The place was clean the staff were excellent and the location was great. The bed was comfortable, and it had everything.
The room was an oven , the air con was weak, and it took ages to cool down. The doors are linked to the air con, so if you open a door, the air con stops. The air con was too weak and slow, and then when it finally cooled, the air blows over the bed. so you have to turn it off. It needs a new system. The bathroom was an oven as the sun heats it up during the day so close the bathroom door when you leave, and the fridge does not cool things and don't get the top floor if you stay here.

And most of all very friendly hosts !!

Perfect place - functional, stylish, clean and quiet - in perfect location - a stone throw from the museum, taxi and bus station, city centre and main shopping streets.
4.5
We chose Domus Ariadne for the stylish design and the location adjacent to the Heraklion Archaeological Museum, and it did not disappoint on those or any counts. Excellent value for the price, too. Many thanks to Giannis at the front desk for providing kind and attentive service. Note that it is a very small hotel (only six rooms), located in a quieter area but still very convenient to Lion Square.
The bathroom in Rosso (2nd floor room with terrace) was very small, and the hot water and heat take more than a few minutes to warm things up, but these are just minor inconveniences.

Great hotel!
Nothing , was perfect will stay again

The hotel is in a quiet street close to the city center. Public transport options are also nearby (bus to the airport or to Knossos). The archeological museum is just around the corner. You get a voucher for a discount for an excellent breakfast at a place nearby. Friendly and communicative reception. The hotel looks brand new and is very clean. Reception communicates very well before arrival.
It was a very small room with the bed against the wall on one side. The layout of the bathroom was also inconvenient, especially after showering. While you don't hear the neighbouring rooms, there's a lot of noise coming from the corridor when other guests enter the building to go to their rooms. But it's a small hotel, so there isn't too much movement, making this only a minor nuisance. A lot of small LED's from different types of appliances keep the room brightly lit even when the lights are out. So better be prepared and bring a mask to cover your eyes. It takes about 2-3 minutes before the water is hot enough to shower. That's a lot of wasted water.

The location is close to the airport, city center and the port. Generally the place is furnished in a stylish way and the room Staff did come everyday during our stay to clean it. So I would say the place is good and if you stay 1-2 nights for transit or you plan to take the boat or flight the next day and it is probably good value. The Staff replied question for the public transportation. So I gave it 7 originally as I think it is good.
The location is close to the airport but the place doesn't have good sound insulation at least for the top floor, so you can hear the planes taking off and also the wind during late night. The toilet is not very large and water strip in the shower doesn't fully prevent the water from coming out so it is always a bit wet in the toilet. Then there is a small smart TV but not fully functional. Regarding the service, we asked some questions about the public transportation and it did get answered but not all the questions got answered timely. I think these are the points that the place can improve.
Also I find it is strange that the business owner contacted me via my personal contact after my original review of 7 star as (good). I chose the place because of its excellent rating above 9 and I just want to give my honest feedback about the place - it is good but I wouldn't say it is excellent comparing to my other stays for the similar business in Heraklion. Maybe other people leave 9-10 ratings as they think it has a good value or for other reasons and I fully respect that. I'm very concerned that I was contacted after my stay so I come back and increase my rating from 7 to 8. I think the place is good and still have space to improve to become excellent, I hope I won't get text again.

Quiet boutique hotel in the centre of Heraklion. Room was very clean and comfortable.
Our booking stated we’d have a view and a balcony. The view was the inside of a tiny courtyard and there was no balcony.

we haven’t met the hotel’s staff during our 3 days stay at domus Ariadne.

Before I arrived, Giannis reached out to confirm my check in time, and the actual check in/check out process was incredibly easy. He was very helpful in answering my questions and making me feel welcome. (Thank you for the complimentary pastries!) He was able to direct me to a nearby laundry drop-off service, where I had a very pleasant and efficient experience.
The room was comfortable, clean, and modern. The a/c worked well, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was lovely with plenty of hot water. There’s a Nespresso machine in the room with complimentary espresso pods as well as an electric kettle, bottled water, and tea/instant coffee. I was also pleasantly surprised to find a set of dishes and eating utensils in the kitchenette.
The location is perfect, on a quiet street, but still in the middle of everything and only a two minute walk from the archaeology museum and the bus to/from the airport. Also, the hotel’s inner courtyard is beautiful.
Your stay includes a discount card for meals at a nearby coffee roastery called Crop, which has great breakfast/brunch options.
I had an excellent stay at Domus Ariadne and won’t hesitate to recommend it to friends looking for a place to stay in Heraklion.

small boutique hotel in center of town practically next to the archaeological museum, a must see. Buy your combined ticket here for museum and Knossos. see Knossos first then the museum. The room was small, nicely functional and designed. staff very agreeable when present. it’s practically self serve. recommend highly for solo and couple for a short term stay.
not a thing.

Pleasant staff member gave us a lot of good information about this town. We arrived early and we were able to use the room, drop all of our luggage and enjoy the city. Very clean but small rooms. Extremely nice staff!!
I wish they would have simple stuff like shampoo and conditioner
