The hospitality shown was second to none. The Govenor Edd, his wife Jacqui and Sarah the chef were just perfect. Just how I had imagined an old pub in the Yorkshire Dale's.
There is nothing at all to dislike about The George Inn

Beautiful historical Inn set in a fabulous rural and peaceful location. The owner and staff were so friendly and welcoming. I really felt at home and relaxed. Wish I had booked a longer stay
Nothing whatsoever.

Been a few times for a drink but never stayed before, really enjoyed my stay, the owner was very good, so good in fact I spent more on drinks than I intended to

Fabulous ancient, storied pub with comfortable rooms, a friendly welcome, pub food done properly (those pies!) and a best-in-class breakfast. The location is pure Dales heaven too.

Beautiful setting, very friendly staff (and other guests), great food and beer. An absolute classic Yorkshire country inn.
It seems a bit mean to mention it, but the only negative was that the doorway and roofbeams of my room were low enought for me to bump my head a couple of times. But that goes with the territory of a historic place like this, and I would be more than happy to stay in the same room again!

Wonderful location, cosy bar, sociable atmosphere and friendly attentive staff. Excellent pub food.
Room was quite small and there was nowhere to sit except on the bed.

Very remote location.
My name is john. The owner called me brian the full time i stayed there. Bar closed at 2100 nothing else to do but go to bed. The hosts like talking about them selves. Very basic food. Had to eat early as the owner " liked the cook to finish early". Never mind about your customers eh?.

We were walking the Dales Way and The George provided an excellently located stop for us. Ed looked after us during our stay, he asked and remembered our names and the names of all other guests which was impressive. The food was superb - especially the award winning pies! A great place to stop. Don't forget to visit the Church when you come to Hubberholme.

Excellent location for walking the area.
Excellent food and beer, friendly staff.
My only gripe was that it was Pg tips and very small cups in the room, only 2 tea bags. In Yorkshire, would have expected Yorkshire Tea, large cups and a few more tea bags for a place most frequently used by thirsty walkers!

Friendly welcome. Totally organised and efficient set up. Larger than expected room. Monday night was pie night, we weren’t sure at first, but the choice and in particular the quality of the food was superb, Sarah is an amazing chef. We were walking the Dales Way, as were other guests and Ed, the landlord, made sure we were all introduced to each other. Great breakfast and Sarah gave us all invaluable information about refreshments on our walk ahead. We will visit here again. Thanks.
We loved everything about the place.
