Charlotte was lovely. All issues were dealt with efficiently and quickly.
A little dated

Friendly woman who eventually sorted out WiFi. Pub in dowstairs part looked fine.
Chaotic on arrival - OK in the end. Front door and general areas beyond shabby but bathroom had been done up. Dirty, very worn carpet on stairs, stained carpet in entrance, rickety front door with peeling paint, very dirty windows in room (that didn't matter though).

It was a nice quaint room. It was clean and quiet even though it was over a bar. The staff was friendly. The only thing was the stairs were long and steep, but the staff helped us get the big suitcases up stairs, so all was good.
Getting to the door you had to walk around the building and the cement and steps were old and broken in places, so it was hard pulling suitcases.

Central to meet my needs and Charlotte the manager was helpful and so nice

Nothing
No one to great us had to ring a number that didn't pick up dirty carpets, we had a pub kitchen below our room and smelt of cooking

Good place for people without children. You can eat, drink and dance in the bar downstairs.
No information about loud music until midnight in the bar below the hotel. For families with children, this is a problem because children cannot sleep.

The room was of a good size, light an airy which we liked. Bed was comfortable, generous width and clean. Parking on site was a bonus. I normally prefer to stay where I can get breakfast but this was a fairly late booking and accepted the shortfall upfront.
The windows and bathroom floor were not quite spick and span and there were chips out of the door frame. We were there on one of the hottest weekends this year and I was unable to get the shower temperature down to a level I would stand under. There is no lift, but having notified of my wife's loss of mobility we were allocated the room closest to the stairs, which were an easier ascend than I expected, and we were grateful for that.

good value for money
hallway/stairs dirty, front entrance like a building site

Comfortable mattress, free parking.
Dirty beyond reproach, small room, incredibly expensive for the low standards.

Room clean and tidy. Bed comfortable. Bathroom clean
The location of the room was right next to a very busy road. Lot of traffic noise late into the night and early morning

check in took a while as unmanned, curtains didn’t close properly.

Absolutely everything
I booked somewhere to take my dog and although the cottages do except dogs, after booking it said the cottage we had booked didn't allow dogs.

Hotel is close to the river and easy to go for a walk. Restaurants and shops are very close
We got a room that had windows to a main road. It was noisy.

Great value for money! Handy location
Facility is a bit tired. Can do with some maintenance works
4.5
Ideal location for Southampton at a very reasonable rate compared to others. Staff very friendly and the twin bedded room allocated was spacious, clean and comfortable with all the amenities for an overnight stay.
It would be a very expensive outlay but as the room overlooked a busy main road, it could have done with double glazing.

no food
No one came to the room .I was they for 6 days , no clean towels, no bins empty and no tea of coffee was replace.
Very loud music on Sat night to 12.30am. apart form the bed there was no wear to sit
4.0
The write up info was quite intimidating when it said there was Tea and coffee only for the day of arrival. This sounded very basic which wasnt the case. In reality it was fairly generous..it would be helpful to mention there is a tesco express next door and lots of cafes....it may have but I didnt read it .
3.5
As stated by someone else the room could do with an easy chair or similar so that you do not have to use the bed as a seat.
