About this apartment rental
A beautiful flat in the heart of historic and fashionable Hampstead Village, a neighbourhood associated with many artists, writers and celebrities. The flat is on the first floor up one flight of communal stairs, above a shop in a landmark period building with two other apartments in the building. The flat has beautiful, original fireplaces and wooden floors in the living areas, while the two bedrooms are carpeted. The master bedroom has a double bed and a closet. The second bedroom has two single beds, and one can be stored under the other if only one is needed. Please note that if both beds are used, they take up most of the space in the room and there is currently no storage. The large living room has a double sofa bed which expands the sleeping options.
The look of flat is modern, uncluttered and stylish. There are two comfortable sofas (one of which is also the sofa-bed) and leather chair in the spacious living room, and TV. The kitchen has a dining table and seating for six. It is fully fitted and well equipped with everything you might need to cook during your stay, and both regular and microwave ovens and a dishwasher. A washing machine/tumble dryer is also available in the flat for your use, as is high speed wi-fi internet. All bed linens and towels are provided.
The flat has wooden floors and large sash windows giving it lots of light and a great view onto the charming buzzy Hampstead High Street with its up-market shops, restaurants, patisseries and pubs. The view through the front windows onto the High Street is excellent for people watching! This is a very safe neighbourhood and the flat is one minute's walk to Hampstead Underground station from where you can be in Camden Town in under 10 minutes, and central London's West End in around 15-20 minutes. There are also bus connections right outside your front door to St Paul's in the City (the financial district). It is less than 10 minutes' walk from beautiful Hampstead Heath, London's largest wild open green space for fantastic walks, bathing in natural ponds (open all year round for the very brave) or an open air swimming pool at Parliament Hill, and breathtaking views across London. Hampstead is a very upmarket and select part of London which manages to be both villagey and charming, but at the same time cosmopolitan and trendy. If you want to step out of the front door into the heart of Hampstead and all it has to offer, then you really cannot better this location and flat.
I live nearby and am always on hand for any problems that I can help with or local advice I can offer. I can also arrange a driver to bring you to and from your airport, and mid-stay cleaning, all payable locally.
I am happy to be flexible about check in and check out times, wherever possible, if there is no other booking that day. Late check-ins -after 9pm during the week, and after 7pm at weekends (Friday - Sunday) - will be subject to a small additional fee. Please let me know at the time of booking if you plan to check in late.
Please note, the flat does not have a parking space, and parking is problematic in Hampstead. We do not recommend you rent a car during your stay here.

This was a perfect home base for my family (two adults and two teens). The apartment was well appointed, well designed, and clean. The kitchen had all the supplies we needed to cook dinners each night. Washing machine was a plus. The neighborhood was bustling and charming but quiet at night with two groceries within walking distance. Location was perfect, tube just minutes away!

We loved staying in Hampstead and this apartment was perfect. Very clean and comfortable for our family of 4. We were pleasantly surprised at how quickly we could be in the heart of London, but also loved coming back to walk in the Heath in the evening and enjoy the quiet of Hampstead. Such a great place! We’ll definitely be back.

This was the perfect home base for myself and two kids. Quiet and comfortable and the neighborhood was bustling and beautiful but quiet at night. Kitchen extremely well stocked and the whole flat clean and comfortable. We adored this flat. Location is also A+. Northern Line less than a minute away. Truly, I could not have imagined a better place.

My family (two adults, two kids) had such a wonderful stay in Hampstead. The flat had everything we needed, the location was absoultely perfect, and our host was kind, generous and easy to communicate with.

Three adults stayed here over the Christmas holidays - mother, adult son and daughter in law. We thoroughly enjoyed being in the Hampstead neighborhood, in a perfectly lovely apartment with everything we could want.
This neighborhood is not near the center of London, and you must figure out transportation if you want to get to the major sites, but we had seen them, and once we were in the neighborhood - that has good pubs, cafes, bakery, crepe stand --- we we content to stay there and be part of it with the locals. Friendly and relaxing scene.
Furnishings and decor of the apartment were lovely. Especially nice kitchen. Manager/owner very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

This Hampstead flat was exactly as described and clearly deserved all of the good reviews previously shared. The location can't be beat and the flat was incredibly clean and the perfect spot for my family of 3 to stay during our 10 day trip. Gabrielle was so attentive and even left us some basics like milk, juice and chocolate cookies (my daughter thought that was amazing!). I can't recommend this rental enough, you won't be disappointed.

