Believe the description regarding the drive/road up to the cabin. We had a 4WD and it was a kidney buster.
Overall the cabin is clean and as described.
I highly recommend that you take your own towels and wash cloths. The few that were provided were a bit threadbare.

We have been staying in the Smokies for many years and this is the best view we have ever had! The cabin is very nice and comfortable. It was spotless clean and well maintained. The property management were very friendly and addressed our every need quickly and promptly. The road getting to the cabin is exactly as advertised, what an adventure and a memory we will never forget. It was a great week!

Had a great time. Beautiful property with an incredible view. Our only complaint was both bathrooms were almost out of toilet paper with only 1 backup roll.

Awesome view indeed!

Great mountain get away.

We enjoyed this property immensely; the hot tub is a nice touch. The road up to the property is rough and 4-wheel drive made it much more manageable. Slight upgrades would make this property even more luxurious such as better shower heads and toilet seats (as the one in the master pinches your legs). Overall we would book this property again, very beautiful view of Smokies especially when it snows!

If you're looking for the ultimate getaway from the concrete jungle, this is the place. The images don't do it justice. From the amazing view to the cleanliness and comfort of the cabin, we truly enjoyed ourselves. Will keep in mind for future travels. My only advice to other travelers is if you do not have an AWD vehicle, take the longer route to get to the cabin and take the shorter route when heading into town.

Very secluded and phenomenal view from the porch! House was very beautiful and clean. Everything we expected and more!

Our family of four enjoyed our stay in "Awesome View". The name is certainly accurate. If you are planning on this you NEED a 4WD vehicle. The driveway is steep and narrow and you would not want to be on this without 4WD.
With that said the listing is accurate and you should do fine with the terrain as long as you are prepared.
The cabin was very nice and we had a great stay.

Weather was breezy and in the 70s. Lots of hummingbirds around the deck. They were fun to watch. Road is steep and treacherous so 4WD is necessary as the listing states. Great sized cabin. Had a pleasant stay.
4.8
Easy check in and out. Plenty of amenities. Just what we expected.

The road leading up to the cabin is treacherous! (But well worth it) I would most definitely stay here again! The views from the deck are so beautiful! The cabin is stocked with all of the necessary amenities, you wouldn't even need to leave (other than for food) if you didn't want to!

Need to describe property a little better. Internet doesn't load wellon tvs. Lots of reloading. Beautiful home lots ofsteps and short space for dogs outside. Would gladly stay again as I didn't want to leave this time.be sure totake good eith uou on the way up or take advantage of using the pay to have them stock the cabin for you. A littsilly that will allowdogs butnot on the furniture

Had a nice stay. Loved the ride up the gravel road to get to the house! I've got 4-wheel so no issues there. Found everything we needed in the kitchen. Bedding was good as was the comfort of the bed. While there, our phone service was 100%, no issues. Would highly reccommend this property.

Wow! it was a such an amazing stay. I have no words to express how wonderful the house, the view, the town and everything else is. I cannot wait to be back. PS. Great Smokey Mountains are my favorite so far.

Long review!!!!
I’m going to be honest. I’ve stayed on this mountain many times over the years, but never in this house. The drive up wasn’t shocking because we’ve done it many times. You absolutely need a 4WD vehicle. You can never predict what condition the road is in so err on the side of caution and make sure you are driving a 4WD. The house was super clean and I didn’t have any issues with the stairs to get in and out because that is obvious in the pictures.
I was so looking forward to some cool mountain breezes blowing through the windows and enjoying the glorious mountain weather. I was shocked to arrive and realize that all of the window screens have been removed and all of the windows are sealed shut. In a different time of year this might not matter, but I was looking forward some free AC.
I know the “Amazing View” is amazing because I’ve stayed on this mountain many times. The view really is amazing!! The view at sunrise is unbelievably beautiful!! The problem is…….there are bats roosting at the door and if you want to take pictures of sunrise or before, you have to be willing to fight bats that are coming home to roost just above the door. The same is true in the evening. I am an early riser and love to take pictures from this location, but I couldn’t because of the bats.
This house really does have an amazing view. It is clean and has a completely stocked kitchen. No need to bring basic supplies, salt, pepper and many spices are there including all pots and pans and paper goods, soap, TP, etc.

We rent cabins once or twice a year in Western Carolina. This is by far the best place we have stayed. Absolutely beautiful, long range views. Perfect size for a couple, a family of two, or two couples and two children. Very clean. The reviews that talk about the drive up the mountain are not an exaggeration. It took a couple trips to get the confidence needed to go up and down in our SUV. We did not have a 4-wheel drive. But if you want a great view, you have to go up! Great location! Great communication.

