The room was clean, and the beds were comfy. The family pool was super fun and the food was decent.

The location was fantastic, walking distance to many places.
There was a “rust” stain at the bottom of our toilet… it would not go away. People do not want to see that every time they use restroom. Change the toilet. It’s was a great room with balcony, other than that.

The lobby was impressive upon entry. Desk associate was friendly and helpful. Those flowers!! The scent floated into our room- just spectacular!
The price to park my car each day, and so many fees! Wow!

Location when going to Legoland is prime. It’s a short 5 minute walk from the park. They have a nice family pool, activity center and staff were nice.
The rooms were old. We had two rooms booked and both rooms had the sticky feeling carpet. So I’m assuming it’s just really old carpet that needs a good cleaning. The AC works but is so stuffy. Like filters need to be replaced or something. Everyone had stuffy nose at night that goes away when we leave the room. The rooms need a lot of TLC.

Staff not very informative

The hotel sits directly above the flower fields, so our views were amazing. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. Safe parking. Nice staff!
The hotel, in general, is nice but shows its age and some wear despite a recent-ish styling upgrade.
The hotel's placement makes the freeway noise a big factor, and it's always loudly present if you open a window to enjoy the sea breeze or views. To top it off, the ancient AC in our room was so loud that it made it difficult to have a normal conversation and went on and off all night waking us up several times.
Their pool and surrounding area were also nice but very crowded, so the pool, jacuzzi, and fire pits are at a premium. There is no pool attendent, so used towels are abundant and everywhere.

Location was close enough to Legoland to walk to it. But the map the hotel gave us is not to scale. You really do have to walk at least 1/4 mile to get to the Legoland hotesl parking lot.
The room was adequate. 4 Queen size feather down pillows on the bed for a king bed. Th eblackout windows do work.
I did like the hand/body lotion, the shampoo and conditioner, nice natural scent. This hotel is trying to be more eco-friendly by not having plastic containers like mini shampoo, soap, etc. Room came with small refrigerator which is needed for all the water you need as you use the air conditioner, you get real thirsty.
There is a pool to swim in, its called a quiet pool. We did not use the pool.
The check in was somewhat easy, except for the confusion on my last name. When we checked in, the employee tried to add me to Hilton Honors, but there was some problem with their system. It said my name was already listed. It is very easy to have the same first, last name. I said that is not me, I am a native Californian. I even presented my driver's license. He had the issue of trying to enter my name/address...
The accommodations were OK, the bed was horrible. Thin mattress made for uncomfortable evening to sleeep. Plus, queen feather pillows really don't work for a good night's sleep.
Why not have a separate light switch for the shower/tub and the bright big mirror? When you wake up early in the morning, the frosted glass on the bathroom door does shine very bright... waking up the other person in the room. Too bright if you ask me.
When you close the curtains, and the room is pitch black and you need the bathroom, you will stumble because there is no nightlight to get you to the bathroom. I had to use my cell phone as a flashlight. Very dangerous, especially for kids. One could fall down. I found myself taking tiny steps back to the bed, hoping I was not going to hit a door, a chair, table.
A very small gift shop... more like a kiosk, where no one is assigned it to. You have to pay for it at the front desk. This does not make sense. If you are close to an amusement park, why not have concessions, gifts for your customers to buy as mementos.
Starbucks/Bar really does not work. If I want to go to starbucks and stand in line there, I will do that. This combo does not work. No one to tell you that you need to stand in line at the bar, to place your food order. What's that all about?
Then wait to see if the servers bring your food to you. I watched servers ask each table that had people sitting at it if these plates were their orders... not organized, not properly staffed. Not much to choose from on the menu.
When we checked out, I reviewed my bill... what exactly is with all the fees? I understand the local and city taxes, but assorted fees? Are they really essential, needed? Probably not. Most reviews say it is ridiculous to have that fee there.

