Excellent location. Close to Mendocino, the ocean and Big River

Kate was a wonderful hostess. The room was small but cozy. The grounds are "a la natural." Overall, a delightful experience. Will likely return soon (it was our anniversary!)
A microwave would be a small improvement.

The vibe was great. EV charging was a plus.
Liked it all.

Everything about this place is special. We arrived on a Saturday which meant happy hour! Our host Scott set up a beautiful spot outside with comfy seats, fire pits, and a wonderful assortment of drinks. It was great to chat with the other guests and Scott.

the space and details so cute and romantic for a get away
no map when pulling in late night had a tiny hiccup navigating the property. also the couches in the cabins not comfortable. bit of a musty smell to the cabin but the charm of it all made these things small issues

bed was too soft.

Scott and Madeline are wonderful hosts. Scott is a wealth of info with local restaurants. The happy hour is
a very safe and fun way to speak with other guests. We look forward to our next visit!
We only stayed 2 nights and wish we could stay longer!

Casual Check-in, Calm, owners, quiet, chickens, goats, hot tub, nature, outdoors, fire pits, friends, conversations, happy hour, old timey music, painting, drawing, rustic feels, Mendocino, coastal seclusion.
path to hot tub could use some better stepping stones when muddy.

Very cozy cabin with unique decor and excellent hospitality. Fun happy hour. Easy to get dogs to the beach. We'd definitely come back.

Hosts were super hospitable and friendly. Room decor was fun , and very comfortable. Loved having the deck and large field in front for our dog to play in. Hot tub was very nice and the weekend happy hour was fun. Staff was great and very helpful

Fantastic spot just south of Mendocino. Our room was cozy, and we enjoyed all the personal touches that made us feel truly welcome (treats, pet the goats, happy hrs). Great shower & toiletries. Really happy to have ways to help conserve water.
I regret we had our weekend fully booked with a friend's wedding, so we didn't get to spend enough time actually at the property. We missed lots of great things like happy hour, the hot tub, lawn games, and bbqing.

great location, loved the animals.

After a 5 hour drive, check-in was quick & easy. Our cabin was like a step back in time & the attention to detail was amazing.
Not the lodge's fault but we weren't super stoked with the folks who were next door to us on our last night. They were quite loud & obnoxious well into the night.

Very nice, cozy cabin at a great location, excellent for relaxing and short trips to beaches, redwood forests, and wineries. I enjoyed the happy hour with drinks at the camp fire, chatting with the owner, neighbors, and fellow travelers.
Normally I drink tap water, but here I had to go and buy packaged water for drinking and cooking. The cabins use water from a well and, while the notes at the cabin claim it’s drinkable, at the time of my visit it was muddy brown and it felt borderline for showering and washing dishes, not to speak about drinking. It would have been nice if some packed water was provided at the room, because having to go and find some after you check in and find out you need some is a hassle.
I picked these cabins because they have been advertised as pet friendly. For the most part they are, but, but the notes they send/give to those traveling with a dog (asking to consider boarding the dog instead, to thoroughly brush the dog before the trip to minimize the amount of dog hair left in the room, telling you you absolutely must use protective covers on furniture, … ) did not make me feel very welcome with my dog. I understand they resorted to that after very bad experiences with some dog owners and for the most part the requests are not unreasonable. But the tone of those messages made me feel nervous about my dog leaving _any_ trace whatsoever. I was very glad it wasn’t muddy outside when I was there! My dog does not go on bed, but I still needed to use the special bed cover they provided. The light cream color comforter is not dog friendly at all and gets smudge marks even if the dog just walks around and brushes it’s nose against the side of the bed.

It was a duplex and I didn't have a neighbor so very quiet. Cute, big room.
Wish there had been access to the beach within walking distance.

What a gem! The cabins are adorable (we stayed in Play), location beautiful and the hosts were amazing! So gracious and welcoming. We absolutely loved our stay and if we come back to the area we will absolutely stay again.

Lovely location, fabulous staff. Quirky little cabins and a terrific happy hour. We really enjoyed our stay.
Some of the larger cabins have more enhanced cooking capabilities, and that may have been nice, but certainly wasn't a deal breaker.

fun atmosphere, happy hour, the goats, the free EV car charging, awesome hosts
hot water in the room for tea

The location is exceptional! It is less than 10 minutes to downtown Mendocino. Inside our cabin, there was a binder FILLED with things to do, things to eat, places to see, etc. The cabin does run on well water, so they have measures in place to ensure no water goes to waste. There is a bucket in the shower to catch the cold water until it is warmed, and you place it outside and they use it to water the plants. I think that is incredible in the drought season. Also, incredibly pet friendly! I highly recommend staying here, and the price isn't too high. It is well worth more than I paid.

We had a great time with the Andiron's. We love the landscape, the decoration of our cabin, the happy hour during the weekend and the hot tub! Mr and Mrs Andiron were putting so much effort in making this place so cute and thoughtful. We can't wait to come back and visit again!