My husband and I stayed for 6 nights in October with our 3 daughters (age 11, 9 and 5) and there was space for us all.
The flat is very well equipped with everything you need for cooking (including food basics and some pantry items) and for just enjoying your time in London.
The tube is so close and once you get the hang of it it is easy to get around to everything you want to see and do.
My husband and I slept on the fold out bed in the living room so we could do things after the children were asleep. It is reasonably comfortable.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time staying in Hampstead, there are many lovely pubs and restaurants in the area, as well as the Creperie cart that stays open late!
Oh, and Hampstead is a destination on the weekends so you would be best to book restaurants if you want to go out.
We had a fab time in London and appreciated "our" flat to go home to. 😊

It's true - this is a great (and clean) apartment, in a wonderful area, It was just as described and pictured on the website. Gabrielle was easily accessible (although we did not get to meet).
I echo all the previous reviews on the highlights of this flat.
A new mention might be that there are plenty of electrical plugs - very helpful.

To begin with, Gabrielle is a very attentive and accessable host. She made it so easy for us to settle into the flat. The flat itself is clean, up-to-date and well stocked with things like dishes, glasses, pots, pans, and even a new, full carton milk! We felt at home in no time. The bathroom is really modern and clean, with plenty of hot water to go around.
The location of the flat could not be better. A minute from the Hampstead tube station, and right in the centre of the high street, with access to shops, pubs (go to the William IV and the Old, White Bear!) and a small Sainsbury's just a few doors down.
Another little bonus: we stayed there at a time when the UK was experiencing record high temperatures, like REALLY hot, and the flat never once felt unbearable.
I can honestly say this is a five-star location. I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you, Gabrielle, for a wonderful home from home!

We absolutely loved this flat--inside and out. Great neighborhood w/cafe, creperie, bookstore, convenience and other shops. Quiet at night. Close to Hampstead Heath, tube stop. Helpful, accommodating host who seems like has thought of everything. Would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay in Hampstead. It was a beautiful, tranquil retreat after battling hordes of tourists in Westminster and central London. Tons of restaurants, shops and the tube right nearby for easy access. The apartment itself was quiet with very nice amenities. The second bedroom was a little tight for two grown teens but the living room more than made up for it. And besides, teens can take a little bit of bunked living! Highly recommend Gabrielle and her apt.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hampstead. Apartment was very clean and fully equipped. Would stay there again. Wonderful host.

Gabrielle was a wonderful host, with three kids under 12, flying in from Canada, she allowed us to drop off our bags as soon as we arrived (early morning) and we were able to check in as soon as the flat was cleaned (40mins later). The flat was very clean, in a beautiful neighbourhood, easy access to bus and underground. Groceries and bakeries basically next door. All the amenities required. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely flat in a charming neighborhood. The location, although quite north of the main tourist attractions, is fantastic. Use of public transportation was convenient and easy. The host gave us good restaurant recommendations nearby for breakfast. A walk through the neighborhood to the Heath was picturesque and provided access to other transport lines. Our only complaint was that the mattresses are a little hard, but as we were pretty tired from walking and jet lag, it wasn’t a big deal. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you, Gabrielle!

We LOVED our stay at this beautiful, spacious, clean flat in Hampstead!! We had the warmest welcome from Gabrielle and her communication before and during our visit was exceptional! The large windows in every room let in sunshine and fresh air each day and we had all the amenities we needed for a fun stay. Hampstead village is charming with bakeries, groceries, restaurants, and quaint streets all around us. Having the tube just steps away was a huge bonus and when the tube was down for repairs for the weekend, riding the double decker red bus right outside the flat was easy and fun and got us to the next available tube station. This is the property for you if you want to have the best time in London with the best host!

