This property has everything you could want for a vacation on the water. It has so many great amenities and the house was well stocked in the kitchen, games and outdoor activities.
It was secluded and quiet, but close to town if we needed something from the store.
Having the tennis court was a plus too!
We definitely want to go back.

This property was perfect for our family vacation! We enjoyed swimming, boating, tennis, sitting on the deck, and walking the trails. Plenty of space for 12 adults, and house was very clean and well stocked with all of our needs. Thanks for a wonderful week!

Our family of 8 thoroughly enjoyed our stay over the Christmas holiday period. The Point was spacious enough for all of us to have conversations, relax, or play board games. The kitchen is well-stocked and prepared for all kinds of cooking. The beds were comfortable; the master bedroom & bathroom on the first floor were large and delightful.
We walked the trails to the point and watched mallards, kingfishers, Canada geese flying over, 2 bald eagles and a great blue heron that hung around the cove, and more. And we could watch from the house’s deck and even from inside through the large glass-windows.
Remarkably, the weather was warm enough and water calm enough that we could use the kayaks and canoe, an added treat for us.
Overall, our stay at The Point was splendid, quiet and peaceful. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We thoroughly enjoyed the property, house and all of its amenities. There are many paths you can walk to explore the property, or if you need a peaceful getaway for a hour or so. The house had everything that you could want, plenty of rooms, space and common areas. The screened in porch and views from the deck are awesome. The firepit, fishing/crabbing dock and gaming areas are great locations to spend time with your friends and family. I was excited to get there and am looking forward to going back now that our stay is over. I would highly recommend this property.

What can I say. A stunning house, beautifully and completely furnished with anything and everything one could wish for, set on a lovely, wooded shore property with all kinds of outdoor equipment available. Our busy schedules allowed us only 3 nights, and we had miserable weather on Saturday, so we were not able to fully relax and enjoy all. Hoping for more time and better weather next year.
Had a great dinner at Luisa’s in Chestertown and a mixed review lunch at Café Sado (eggrolls and tempura dripping in grease, curry and yakisoba noodle dishes good). A high point for we 5 cat lovers was a visit to the Cat Coloquium in C-town.

This was our third time using this property for family get-togethers, summer and fall. We will be back, I am sure.

There were eight of us, three generations, together for a week. Swimming and boating from the pier, tennis, horseshoes, long walks, smores, grilling, and just plain "chilling." It was lovely for all.

Fantastic property with tons of things to do for kids. Very clean with everything you could ask for. Only things that were missing were shampoo and soap in the showers.

What a fabulous Stay!
We absolutely loved our month long stay at The Point. From our very first contact to check out, Steve and his sister were extremely responsive and helpful. As many previous reviewers have stated, the house and property are even more beautiful than the pictures show, Being able to swim, kayak and canoe right off the private dock was fantastic. The tennis court was an extra bonus and we even set up a pickle ball court. We had friends and family come for various parts of the month and everyone raved about the spacious and comfortably decorated house as well as the relaxing setting. We can't say enough good things about our month at The Point and look forward to returning in the future!

Even Better Than Expected
Honestly the pictures don't do this place enough justice, and it easily exceeded or expectations. Everything's in pretty darn good condition and was very clean and house was stocked with pretty much everything you'd need. There's so much to do on the property outside with plenty of outdoor seating on the wraparound deck right off the kitchen / living room. The dock was amazing and we took advantage of the kayaks. Tennis court is super close and in great shape and has a basketball hoop. The only thing that was less than ideal was the quality of the TV and arrangement of the living room weren't all that conducive to having a large group watching TV and for how big it is with so many beds only having 2 bathrooms accessible outside the master suite. But all in all we had a great stay and for the price it's an incredible value.

Quiet and spacious getaway
The house was clean upon arrival, fully stocked with essentials like bedding and towels for indoors as well as chairs and water sorts equipment for outside.
Spacious and comfortable house and layout for a large family with beautiful view of the water. All in all a very relaxing spot for a family vacation with options to please everyone. Loved all the amenities provided by the host, especially the library and screened-in porch. Our family had a great time utilizing the tennis court, boat slip and walking trails. Can't wait to visit this property again!

Fabulous retreat
It will be difficult to convey how special this property is in a short review. We booked this property for a COVID friendly getaway early 2020 for my family and my sister in-law’s family. 2 sets of parents and 7 boys aged 12 and under. This place was perfect for us. It is almost like having a private nature reserve all to yourself with lots of outdoor areas to explore such as trails and a private cove for swimming and boating. We brought our 25’ ski boat and the dock was well suited to handle it. Plenty of water even at low tide. The house itself was also perfectly suited for us. Great open spaces for family fun and a very well equipped kitchen for cooking and serving large meals. As other reviews state, the pictures in the listing really don’t convey how nice this property is. Steve was an extremely responsive host as well. Hope to come back in the future!

Fantastic family vacation spot
Lots to do on site - kayaking, canoeing, sailing, swimming, tennis. Peaceful and tranquil setting up above the water and amongst the trees. Easy jaunt to Rock Hall should you wish to do a little shopping. Interior has a great layout for family meals, games, or quiet spots to read a book from an extensive historical library collection. It's perfect!

