About this house rental
Lots of space to spread out! The street is named after the many chipmunks that run around, but there are even more deer this year! We love the Massanutten area so much that this is our 3rd vacation home up here! We were luckily able to buy the home before it went on the market and have remodeled it to be the perfect large family gathering. Enjoy!
This beautiful home sits on top of the street at the end of the cul-de-sac with amazing views of the ski slopes, yet it is still easily accessible by a regular 2-wheel drive sedan. We have recently renovated and updated this home. New carpet upstairs, new mattresses, sheets, towels, etc...

Home was amazing, clean and Spacious

The house was wonderful. Very clean with everything we needed for our stay. The only downside I had was the outdoor gas grill didn't get hot enough. The flame was real low which didn't allow for grilling anything besides hot dogs and hamburgers and even those took a long time to cook. Other than that it was GREAT!!!

By far our best golf tournament so far, the house was immaculate, huge and had a lot to offer. Owner was fantastic. Made our trip all the better!

We were a group of 3 families with grandparents. Everyone loved our stay at Chipmunk and exploring Shenandoah. All of the facilities at Chipmunk were excellent - the kitchen, barbecues and the bathrooms were all great for us. S'mores at the firepit at night was fun and I managed to take some excellent starry night pictures. The kids also all enjoyed the go karts nearby. Communication with Marshall was excellent throughout. Highly recommended.

I can’t say enough about the house and the owner. A last minute getaway for some family time together before our boys left for college. The thoughtfulness by the owners and the extras provided at the rental covered everything we needed to make for a wonderful and memorable weekend. HIGHLY recommend!

The house was fantastic. We had enough room for eveyone and activities while at the house. The cornhole in the back and the firepit on the side of the house was a nice added touch. Any questions or issues that arose the Host was fast to respond and was very helpful. All around our group had a good expirence and I would highly recommend this house and host to any group booking a trip.

We enjoyed our stay at Mount Chipmunk! Check in was easy with accurate instructions. Communication will the owner was outstanding! We had a minor problem with the HVAC that was taken care of quickly and professionally. A+
The house itself was clean and decorated well. Many details were taken care of to make the stay easy like, paper towels, scrub pad for dishes, body soap, shampoo, trash bags, and coffee filters. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and cookware. Linens were clean and like-new. Property had a good layout and perfect for family fun. We enjoyed our stay!

Great Family Trip Location. Easy Check In & Check Out. Very Clean House. Plenty of Room in House for Family of 14. Owners Very Easy to Commuincate With. Plenty of Bedding. Plenty of Towles and Basic Supplies. Great Location with Plenty to Do & Eat within 20 mins. We Went to Ski but No Snow, but Found Lots to Do at House and Out and About. Definitely Recommend.

We had a FANTASTIC stay, due in large part to the wonderful condition of the Chipmunk house, the amenities, and the hospitality from the homeowner Marshall. The property was immaculately maintained and it had many welcome surprises for our kids (family friendly games, toys for the kids, TV’s already setup with streaming apps logged in, etc). The beds were very comfortable, as was the couches, and there was ample room in the kitchen for cooking. The bathrooms all had extra toiletries included, kitchen had dishwasher detergent, and laundry room had clothing detergent (I always bring my own, but it’s a welcome surprise for the house to advertise having things like that stocked and available, especially as you may forget something or run out).
Marshall was especially helpful through out our entire stay. He mentioned before I arrived that the Keurig hadn’t been brewing as well, so he dropped off a brand new one for us to use when we arrived! I wish every stay I had went as well as this one did. :)

House layout is perfect for our group but some things need little love to make it perfect — better primary bedroom
mattress, keurig half works, area rugs snagged and worn, wash clothes/kitchen towels/bath towels dingy, kitchen faucet only has sprayer, lightbulbs out on outside lights, batteries dead in tv remote, curtain on primary bedroom fell every time touched it cause no rod ends to hold it up.
We love location and house though and hot tub is awesome!

Our family has been renting houses now for over fifteen years in many different areas and states. This has been our best experience that I can remember. The house was spacious ,clean and very nicely furnished and maintained. It contained all the amenities that one could need and then some. Everything was clearly marked and organized making them very accessible. The layout both inside the house and the porches and fire pit on the outside were perfect . It was a quiet area with a beautiful mountain view too . We also enjoyed the hot tub . Marshall and Joy were very gracious hosts answering our question and helping with suggestions almost immediately. We recommend this house to those searching for a very comfortable ,relaxing and beautiful vacation.

Nice get away location
Very quiet and very pretty. The space for all of us was quite adequate and the playroom was a plus for the children. The kitchen was supplied very well with both dishes and appliances. It was a vacation to remember.

House and location very nice. Close to all Massanutten activities.
Rear deck an extra bonus for outside activities and hot tub access. Beds could be upgraded for more comfort and adults. There are a lot of bunkbeds. Limited parking area to 3 or 4 vehicles. Otherwise this was your home away from home.

Great Home
We had a wonderful stay! Home was even better than the pictures and the view was amazing. Close to all the activities in the area including two great parks that Marshall gave us a heads up on. Only glitch was finding out Amazon packages are not delivered to the house, but even the post office employees were kind and helped us track it down quickly. Apparently the package issue happens a lot with renters in the area, which is the only reason I mention it just for others to be aware. Overall we loved our visit and hope to go back soon!

This House Has Everything!
We stayed at the house a few weeks ago and really enjoyed the convenience to the slopes and the convenience of how the kitchen was fully equipped and labeled as to where to find things. TVs, hot tub, and instructions were on point. When we arrived, there were lots of ladybugs on the inside of the house, but I think it's this time of year; they didn't bother us. Also, the showers were a little narrow in two bathrooms but overall a nice house to stay in. Marshall was great and responded to any questions we had.

Couples weekend for hubby’s birthday!
We had 10 folks stay for a long weekend for my husband’s 45th birthday. The property is clean and as pictured/listed. We really enjoyed the views , hot tub and fireplace upstairs. Kitchen is well stocked and linens were clean.
Owner was very responsive to texts and questions. We accidentally damaged property during our stay and immediately notified the owner. He was reasonable and professional about the situation. We would definitely stay at this property again and recommended it to anyone!

Best View in Massanutten
Awesome house and stay! We had 14 family members ranging from grandparents to grandkids. Plenty of room, plenty of fun. We have stayed several places in Massanutten and I don't think there is a better view anywhere. Perfect location in proximity to all activities in Massanutten! We'll be back!

Great location/community, perfect layout
We stayed at Mount Chipmunk with 12 family members. The room layout and bed arrangements were perfect for our family. Very clean, good selection of amenities, great community/location, incredible view. This checked every box for our group!

Too many bunk beds
This place is not for 16 people sleeps. They added too many bunk beds and the mattress was horrible to sleep. I would recommend to add good quality mattress. We was unable to find outside light and sent an email to Marshall but he didn't respond. Everything was good other than these issues.

Clean, comfortable and spacious, perfect for our mix of friends and family that stayed here during July 4th weekend. And bonus - the fireworks were visible from the front balcony! The kitchen is very well stocked (even has a wine fridge and we appreciated that!) We did smores around the campfire. Only warning is that the driveway is a bit steep. But we fit three cars at the top of the driveway and two others at the base, so it wasnt a problem for our group at all.
