The breakfast was very good, however an alternative to the sourdough bread would have been nice.
Also a little earlier start time for breakfast would be good.
Everything about the accomodation and facilities were excellent, my only gripe would be that the electric shower only reached lukewarm.

Food was excellent as was the beer from the tap room! Staff were extremely friendly and efficient. Rooms were excellent.
Difficulty with parking at 9 pm

The quirkiness of the old property.
No disappointments.

Really lovely old pub with rooms. In small village location. The rooms are super clean and very comfortable bed with everything you need. Great en-suite with good separate shower cubicle, lovely toiletries and fluffy white towels. We’ll stocked with tea, coffee etc and small fridge with milk and water. Evening meal in the pub was very good as was breakfast. Would definitely stay here again if in the area and highly recommend.

Superb breakfast; comfy room and great evening meal with good ambience.

The bedroom was airy, with good facilities and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was made to order and excellent. The food at the pub is of a high standard and extremely good value. There are also very good wines, reasonably priced, to accompany the food. The local beers served from the Tap room are excellent and especially good value. The beer garden is simply superb, being large, extremely well kept, and with an excellent Pizza option from a wood fired Pizza oven. It's hard to imagine staying somewhere better.

Excellent cooked breakfast. Lovely dining room. Loved the tap room.
Nothing springs to mind.

Wonderful pub with wonderful food and beer (hubby was happy). Quality local ingredients used for restaurant menu and breakfast! The room was very clean, and of high quality, but a little small. The area is stunning and I would recommend this property.
BUT, I felt the breakfast menu was a bit limited and you had to have either cooked OR yogurt OR cereal. And whatever you do...don't ask for a second glass of cranberry juice....I thought the host was going to expire at my table when I asked! Seriously though, she so wanted to say no, but managed to bite her tongue and bring me one....but not very gracefully. I wouldn't mind, but the rooms were £120/night so not budget, and I felt pretty aggrieved that I was made to feel 'greedy' for asking for a second glass (which was absolutely tiny anyway).

The breakfast was good. The village was good. Pretty location.
We arrived to a grumpy reception from the landlady. It seemed when she was asked for say ketchup it was all a bit to much trouble. Although she was not rude just not hospitable as we would have liked. So much so having being asked if we would like to have dinner there we opted to go to the pub in the village.
The room was small. We stayed 3 nights during that time the bed was not made nor the towels changed.

Out of the way location. You would only visit Laxfield to stay at this pub. It is an experience.

An absolute gem of an inn. Old world charm with comfortable accommodation, great food and wonderful service.
Its just a personal thing. The room was clean and comfortable but rather bare and clinical. Would be improved by a bit of colour and a stand for suitcases and an extra bin.

Very fr7iendly staff. Rather quirky pub/hotel. Very friendly guests and regular pub customers too

The Kings Head Low House has history and character in spades. The current building dates back to the reign of Henery VII. The main part of the pub has settles dating back 150 year. A big open fire in the centre made it warm and inviting.
The inn has a good well picked wine list. But the choice of locally craft brewed ales served from their tap room just had to be done.
The food cooked by Gareth was excellent. Home cooked local product is a recipe for success. But his slow braised beef cheek with red wine jus is to die for!
Our room was comfortable, clean and well maintained. As hotel rooms go the sleeping area was generous. This inn is unique.
Marie and Gareth were great hosts.

The LH is a Suffolk institution and Mary and Gareth are doing a great job looking after on behalf of the community. Nothing better than taking breakfast or other meals in the bar with its old wooden fittings and signs. The comfortable annexe is next door.
Leaving!
Although we barely used ours, our son moaned slightly that his room was TV-less..

Lovely village pub in a quiet location. Room was lovely a spacious and great to have a mini fridge to store some milk for our coffee and some bottles of water. Staff were really friendly and welcoming.
Personally I didn't like dogs in the dining room, but for some that may be a bonus.
