning, and listening to the birdlife was really heartwarming. A truly close to nature experience.
The fat fryer cooking smells were very prominent from the pub downstairs, because it was very humid, our windows had to be open. The furniture on the terrace needs some TLC

Location amazing, park over the bridge though which is 9.5 miles away but 150 yards by foot. Lovely pub. great if you have dogs, good food. kitchen well stocked and the shower was great
If you have dog allergies take some tablets with you. The steep steps up to the house if you have dodgy knees.

The location was amazing with a great view over the river. Lovely hosts, great little country pub and fabulous food.
Communication on entry as to the location of the key, but it was minor. Speak to the owner, not the bar staff, and this won’t be an issue.

Great location and staff were fantastic

Good location for walks. Friendly staff and locals in the pub. The accommodation was cosy and had everything you need. Nice for a weekend break.
The steps up to the accommodation are very steep and uneven. No problem for us but could be for people not so stedy on their feet..

Lovely nook in a beautiful part of the world. We had a fabulous mini break here with the children. The pub is delightful, wood burner crackling away and a great choice of ciders.

Such an amazing location, stunning views and the perfect base to explore the area. Right on the river Wye, such a beautiful spot. We loved our stay. It’s really dog friendly, loads of walks right on the doorstep. Such a warm welcome by all at The Boat Inn. We enjoyed some gorgeous food, ploughmans platter, calamari and toasted sandwiches, all fresh and delicious. Sampled some local ciders at the pub too, our favourite was the “happy dayzee “.
The accommodation is spacious and has everything you could need. steep little steps up to it though, which some may find an issue, though it wasn’t for us. Also a secret garden terrace which was perfect to sit out and enjoy the views. The little local shop just across the bridge had everything else we could need.
Nothing we can think of. It’s brilliant !

The area was scenic with lots to do. The bed was comfortable and the bath was a good size.
The seating area was only big enough for 2 people, not 4 and we would have liked larger bath towels! Shame about the power cut but not the host's fault and although there were issues with the water, these were sorted.

I would probably say the location, it’s amazing!

Was wonderful, perfect! very comfortable, warm and clean. everything we needed. Loved all the thoughtful little things.
We didn’t get to try the pub food as we hadn’t realised no evening meals on Sundays and closed on Mondays (we only stayed Sat-Mon).

Worth it Awkward location but its

Cosy, comfortable, warm, great that it was so close to good local walks and amenities particularly the good food and drink in the pub itself
Bit of confusion about access as the pub itself was closed when we arrived, however the landlady answered our call very quickly and sorted us out

Cosy and warm on arrival. Very clean.

The cottage was clean, warm and quiet. Good sized rooms, well equipped and a lovely location with lots of walks on the doorstep.
The access is steep, and uneven, but we were expecting this!

the property was lovely and we had a terrific stay there. the only gripe we have is that the road to get down to the property was extremely scary as there was a sheer drop to the right of us, the road was barley big enough to get the car through and there were no places to pass other cars if we had met any on the way down, which luckily we didnt. the cottage was lovely and it was a brilliant and beautiful location with waterfalls and the river outside. the cottage had everything we needed and we really had a great break away. the steps up to the cottage are a bit steep but its a small price to pay for such a beautiful place.
just the road down to the pub and steps to the front door of the cottage. everything else was brilliant

Lovely location - woodlands-waterfalls-river. Quirky little Pub attached, with views of the river and good lunch selection.
TV reception poor, due to location but we didn't go there to watch TV!

Location, food, people, accomodation, all in all very nice place to relax, away from busy life
Everything was very good. There is not a thing we didn't like

Good size bedrooms and bathroom and kitchen had all the bits we needed.
Little terrace was great for an early evening glass of wine.
Be aware of narrow lanes to access.
