We had a very relaxing and peaceful stay. We thoroughly enjoyed the fishing.

The fishing lakes were fabulous and only a 10 min walk from the cottage.

Nothing to report it was all fabulous!

Perfect spot for a getaway in the Peak District

Lovely house and location, would definitely stay again. Bed was super comfy and location very quiet. Great customer service over the phone and the house has ideal set up if you want to bring dogs.

Only a minor thing would be to have more wine glasses and some kitchen knives :) I appreciate most people want to eat out when they go away but the house isn’t set up for cooking if you want to stay in.

Ideal large cottage for an active family break with pet.

Beautifully furnished. Large comfortable beds, good for tall adults. All 3 bedrooms were good and no-one would feel they were short-changed. Dog walking from the cottage - on-lead in the fishing club area but access to footpaths outside this area where off-lead is acceptable Countryside code permitting. Good pubs nearby but also good equipment and storage in kitchen to make own meals (large fridge freezer, range cooker, good knives.)

Lovely house, very warm with great facilities. Excellent value for money.

Superking beds were a bonus

Not enough comfy seating in lounge for 5 adults (only 2 sofas, however a photo showed an additional armchair but this was missing). More cutlery would have been useful.

Exceptional

Really nice cottage, clean and well equipped. Quiet location with excellent walks and facilities near by. Staff were very friendly.. shower was very good. Nice court yard, and the Lakside Cafe is well recommended and only a 5 min walk from the the cottage.

Great location - a few minutes drive from Peak District National Park. The kitchen was small but fully equipped. Very comfy beds, clean and renovated bathroom.

Pleasant

Very clean. Good shower. Queries and requests for additional towels etc dealt with promptly and efficiently. Made to feel very welcome.

Lots of niggly little things. Hangers supplied didn't work with the rail provided. Sofa and chair very uncomfortable. Also not cleaned properly as when I had to lift the cushions had not been hoovered. Pillows on bed were very soft. Personal preference for both but.... Induction hob wouldn't work for us with saucepans provided so had to rely on oven and microwave to cook meals. Table provided needed to be moved to get chairs out and it was very heavy. Also table was missing one of the drop leaves. Outdoor area very bland with overgrown trees and weeds and rusty and old furniture.

Gorgeous cottage.. Equipped with everything you need, Very peaceful location with lovely walks for the dog. Great rooms with really comfortable beds. One downstairs with a stable door to a small court yard

we absolutely loved the cottage, it was super cosy and clean

there was no garden however we did have a small patio for ourselves only. plus there is a huge green space just in front of the cottage so the lack of the garden is not really a problem;)

Peaceful accommodation a lovely big bath had most of what we needed for short stay

Nothing much if I was going to stay for longer I'd want a washing machine .shame no local shops but it wasn't far in the car for shopping

Exceptional

we stayed in The Nook which had recently had a new walk in shower room, the whole cottage was beautiful and well equipped with anything we may of needed. Joanne, our host was exceptional and really pleasant and kind to us which made our short stay even better, so much so we booked again on our check out and will stay in one of the other beautiful cottages next time :-) My only advice to anyone thinking of staying here, would be that one night simply isn’t long enough to explore the absolutely stunning grounds, lakes and walks, you won’t want to leave :-)