Walking distance to Legoland, Brewery restaurant located next door, nice pool area
Lacked some expected toiletries (conditioner), other points local of interest require a longer walk/driving (but hotel offers a shuttle)

The food was terrible and the staff had no interest whatsoever in being helpful

Mudslide drinks at the lobby bar were incredible. All the conveniences you could need at an affordable price. So hard to find these days!!
A ton of fees. Things Ive never heard of. Urban experience fee..this fee, that fee...kind of crazy that allowed.

Very comfortable room and good customer service.
Let down by charging for parking.
Disappointed after checking out and looking at my bill to find I had been charged for parking.
Not good attention to detail as I did not have a car.
No-one had asked or checked.

good location, kind employees, good food
shower booth instead of the bathtub

The pool was nice. The room was clean and in good condition.
Getting upcharged for things like parking and "activities," whatever that means. Being forced to turn over private information and data access and join the Hilton cult in order to access free wifi and then the signal was poor after all that. The restaurant was kind of mind-bogglingly disorganized. HVAC was really loud and woke me up several times a night.

Lobby was beautiful
Balcony view of street/hwy
I had higher expectations for the room based on what the lobby looked like
Didnt expect the pool to be a lap pool

I left a pair of prescription glasses in the room. I know that they were turned in and no one will call me back or tell me about them. Because you are not allowed to communicate with the cleaning crew I have no way of knowing if they found these glasses. It depends on how they were logged in on your lost and found log. Were they logged in as Sunglasses under S? Were they logged in as reading glasses under R? Were they logged into spectacles under S?? The fact that I cannot communicate with the head of cleaning is ridiculous or the head of security these glasses cost me a fortune and I truly believe they are somewhere

Close to Legoland, family pool & spray park, comfortable mattresses. Staff was accommodating when we needed to change rooms bc a/c was not functioning.
Not close to anything other than Legoland, extremely disappointing on site food options. The “continental breakfast” that we paid $$$ for as part of our reservation was a single stale Costco pastry and coffee OR tea OR juice OR milk — incredibly stingy compared to the beautiful buffet breakfasts that we’ve had as the included breakfast from other hotels on booking.com and disappointing for a hotel that holds itself out as a boutique, luxury option. No fruit, cereals, yogurt, hot options, etc. are offered as part of the included breakfast, and there is no buffet (at any price). While the hotel offered a set hot meal option (2 eggs, breakfast meat, toast, coffee/tea, and juice/milk) after we complained, ordering hot food (at an extra cost) takes forever, requires waiting in a long line (no table service), and room service is not offered. (I’m also vegetarian so the proffered alternative was not really workable.) All in all, we were expecting better (much better) food and service from a boutique luxury hotel at this price point, and it was particularly problematic since there aren’t other dining options within walking distance. I don’t normally write reviews, let alone negative reviews, but wanted others to know to avoid paying extra for breakfast as it probably isn’t what you are expecting.

The king bed and fire pits outside.
The high price and no pullout bed .

Location is convenient, was not overwhelmingly busy, place is clean but small.
Room and location of hotel/resort was small considering the price. Coastal view was not really coastal but that’s okay.

This hotel is located in a very convenient area close to the outlet and Lego Land. They even provided free shuttles to nearby places. The nearby La Jolla beach is the best to visit.
However, the hotel breakfast is ok but you can also find many good restaurants in this area.

Breakfast was ok. Not much variety. Ordering was at the bar with long lines with too many children running around. Service was good, but it was noisy and hectic. Nice facility and room. A long walk from the lobby to my room.
Too close to Legoland so there were too many kids, lots of noise, generally hectic environment.

The convenience for my family and the location was perfect for me and my 3 little ones!! we came for a two day Legoland vacation, I just wish we had more time to enjoy all the amenities, but will be back!
Parking was tight but not horrible.

it was very pretty and the kids pool was perfect.
definitely need better room service options and the front desk definitely needs some customer service training. I felt I was a big inconvenience when I went to ask any questions

Pool was cold. May 15th 8:30am ordered food downstairs. Guy working was really rude to me. It just seems like he didn't like his job and didn't want to be there. Maybe he was frustrated or not a morning person. I just ordered to go and went upstairs to my room
