Value for money

Close to the wedding venue we were attending,staff very welcoming and friendly, breakfast excellent and evening meal also.Room clean.

We were in twin room not a lot of space but bathroom enough room,noise from room above with squeaky floorboards other rooms very small bathrooms ,sink hanging off wall also creaky floorboards

Very poor not worth the money

Breakfast and pub food was good

The pub and food was very good but unfortunately the room was awful. It was tiny, the springs had gone in the mattress, there was no WiFi in the room, empty milk cartons hadn't been replaced. The decor needs updating, the shower was poor, it's a good job I was only there for 1 night

Comfortable clean accommodation for a short stay

The breakfast was generous and delicious with exceptional poached eggs. The room was basic, clean and comfortable. A good selection of options on the TV and the wi-fi was excellent.

It seemed quite expensive compared to similar offerings. The Wheatsheaf is located on a fairly busy road that I found noisy from quite early in the morning.

Comfortable stay at a Traditional Pub - good breakfast included in the price

The location was good - easy to get to and plenty of free parking. The room came with breakfast - help yourself to cereal, juices and fruit and a cooked breakfast - various choices cooked to order. The room was comfortable and the Inn itself was a traditional style Pub which is always nice.

There was not really anything that we didn't like. The bathroom was not spacious but it was more than adequate.

Great place to stay near Brighton; will definitely use it again as our base.

Friendly staff, comfortable beds, great sized and fluffy towels, amazing breakfast

Toilet did not flush easily- cistern slow to fill and often took numerous attempts. I find all hotels never leave enough milk to go with the tea/coffee tray.

Great value for money.

There is a problem with parents from the school next door using the car park as though it belongs to the school itself. They were very rude and arrogant . We feel sorry for the owners of the inn and all the genuine guests as it would seem their complaints are ignored

Very good value for B&B. Comfortable room. Good breakfast.

Thin curtains in room, so room was in daylight very early on a July morning. Door locks are an odd design - read the instructions on display in the room.

Would recommend staff and food but not the bedroom and en-suite.

Meal And breakfasts and service excellent . Carpets on stairs and in room very good. Room clean and comfortable bed . Lots of towels.

Room was tired and needed painting. Very cramped one side of bed next to desk. Restricted height for 6’ man . Especially in bathroom which was cramped and very tired.

Friendly and efficient staff, and a comfortable room with good facilities. Great value.

Popular inn but room quiet and comfortable. Staff friendly and efficient. Always plenty of hot water. Breakfasts generous and good quality.

Slightly unconventional in that rooms are not serviced by default but require a "service my room" notice to be hung on the door handle. Side plates at breakfast would be useful.

A real gem!

The Wheatsheaf provided a very comfortable stay. The room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Nice one Wheatsheaf - keep up the good work!

Lovely place , made to feel very welcome , as if you have been there many times

It was a very nice breakfast asked what we would like, we had a lovely evening meal also, staff where very helpful in every way. Will be staying there again , 5 ✨ from us