Beautiful home with spectacular views
My family which includes myself, husband, and two kids in their early twenties and our 17 year old daughter stayed for a week. This house and property is fantastic! The house had absolutely everything we needed and between the kayaks and tennis courts, we were entertained during our entire stay. We also all enjoyed the mini library in the master bedroom area. I believe we all read at least one book during our stay. I agree with a few other reviewers that the pictures do not show how nice the house really looks. We loved seeing the herons, osprey and ducks every morning too. I really can't recommend this place enough!

Paradise - Pics dont do it justice
We chose this property to celebrate my wife's birthday with friends and it did not disappoint.
The view from the living room and access to the lake is unparalleled, and the tennis court and basketball hoop provide unexpected fun.
Hope to come back yearly. Communication with the host was seamless.

Graduation weekend so family could all be tougher.
We needed a home to sleep 10 family members within a short drive of Washington College for graduation weekend. This immaculate home is so serene and beautiful and allowed this nature loving family to all be together in this well appointed, comfortable and spacious home and property.

Amazing property with all the amenities!
We absolutely loved our stay here! Agree with all the reviews, pictures don't do it justice. Beautiful property with several outdoor activities to keep the group busy. Plenty of living space for everyone to stay the weekend comfortably. Would definitely retun here for another and hopefully longer stay.

Awesome House, Plenty of Space, Tons of Activities!
The house is great with a huge deck overlooking the water. So many things options for activities: Kayaking, swimming out to the float, sailings even a tennis court and a fire-pit. The property is huge and once you're there there is really no need to leave. There was even a leaf blower in the shed for blowing the leaves off the tennis court. This house really has it all including a dock for tying up a boat for anyone coming by water!

Beautiful house in a peaceful location. The set up of the house was great to enjoy the view. The house and views are even more impressive than the photos show. We all enjoyed being down by the dock. Steve was really responsive. Would recommend.

Beautiful location
Took a mini vacation with our 2 dogs and 12 year old. They loved the property. It is secluded with lots of space for kids and pups to explore safely.
The views from the house are amazing and 2 Eagles were hanging out in the trees for all to see.
House is beautiful with a huge kitchen and lots of space for everyone.
Good restaurants and cute shops in Chestertown just 12 min up the road.
Great stay!

Great Time!
My group of friends had an incredible stay! The views of the water are fantastic and we were able to utilize the canoes and kayaks, even in December! The living room and kitchen areas are very large and great for hanging out and cooking in. Would definitely rent again!

Amazing lake house!
We were there with friends for Thanksgiving, the house is spectacular, the view is breathtaking and we could enjoy the outdoor activities such as kayak, tennis, smores in the fire pit, bike, fishing...we had so much fun. We highly recommend this house.

One of the best places we have ever rented
Beautiful property, everything you could need for a getaway.
The view is magnificent, so is the dock. We canoed, kayaked, and played pickle ball on the tennis courts. Very pet friendly as well. After our long weekend we did not want to leave. Our only regret is that we did not take the place for longer.

Beautiful property, one for the books!
This home was so much more beautiful in person it honestly makes your jaw drop when you drive up to the property. I stayed over the weekend with friends and family, a few children and my dog and I couldn’t tell you how much fun we had at this home it was almost as if it were our own. It was super clean, spacious and functional, the views were breathtaking, and the recreational amenities available to us (kayaks, dock for fishing, bikes) made the stay even more pleasurable! I can’t stop hearing from my family about booking this same place for our gathering next year! If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing place to get away with the family, I highly recommend this property!

Family getaway
This property was the perfect family retreat for humans and dogs! The house had many indoor and outdoor spaces for us to gather for meals, games, and just hanging out. When not in the house we spent most of our time in or on the water. Lots of great family memories were created!

Wonderful getaway
We had a wonderful vacation! Such a perfect home for a large group. Our weather wasn’t the greatest but that didn’t matter. We were still able to get out on the water and enjoy the property. It is so peaceful here! Communication was always great with the owner. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone!

Can’t beat the view from the 2 story floor to ceiling windows!
Great house with so many extras (kayaks, private tennis court, basketball, bikes etc). Loved the convenience of being right on the water! The house is huge and roomy (for 14 people) with plenty of space for relaxing inside and out. It is properly sized according to the number of beds: seating for dining, great room, extra large frig, and beverage cooler. Kitchen is laid out well for serving a large group and well equipped.
Would have liked a 4th bathroom but we made do. And another trash can outdoor would have alleviated the problem of full capacity at our check-in. Trash collection only once/week.
Overall a beautiful home in a quiet, picturesque setting with loads of extras!

Fabulous Get a way
The property was perfect for a large family that wants to relax in comfort in an out of the way location. Our group especially enjoyed the swimming dock and the other water activities. In addition the fire pit, tennis court and basketball court were great. The house is well stocked with hospitality items and kitchen gadgets including a modern ice cream maker which we used. Great house.