My family of 4 stayed in this flat. The flat itself was clean and had the necessities. The Nespresso coffee maker was nice to have. The host was responsive and had some milk, orange juice, and shortbread cookies for us, which was a nice touch. The kids slept in one bedroom, which has 2 beds. We did not use the sleeper sofa. The flat was quiet, even though it is on a main street. Importantly, the location is fantastic: literally a 1-2 minute walk to the Tube station, which gets you into the heart of London in 15 minutes. And Hampstead itself is quite charming, with many excellent restaurants, bakeries, and shops within a few minutes walk. There is a cool bookstore across the street. We enjoyed the King William IV pub, also across the street; there are several pubs within a few minutes walk. Antica Pizza was excellent. The flat offers very quick access to London while also being in a beautiful village, outside the bustle of the tourist areas. I would definitely return to this flat again.

This apartment is in an amazing location on Hampstead High Street. Everything was spotless and the flat was very spacious. Thank you Gabrielle for a wonderful start to our holiday. The only problem is that every place we stay at from now on will feel inferior!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful apartment in quaint Hampstead Village. Gabrielle was a gracious host and the apartment was impeccably clean. The location is perfect, with cute shops and restaurants within walking distance, and the Hampstead underground station right up the street. I recommend walking through Hampstead Heath and grabbing a bite to eat at the Freemasons Arms during your stay. We’ll miss this place!

Loved so much about this pretty, spacious, super clean flat and the nice extras of new containers of orange juice, milk, tea and cookies there for us when we arrived exhausted from a very long, uncomfortable international flight. Plus, Gabrielle gave us extra time to check out so we could squeeze in a few more hours of beautiful Hampstead's sites and shops before we headed back to the US. The only thing we wish we'd had was a strong person to assist us with our heavy suitcases going up and back down the stairs. We would have gladly paid extra for this peace of mind, and knowing it would be taken care of before arriving too. But Gabrielle, as petite as she is strong, helped get all three suitcases up those stairs! The beds were crisp and clean and nice and roomy, but our senior backs found the mattresses difficult to sleep on. Younger people and those less spoiled by expensive mattresses at home would probably find them just right (like the story of The Three Bears! :) The double was very firm, the two twins bouncy and soft and the pull out bed like most pull out beds. We would definitely come back if most of the mattresses were upgraded to hotel quality. Wish too we'd had a list of restaurants, shops and sites near our flat that Gabrielle herself recommended and easy to understand info on where the buses go that pick up right out front and how to get the same buses back from all the central London tourist sites. The tube was not for me!

Location was perfect! Hampstead is a delight to visit and the Tube station is steps away to expand your explorations to other parts of London. Highly recommend

Gabrielle's place is fantastic! The location is great as it's close enough to the busy touristy part of London without being there. Everything you need at your doorstep, transport, lovely cafes and restaurants, shops and the beautiful Hampstead Heath. We would definitely stay again. Gabrielle was a great host and we had a comfortable stay. Thank you.

This was a perfect place for our stay in London. The flat is well equipped and comfortably furnished, and communication with Gabrielle was excellent.
The flat is in a great location on the high street, with everything you could want within minutes walk away. Despite being on a busy road during the day, evenings are quiet and the bedrooms are at the rear of the flat so sleep was not an issue.
Hampstead is a wonderful area with a village feel despite its close proximity to all the attractions of London.
I would stay here again, and in this flat, without hesitation.

Beautiful flat in vibrant neighborhood. Clean and spacious with a view of the buzzing street below. Easy to get to with the Underground station right there. Great restaurants all around. 28 Church Street, Jin Kichi, La Cage Imaginaire to name a few. Do not miss out on the La Creperie de Hampstead!

Had a pleasant stay and really enjoyed the area. Lots of nice coffee shops and short walk to underground. Property would benefit from a folder of information about the area such as restaurant recommendations, local supermarkets and instructions for using appliances like washing machine etc. Transport information, tube map etc. would also be helpful especially for first time visitors to London.
Gabrielle did respond quickly to questions.

The accommodations are bright, modern and clean. The location is ideal, steps from shops, restaurants, pubs & transit. Gabrielle was very helpful and flexible.

The Hampstead area is a great location to stay. A little off the buzz and therefore somewhat quiet but stylish and friendly. Gabrielle was lovely: we could ask her anything and she has great tips! We felt a little bit like Londonners during our stay. We travellerd with children and she was very ghoughtfull.
