Sunset Bay Villas is a beautiful property in a perfect location to access all that Chincoteague has to offer. The unit we stayed in was well-equipped, clean, comfortable, and lovely. We will stay here again.

My wife and I really enjoyed the space. The Master Suite . Gave a 4 on one location because of the noise of some machine/ air condition unit outside by coast guard place beside the condo. It was so loud my wife couldn't sleep. Otherwise great.

This was a last minute trip. Glad we chose Chincoteague and especially pleased with everything about these accommodations. I think May was a perfect time of year to explore everything about the islands of Chincoteague and Assateague without the mosquitoes. We did boat tour with our dog, hiking and walking the beach. We did some dinners out and made others at home. The kitchen is fabulous and everything was clean and tidy. Every evening ended with a beautiful view of the sunset from our balcony. Very relaxing! Would happily stay here again and highly recommend.

The condo was lovely, could have been cleaner, floors weren’t vacuumed or washed. A lot of restaurants or sandwich shops weren’t open, it felt like summer was already over! 8/13-20

FYI to those who have trouble handling stairs: handicapped ramp and elevator is at opposite end of the bldg from this condo. We had dog so this very inconvenient for us to walk do. Condo itself was superior accommodation with updated kitchen appliances. We did not receive a code to open the lock on front door before we arrived, as promised by mgmt. co. as expected so kerfuffle at door to gain access.

This property is great for us and the elevator clinches the deal as one of our party is a wheelchair user. The location is perfect, walking distance to everything, and the unit is clean, well laid-out, and comfortable. This was our second stay and I’m sure there will be more!

We have never been to Chincoteague before, but thought it would be a great place to relax during our annual March Madness weekend - basketball watching, relaxing, and enjoying seafood. It did not disappoint. The condo was very clean and comfortable. The view was beautiful. We watched a pair of loons each day. We even took a ride to see the ponies which we could see in the distance. It was a wonderful vacation, and we would definitely recommend the accommodations. We were pleased.

Great location. 2nd floor with water view. The exterior of the building needed sprucing up. The unit was likely 5 star at some point. But now it needs a little more attention to detail. In order to have room for food items in the cupboards I had to take out tons of plastic ware/containers. Which then I had to replace at departure. There was a large amount of open food that was left by former visitors. Otherwise you could tell that if the rule of “less is more” was observed it could still be homey but freshened.

This spacious, well-designed, we’ll-maintained condo is in a truly excellent location. Our party included a wheelchair user so we really appreciated having the elevator. The condo was comfortable and included all amenities. Loved the covered balcony so, so much. Owners were responsive and very helpful. Highly recommend this unit for your next trip to wonderful Chincoteague!

We enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking at the water and being able to walk downtown in just minutes. Our dog didn't end up making the trip but something to note for little and/or senior dog owners is that the grass space is a bit of a walk, down flights of stairs and around the building either across the parking lot or via the docks.

A Chincoteague Favorite

This updated property is conveniently located just off of Main Street, within walking distance of Chincoteague shops, restaurants, and the fairgrounds. As a family that has been visiting Chincoteague for over 30 years, this property was well equipped for our stay! There was plenty of room for our family and children to sleep and play. We were able to access the dock for crabbing and the pool for afternoon dips. Just a short drive to Maddox, Memorial park, and the beach, we enjoyed the convenience that this property offered. The kitchen was well stocked with an array of new and useful appliances and kitchenwares. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable, offering plenty of light with all the comforts of home. We enjoyed the outdoor space, often lounging on the deck in the early hours of morning and after returning from daytime adventures. Everything was beautifully decorated, updated, and cared for. Our ONLY complaint was the cleanliness of the property. As a dog-friendly home, I expected to find dog hair, but I did not anticipate to gather it on all of our clothes and scoop it up from the floors. With a toddler and young baby, who both spend a good amount of time playing on the floor, this was an inconvenience for us. Not the end of the world, we just ended up cleaning the floors. We did unfortunately find a few additional surprises within the bedrooms as well as some glass shards, most likely left behind from previous vacationers. I would expect such a beautiful and well maintained property to be cleaned more thoroughly in the future. Despite the cleanliness, it is still a Chincoteague favorite in our book!

This condo had one of the nicest layouts that we have stayed at rental property in. From the huge TV, large couch, update kitchen appliances, it was hard to say good bye. It also was easy to bring our dog with the couch liners and the dog bowls they have available :)
