Great staff, Fantastic Food

Staff friendly and welcoming, food Fantastic, rooms very clean.

Very warm in room, even with window open, no fan in cupboard as told. When we noticed this it was 11.30 at night, partner went down to see if anyone still about, young lady was cashing up, she actually built us a new fan and bought it up. Exceptional customer service.

Great place with exceptional breakfast and very quiet

The breakfast was wonderful, best scrambled egg I've ever had!

The bathroom light kept going off as its on a motion sensor, so putting my make-up on was a little tricky 😜

Great little hotel with fantastic staff

This is our second stay and it didn’t disappoint. The rooms are lovely beautifully clean with everything you need. Beds and pillows warm and fluffy and the shower was amazing. Breakfast was lovely. What makes this hotel is the staff friendly with great customer service. I’m hoping we will return soon.

Lovely place to stay with great restaurant with quality food.

Lovely cosy bar and restaurant. Lovely decor and beautifully made up rooms. Very lovely staff. I didn’t get the ladies name that checked us in but she was lovely and very professional. A big mention to Elliott. What a lovey young man. He gave impeccable hospitality service and really went the extra mile to make us feel welcome at dinner and breakfast.

Just fabulous highly recomended

From check in to checking out the whole experience at staying at the Angel Inn was fabulous. The staff were very welcoming friendly and went that extra mile all the time. Requests were put in for a special birthday and they couldn't have done more for us. Thank you so much mum had the best suprise birthday weekend away.

Very welcoming, comfortable and clean with a good menu. Very convenient location for visiting the surrounding areas.

Very nicely decorated throughout. Keeping the original character of the Inn, but with a modern twist.

Could do with a better fan in the bedroom.

Lovely pub with amazing spa bath, and great location!

Breakfast very good. Spa bath amazing! Location great to visit Southwold and surrounding area.

Pillows quite thick and uncomfortable. Could smell food from pub kitchen which lingered in bathroom. But we knew when booking we were over a pub so take into account

The people running this place know what they are doing and simply could not have done anything more or better.

Clean friendly and keenly priced. Just wanted to add that the breakfasts were absolutely excellent.

I am struggling to find anything that was not to like.

A one night stay but we will be back for a long weekend soon.

The pub was lovely as was our room, very comfortable and very spacious. The staff, although young, were really friendly and polite. Great food too.

Beautiful Inn - Breakfast perfect - room excellent

very friendly staff and comfortable room. Excellent vegetarian breakfast, really enjoyed our overnight stay

Everything was lovely; we had an evening meal which was also excellent, however the limited vegetarian menu would mean we may not visit as often as other places with more choice.

Sat to Sunday stay

Good position with lots of parking on site, the staff were very helpful, we had a meal in the evening , which was very good.. Not much around the property itself, but close to Southwold or Aldeburgh which are both lovely. Nicely decorated and everything was clean. I would recommend.

The radiators had been turned off, so room was cold when we first entered, but we turned them on and it did get cosy

fantastic.

hotel was situated in a lovely village. The staff were very friendly on arrival. room was spotlessly clean and smelt lovely when we entered. bathroom was again spotlessly clean. breakfast was lovely and very well cooked. a thoroughly enjoyable stay and will definitely be coming back.

only minor thing was the mattress was too soft for me but that’s just a personal preference for me.

Superb

We had a lovely stay. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and had a very nice meal. This was followed the next day by a massive full English breakfast. All of the food was very tasty and well presented. The staff are very friendly and approachable.

Nothing really. It might be worth pointing out that as the venue is a very old pub some of the floors in the rooms (bedroom 3 and 4 at least) slope and so if you are not expecting it it can feel slightly odd - though you do get used to it.

We first visited the Angel by chance a few years back for a meal. We love coming here for the food and the friendly staff. We now stay too because its a 3 hour car journey to enjoy a meal out here. The rooms are comfortable, clean and cosy. Excellent breakfast, thank you.

Fabulous find. We are already planning our return visit.

Rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable. We were offered an upgrade at no extra cost, such a lovely gesture, just because the superior room was available. We had the Sunday roast which was beautifully cooked and served. The substantial breakfast was freshly cooked for us in the morning to set us up for the day. All staff were friendly and welcoming.

There was nothing to dislike.