This place is beautiful! It’s a little rough getting up the mountain to it, but very doable. The cabin was very clean and equipped with any supplies one might need to cook with. My family had a wonderful relaxing time.

The views are amazing!!!
We stayed in Maggie Valley so we could go to the Pow Wow on the Cherokee reservation, not far from there. It is a perfect, secluded get away with amazing views! The hot tub was an added bonus! We went in July, and I would still recommend an all wheel drive vehicle! Thank you for letting us stay!

Beautiful Scenery
Great getaway location located less than an hour drive between other sightseeing destinations. Loved the quiet and beauty, and the cabin had everything we needed. When they say you must have a 4x4 or AWD they are not kidding! Was great that they allowed pets so my dog could get away with us and enjoy the time away. Would definitely recommend this cabin!

Awesome view
Over all experience was good, no major complaints, had to familiarize myself with thermostat. All in all would book again.

Great Remote Cabin
It's a gorgeous cabin, with an awesome view. It was peaceful and pleasant. We loved every minute of it. It does have steep sides, and you should be careful if you bring dogs; our dog got very excited by some critters in the underbrush and had to be dragged back by his harness. Great location, although the private road to get there is a little hairy; lots to see and do in the area. Lovely.

Great View...Very Secluded
Our stay was great! Property was nice, appliances were new and the kitchen was well equipped. Only issue was listing states there is a DVD player, so we brought all our favorite movies, however, there was no DVD player. Other than that...great stay! Definitely need four wheel drive vehicle.

Will stay again!
Wonderful cabin with the best views in a Maggie Valley!

Yes, the shorter route up to the cabin is rough and it probably would have not been doable with our lower vehicle but we were prepared. We took our Tacoma up that route every time and never had to put it in 4wheel drive so it was a pretty easy for us. The cabin was extremely clean and well stocked. The hot tub was spotless and we enjoyed staying at Awesome View so much. We even saw a TON of elk (even more than we saw in Chataloochie) on the drive back and forth up to the cabin so that was a really cool experience. We will be back!

Exceptional property and view!!!
This property was GREAT!!! Warm and cozy with a truly unbelievable view! Check in and out process really efficient! The only issue is the access road…it really needs some grading work in a few spots. Would DEFINITELY stay here again!!!!

Perfect for a short retreat!
It was perfect for a retreat for 3 pastors. Equipped with all the necessities.
The view is amazing. Mornings are breathe-taking. It’s private and cozy—Nights in the hot tub and mornings enjoying the view while sipping coffee.

Beautiful view - difficult road
Everything was wonderful- need upgrade the out door grill. It’s pretty nasty. Leaving a bit firewood would be a nice touch. The road to the cabin is not for faint hearted. It’s basically one lane and very steep. Could run into problems if someone coming the other way. Be careful

Wonderful cabin to stay in. Sunrises were beautiful. Stars at night go on forever. Road is no joke, esp if your truck is load with firewood etc.. not 4wheel. Long way worked. Motorcycle not a smart move, rain ruts made it down right scary coming down. Save yourself lots of worry. Rent a storage unit in town.

Perfect for unplugging, relaxing & reconnecting. Lied & told the kids we did not have any internet. We had a blast, foosball tournament every night with a little ping pong game as well. Great fire pit area for nightly s’mores cooking. The views are amazing. Cabin was spotless, well stocked & just perfect for our family. Quick note on the road up to the cabin, I drive an awd GMC Acadia so I took the long way upon our arrival, it was long. Next morning , feeling a bit adventurous, I tried the shorter way via Long Branch to black bear cove. Only about a 1/2 mile of gravel then you hit pavement. I found this way to be MUCH shorter & had no issues. We will definitely rent here again.

We really enjoyed our stay and the view is beyond awesome! I recommend the primary set of directions with a 4-wheel drive vehicle over the longer directions. This property is centrally located to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Asheville and Waynesville which has a lovely downtown area. Bocelli’s Italian restaurant in Waynesville was fabulous and the portions are large enough for plenty of leftovers. The foosball game and ping pong table in the loft area were a lot of fun. I’m glad my children are teens/young adults as the area immediately surrounding the perimeter of the home has steep drop offs. If you have younger children or super active pets, you’ll want to monitor their activities more closely than usual. Plan time at the end of your stay for putting away washed dishes and linen laundry before you checkout per property instructions.
