Disappointing

Location.

The rooms and corridors all painted depressing charcoal colour. Even the bathroom gloomy. Grim “antique” shower fitments. Carpet felt gritty under bare feet. Handbasin plug jammed. Dining room now in basement - no sense of being, through windows, in smart Cheltenham.

It is with regret he informed me he would not stop here again

My father liked the cleanliness off the room and excellent location and friendly staff

The hotel has only one dark and depressing colour throughout restaurant ok no bar

Quirky hotel with good FOH staff, great breakfast facilities but poorly thought out room and bathroom storage / shel

Should have stayed at the Queens

The location is great. Nice breakfast.

Urine left in toilet when we checked in, splatter in bathroom wall by the sink, paint damage and peeling off bedroom wall, no lift, poo on loo brush. £440 for two nights felt excessive for this quality.

Oppressive but cheap

Bed was comfortable Bathroom was clean

Bedroom was dirty. Dust on all the ledges of the wall panelling. Carpet looked grubby. Suspicious looking dribble marks on the paintwork Dark blue paint combined with the room size made it feel gloomy and oppressive.

If the staff on reception were bothered they might have asked me on checkout. They could not be bothere

Location, bedding and bed very comfortable.

We stayed in room 9. Walls dirty and paint chipped. Bathroom door does not shut, shower door fitted poorly and dirty. Tap on sink spins round cracked floor tile.

Loved the location and breakfast room

I thought the reception staff were a bit tetchy and a smile would be nice. The breakfast options when booking are a farce and cause unnecessary confusion.

Cool choice for a brief stay in Cheltenham

The bed was very comfortable and we loved the amenities! Amazing location, many restaurants, shops and wonderful parks very near.

Our room was quite small, not much space to move around.

Nice room, staff could have communicated better

Very nice room and very clean

Poor communication from staff which was a shame. When we arrived we checked In but they did not give us any information about breakfast, where and what time! Also did not clearly tell her us where our room was, told us it was downstairs but not clear where this was. The stairs were in an unusual place, almost hidden so had to ask someone else where they were. When arriving for breakfast, no members of staff around, when staff appeared, no communication to tell us where to sit and what was included.

Not enough shelf’s in the bathroom for things. Bed was too big for the room. Very little space to move around.

Satisfactory

Travelled with my elderly father and there was no lift , he struggled to 2nd floor. Rooms very small but neat. Lack of lift or restaurant for dinner should be clear. The travern was near however the two Italian restaurant should be advertised also

Loved my stay and loved coming across the accidental Minster!

Didn't have the breakfast, but loved the neighbourhood and loved Cheltenham.

We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely come back again

We absolutely loved the decor and the cleanliness was of a high standard. The bed sheets were crisp and very white The breakfast was simple with a nice choice of options. The location was perfect

We were disappointed there was no lift for luggage. I thought breakfast was lovely however the option of purchasing a cooked breakfast was expensive. Also a larger bar area would have been nice
