Sound like what you are looking for? Let’s take a look inside.
As you pull up you will immediately notice that Point Comfort has a large deck that provides great entertainment space and a peaceful place to watch the sunset. As you enter the cottage into an enclosed porch area, you will find comfortable seating for everyone and an area that is perfect for reading, card games, and entertaining.
Around the corner in the kitchen, you can find all the major appliances, utensils, and pots and pans for cooking homemade meals. For larger groups, the cottage comes with two dining room tables available just outside the kitchen and inside the enclosed porch.
As you move upstairs, you will find 4 bedrooms, each with new queen mattresses so that you can have that restful sleep you’re looking for on your vacation. The main bathroom is upstairs and has a classic cottage feel with a vintage claw tub.
Downstairs in the basement, you will find a clothes washer and dryer (in case you need to do a quick load of laundry), an additional toilet room and a newly-installed cedar enclosed shower.
Point Comfort has a covered parking garage with space for 2 vehicles and is located next to the cottage for your convenience. Additional parking spots are also available upon request in nearby lots.
The cottage does come with a television and internet for your convenience.
Point Comfort is a staple cottage in the Highland Park community. It has been family-owned for over 50 years and has been a place that generations of children and grand-children have grown up visiting every summer. It is a treasure to the family, but we recognize it is not the perfect spot for everyone. The cottage is a cottage that has been well-maintained and updated, with ceiling and window fans and lake breezes, but no air-conditioning. For guests with mobility concerns, there is a flight of stairs to access all bedrooms and both bathrooms. Lastly, Highland Park is a family community with strict noise standards at night. As a result, we have a strict “no parties” house rule.
We look forward to sharing our cottage with your family and friends and hearing about the memories you make at Point Comfort.

This location is just a short walk from the beach and you can hear the waves! The property was clean. There is adequate parking. They have a nice gas grill. The only downsides are the lack of air conditioning (it was hot and muggy the week we were there...everything felt sticky...even with all the windows open). Also, due to a one-lane neighborhood road, all cars honk when entering. The honking was incessant. From 6:30am-11:00pm and later, you will hear honking cars. It kind of ruins the chill vibe. As much as we liked the location, I don't think we will be back to this neighborhood due to the car horns.

The historical charm of the house is spectacular. Sitting on the porch with the lake breeze was like time travel. The unpretentious decor and comfortable clean beds great. But the shower in the basement? A potential law suit. It needs to be enclosed and it's pretty inconvenient and potentially dangerous, especially if you're elderly. Also, TBH even with fans, no air conditioning was miserable some days. I would stay in earlier summer next time because that was really tough.

Good Memories!
I love the location of this house, and with it being on a hill, it doesn't feel like you are in the midwest. The view of the lake was our favorite part, and the short walk to the beach couldn't be beat. Nice kitchen with everything that we needed, cozy livingroom, and a deck to hang out on. We would come back here again, beautiful location!

Wonderful home in a great location
Our friends had a great time staying at this house - the location is perfect because there are steps that lead right down to the beach area. We thoroughly enjoyed the outside deck and screened in room, which provide views of the lake. The house was very clean upon check-in, and it came very well stocked with items we needed throughout our stay. Communication with the owner was great. Would definitely rent this place again! Thank you!

Point Comfort lives up to its name!
This place was truly magical! Just steps away from one of the best beaches in Michigan, we felt transported away to a time when everything moved a bit slower. A wonderful breeze off the lake kept it cool and comfortable on the deck and in the house. Everything was clean and comfortable. The house was well appointed and had everything we needed. We were within reach of shops and restaurants, but also far enough away to have the peace and quiet we were looking for. We would definitely rent again!!!!

Great Experience
My family and I had a wonderful time at the cottage. We stayed mainly during the week and it was peaceful. If you have toddlers be ready to watch them. There were a lot of knickknacks around that mine kept grabbing. We had to move a lot out of the way. The garage was small and we barely got our two vehicles in there but we managed. Overall, it was great house and had a great time.

Family trip
My husband is from Grand Haven and we come to town at least once a year! This house was very charming and comfortable. LOVED the view too. We had a group of 8 and we all slept comfortable. The kitchen was very well supplied and the deck was our favorite spot! Would definitely stay here again!!

Much Needed Getaway
The house was great felt very homey we were very comfortable. Amazing location a couple minute walk to the beach. The limited parking can be tricky but nothing that can't be figured out. I would recommend this home to anyone looking to stay in Grand Haven. Definitely going to stay again.

Point Comfort
After many years of camping at Grand Haven State Park, we tried renting Point Comfort cottage. It is lovely, has a nice view, and close enough to town to walk to dinner. The shower is unusual, but warm and roomy. Without the extra work of camping we had time to explore areas of Grand Haven we hadn't before, like Ferrysburg, the bike trail that runs from Grand Haven to Holland, Kirk and Rosey Mound parks. We really had a great stay in this quiet neighborhood!

Charming House with Great Location
The cottage was perfect for our trip thus year- plenty of space to lounge around, great view and access to the water, and all the amenities we needed. (The shower is unusual, but honestly it kept the house a lot cleaner than if it had been in the bathroom, and it works fine.) The owner was very helpful and attentive prior to checkin. We would gladly stay again!

Family fun
We had a great time in Grand Haven. We have visited Grand Haven for several years with family. “Comfort Point” worked well for our family of eight. It was very clean and had a great view of the water from the deck. I would definitely go back.
