Magical

The best hostel I have stayed in. Ever. Apart from the perfect location with regards to the beach and supermarket, the atmosphere of the hostel was magical. I formed some long-lasting connections with people all over the globe - it definitely encouraged a strong sense of creating a travelling family! The design of the kitchen and other communal areas made me want to always be lounging around in the space - very spacious and comforting. Beautiful plants everywhere which made the hostel feel peaceful and secluded. The volunteers and owners were another lovely addition I wasn't expecting - genuinely good people (with good taste in music too). I could've spent several months just in this hostel and this area - I never got bored of the vibe.

Everything was perfect - already recommended it to several other travellers I've met since leaving!

The people, the staff , the vibe

The actual facilities themselves are horrible, Bed, shower A/c only from 8pm to 8am Mold in shower and on bed curtains Smell of sewage in the living areas

loved it!!

the staff absolutely made this hostel! so friendly and happy to help with everything from the minute we got there. they make everyone feel so welcome - there is a lovely social but chilled atmosphere here. it is located between the north and south of santa teresa so both are in easy walking distance despite it feeling a little out of town. the dorms were small but it didnt matter as we had curtains which felt very private. my favourite hostel of the trip

Exceptional

the pods are amazing and offer a lot of privacy. the outdoor kitchen and the yoga deck are nice too. everything is clean and the staff is super friendly and helpful. It just wasn’t too busy when I was there and everything seems to be happening a 10min walk from the hostel which is still ok. enjoyed my stay!

The location was great. The staff are friendly and really helpful. They guide me what to do! The pods are very comfortable and rooms have A/C. they did a good job maintaining the property clean. The kitchen was clean and it’s outside. loved to make my daily meals there

Worse hostel that I have ever stayed.. super dirty… there is no space for the luggage.. so you have to leave them outside the room.

It was uncomfortable, but for the price I guess it’s to be expected.

It was not too far from the road.

the WiFi did not extend to the property. It was only strong in your room.

Disappointing

I loved the atmosphere in the common areas

Everything was so dirty and disgusting, I didn’t really cared about the rooms, but they were really really small and the bathroom wasn’t clean. The worse part was the kitchen.

the worst place I’ve stayed in all of Costa Rica

it was close to lost boyz

when I got back there someone was sleeping in my bed so I found a dirty bed to sleep in. when I told them what happened they said I wasn’t suppose to stay in that room. hmmm that’s weird because I had the code to the room. I would not recommend staying at this place

Exceptional

I loved the vibe of this hostel. It’s small so it’s super easy to make friends if you’re a solo traveler, the staff is awesome, and of course Nala the puppy is a great bonus. Easy walk to the beach too! Made so many new friends, always felt welcome, definitely am going to miss this place! Might have to go back soon (:

The wifi was fine if you don’t work remote but working remote my zoom meetings were a bit hit or miss. I found a spot in my room that had a decent connection but uploading files took a bit of time. Other than that it was awesome!

Good location

Pods are spacious and private, beds are comfy. Nice area for socialising outside in the garden. Common areas are cleaned daily. Gaby helped me amend my booking before arrival which was appreciated. Good location, close to beach and shops/restaurants.

No light in our room apart from the light in the individual pods, I did see a light in other rooms so might just be room 4. Limited storage space in locker but my rucksack fit down the side of the bed in the pod, lots of people left their bags in the hallway instead. Aircon on a timer 8pm-8am only.

Best place to stay in Santa Teresa

The staff is just composed by awesome people which gives at this cozy place a beautiful vibe. The pods have curtains that gives a little space of privacy if you need it. There’s some events during the week where you can see the staff performing. There’s a deck who got a fresh new roof for practicing yoga. The place is really beautiful

Good stay, not attentive customer service

Very close to supermarket and restaurants in Santa Teresa. Loved that there was a kitchen available to cook your own food and very close to the beach. People were friendly and a nice atmosphere overall.

Staff are not attentive to the phone and reception area, it was very hard to get in contact with them and they would reply back hours later or the day after, would not pick up calls at the times that we've needed them to. We were on our way and needed confirmation of the reservation, and they did not pick up in all the interval times that we tried to reach out, as a result we had to book the first night in another place, we even sent messages and these were answered until the next day. If you're worried about COVID, I didn't see any measures taken to prevent the spread of the virus.

Was not clean, door didn’t close, slept in a 3 story high bunk bed with no fence, shower was gross, there was dog poop in the kitchen, a lot of ants and bugs in the kitchen and more

Kitchen/living area was clean & cozy. Garden has a yoga deck & gym. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
