Had a wonderful stay! The location was perfect, the place was spotless and had everything we needed for a long weekend. Our group was 6 adults and 2 children—everyone had a bed! We would definitely stay here again!

Prime location - nothing like it! On the lake, watched fireworks from the deck, walking distance to dining, farmers market and entertainment. On bike path and close to mountain biking trails. Sitting on the porch and watching the world go by was also a treat. Definitely would stay here again.

The property was clean, spacious and our family loved the location. We were able to walk around the water, into town and to restaurants. A glass of wine on the patio was just the way to wind down after a full day of enjoying all that the lakeshore has to offer.

We have been going to Marquette since the late 70"s as a myself, at first and then my entire family. We all feel so lucky to have found this property available for the dates we needed. Could not be in a better location over-looking the Lower Harbor and within walking distance of just about everything that you need. The property was amazing. 2 decks, sauna, huge shower downstairs, mud room for all our toys, everyone had their own bedroom, Murphy Bed in the living area and all the comforts of home. All we did was buy groceries. Even had a space for a couple of motorcycles and a car between the buildings. Thanks for such a great stay. We will be back.

We had so much for in and around Marquette! The house was great - very large, very clean, great spot in town, Laura was fast to communicate and everything was even better than the listing! Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful time here. It’s a cool rental property with its history and features, and the location was fantastic. I could see it being a little tough with small children, but it worked great for us and our whole family loved it.

I recently brought my family and a couple friends to Marquette for the first time this summer (2023). Being an alumni, it could not have gone better introducing my children to the great home of NMU. From Pictured Rocks to Black Rocks, the Superior Dome to the new campus, our visit was more than expected. What topped our trip off was the hospitality and exceptional accommodations that the loft provided. From communication to the amenities, this residence was perfect! The kids loved the balcony views and the ping pong table, my wife and I enjoyed the sauna and washer and dryer and the welcome gift and note was a subtle touch that will bring me back again for our next trip to Marquette. Thank you for a great trip!!

We had a great stay at the Harbor Loft! The location was perfect for exploring Marquette. We could walk to the breweries, restaurants, shops, and parks. It was a short drive to do some hikes and climbing as well. The property was clean and well equipped for cooking and everything else! There wasn’t anything else we could have asked for! Check in and out was very easy. Would recommend for a group of adults!

Stayed at the property and it exceeded expectations. Everything was super easy and convenient. Location was right on Lake Superior, easy walk to bars and restaurants, easy North and South trail access and even had a spot to hang bikes in the basement. We’ll stay there again for sure.

We absolutely loved our stay at this unique property! Nicely blended contemporary and historic interior design. We really enjoyed our meals and the sunrise on the upper balcony overlooking the old ore dock and harbor. The ping pong table in the lowest level was a nice surprise and we got a few friendly games in after a day of riding trails and hiking. Definitely a top choice for accommodations in Marquette in the future.

The layout of the house is a bit confusing in the listing - ended up being better actually! The basement looks like it's still maybe getting fixed up but the ping pong table, sauna, full kitchen, and bath were an unexpected surprise. We had the perfect long weekend!

Very cool place
We had the entire place. It is very, very cool inside and we made great use of the top and bottom porches most nights we were in. We have family that live just down the street so we didn't need to drive. Very clean. Very comfortable. I hope we are able to return and stay here again.

Excellent House walk to town, lake and bike trail
Really great experience. We were able to both enjoy the excellent restaurants in town as well as cook some healthy meals in the house with ingredients from the local Co-Op market. We biked every day, took long walks, swam and did some kayaking. What a great week.

Great meeting place for our whole family!
We came up to Marquette for a visit with my dad. We have grown children (college age or beyond) with boyfriends/girlfriends and we have outgrown his house (8 adults). We saw this property open for the timeframe we were visiting and decided to try it out rather than book a hotel. The Harbor Loft was a GREAT place for all of us (coming from different places in WI) to meet up and stay. We absolutely loved this beautiful, historic house! My dad ended up driving to his house each night instead of staying with us and my oldest son ended up with his car needing to be fixed the day before the trip; therefore, we had 6 people staying overnight instead of 8. We had plenty of room for the 6 adults (3 couples) and would have been fine if 8 would have stayed (due to the couches and murphy bed that were also included). While here, we absolutely enjoyed time on the patio and upper deck the most - - looking out to Lake Superior and watching all the walkers and bikers go by. It was incredibly peaceful and relaxing! We also enjoyed the sauna and ping pong table in the bottom level. Such a beautiful, spacious place that was stocked with everything we might have needed. During our visit, we walked to restaurants, a coffee shop, an ice cream store, various gift shops and boutiques, breweries, the beach, a gas station, etc. It was incredible to have all of these things within walking distance! We all agree that we would love to come back in the future and would love to stay longer than we did for this trip. Our family agrees that this was a *5 Star* trip - - house, location, and access to everything!

Harbor House is a gem
Marquette is a special place, especially if you like biking, hiking, craft beer and stunning views of Lake Superior, and this property puts you in the heart of things. Some really good restaurants in walking distance too - Steinhaus being our fave. Like many old buildings, it has a funky layout but it gives everyone their own personal space and it has awesome group hangout spaces - porch, deck and living room all with lake views. We have rented a lot of homes through VRBO and this had the best equipped kitchen, which is another bonus. Critiques? None really. Maybe some brighter lamps in the bedrooms. Had to think of something!
