very comfortable and spacious, Morag the scottie loved the under floor heating.

The outlook from the property was lovely. It was tidy and spacious. Out of the few cottages here on the farm, this had the better parking space. It was quite tight space in track to get there.
Although cleaned, there were lots of cobwebs in each room, up towards the ceilings. The bathroom was old and just about in working order, tired but useable.

Second time staying at the Bull Pen. We stayed for a few weeks this time between house moves, and found the property to be well equipped and comfortable for a longer stay with our toddler and dog - they just love the farm life. Thanks again Rachel and Richard for your hospitality! We may be back again sometime :)
I couldn't find a hose pipe to wash off muddy paws, but I found one at the local Shell Garage. The property has cleaning products but no laundry liquid, so BYO liquid if you need to do laundry, there's plenty of pegs and a washing line though.

Lovely peaceful location surrounded by fields of sheep and ponies.
Very comfortable furniture and lovely bright sunny fully equipped kitchen.
Loved the underfloor heating, so warm and comfortable.
We liked everything.

Great location for visiting the brecons. Nice spacious cottage with private garden. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend!

The location was very quiet with lovely scenery. The underfloor heating was cosy.
Some dated prints and photographs let the place done a bit. Instructions for toilet, bath and bins were hand written on paper and very faded making them difficult to read. The fridge door needed mending

The quality and presentation of the house was superb, the underfloor heating was fantastic, and the surrounding scenery was breathtaking, just in the process of booking another stay at the bull pen, can't wait!

Great house, perfect for family of four. Super clean, with everything you need and good WiFi. The location is on a farm, but what you can't see from the photos is that you have total privacy and its also very quiet, so a good sleep is guaranteed! The garden is fine to sit out and for the kids to have a run around in. Host Rachel was very welcoming and gave us hints and tips of where to go. Would def stay again!

clean, cosy, comfortable and quiet in lovely countryside location - especially enjoyed the log burning stove and the games room with pool table.
5.0 / 5.0
The living room was lovely, a wood burner and comfy sofas.
There is a lovely games room with a mini pool table and a handful of games too.
The matter bedroom is very spacious.
The underfloor heating is lovely too, the whole home was warm when we arrived and was a great temperature during our whole start without having to adjust anything.
When talking a strole around the farm we were warmly greeted by both staff and family.
It's hard to find something we didn't like.
However the sun at the time of year (December) was low and so when sitting at the spacious kitchen table was in our eyes. The kitchen Windows are large (which is great for lighting) and could do with some blinds on the upper parts.

The house is gorgeous, lovely and light and airy with room to move. It was very clean and beds were comfy. My son hurt his knee while we were there and we were housebound so the outside space was invaluable and the large kitchen great for family meals. The rural location was an added treat, beautiful countryside.

The bull pen was a lovely cottage. Very spacious and with beautiful surroundings. The kitchen was fully equipped and the beds clean and comfortable. Abergavenny town centre was about 8 minutes drive. Overall our stay was pleasant and communication with the host excellent.

We wanted a quiet location, and it was, while being close to Abergavenny. Secure garden for the dog a key feature. Kitchen well supplied, and we made good use of barbecue.
Beautiful place and we enjoyed our stay.
Only one point - mattress could have been better.

Nothing every think about the cottage is great
5.0 / 5.0
It was a lovely quiet location with a secure garden for the dog. The photos don’t do it justice. My husband had to work from home one day. The free wifi with good internet connection meant he was able to get his work done and the games room worked as a good office.
Just a small point. The accommodation is lovely and bright but with so many large windows, it did get a bit hot when the sun was beating down. A fan would be useful.
