Not good for family experience

The location

Was given a room far far away from the lift and only two lifts on the floor to accommondate hunders of rooms. The master bedroom with a disable toilet alike the hospital setup which makes very uncomfortable experience.

The Abode Belconnen overall is a lovely place to visit.

The property was very clean and comfortable.

It was a little further from the city than I had anticipated, however that was no fault of the Abode Belconnen and was my issue with poor research.

An unexpected (fabulous) find on Easter Monday travelling from East Gippsland to Sydney

In context we just needed a place to stay travelling between East Gippsland and Sydney. This place was great. Very spacious, clean and neat. We could bring our dog. Pool, Sauna, Spa, Gym were fabulous. Lots of places for food particularly a Woolworths at the front door and some suitable restaurants. We will definitely stay here again.

This wasn't an issue for us but it is not close to the main tourist attractions (Parliament house, Musuems, Art Galleries etc). Will definitely need a car. Parking was $15 a day but we thought this price was ok.

It was ok but strategically it wasn't set out the best

Bed was very comfortable. Location waa good. It was very clean.

Not having a coffee machine as I expected. The insane distance our room was from reception and even further from car (2 lifts). Air con doesntcover entire "apartment". Not really an apartment- a bed behind glass doors. Uncomfortable main area.

We had a fabulous time and would stay again if you could fix those few things.

The facilities were great and good value for money. The proximity to shops and eateries was also an advantage.

not enough hooks or rails in the bathroom for used towels and no hand towel hook or rail. The lights in the living area would have been better on separate switches or a dimmer or maybe include a table or floor lamp. It was also annoying not to be able to access the other floors with our room key as we had four rooms booked with our family group and all on different floors. This made it difficult to move between each other’s rooms.

Heated pool and great facilities overall

The heated pool and sauna are fantastic. The room was a self-contained apartment with all the utilities there. Great location amongst a woolies and heaps of dining options. Direct bus to the airport or plenty of Ubers always around. Nice area to walk around with a lake, shops and a mall close by.

Windows did not open. I like fresh air and not having to use the air-conditioning all the time.

Not pleasant

The carpark was the worst I have encountered and I have stayed at a lot of motels. Maybe clearly mark abode. Gave me an anxiety attack trying to get out the next morning. Not well sign posted. Room ver claustrophobic and restaurant closed at 830 on a Friday night. Can't see myself coming back here to stay. Staff offered very little help when asked for assistance.

Great value for money

Very clean Friendly staff and I got a 10 voucher to spend on couple of beer Good size room

Lack of EV charging within the parking is a bit of pain. I had to charge in the club’s parking next door overnight. To avoid the $55 overnight parking fee, I had to get up at 430am to move it. Plz install an EV charger!

Luxury at an affordable cost

So clean, luxurious and comfortable. Facilities were amazing and staff were wonderful. Location was so convenient.

Would love if the rooms had balconies but this is just personal preference for us.

Difficult to check in close to the property as no parking on the street. Had to park in car park in nearby street before checking in and obtaining a hotel park.

Comfortable stay in a good location close to lake and convenient food options.

The rooms were compact but had all the facilities to make the stay comfortable. Having a pool and gym was great.

The rooms didn’t get cleaned during our 4 day stay and we had to request a clean and new towels. If you provide a pool then you have to expect guests to need more than 1 towel.

Poor staff communication and customer treatment

Beautiful comfortable bed and room and close to shop and food places

The staff I asked for late check out was given 12pm check out only to be woken by house keeping at 8.45 then again knock at the door at 10.30 for staff to open the door while we were in bed, then a phone call at 11am. Absolutely terrible communication. The lifts from the car to the room is chaotic having to use 2 different lifts

The restaurant was not open at all over the whole stay. very incovenient. I understand it was the holiday period but it's a hotel! Parking was charged yet anyone can park there for free. Hotel parking on level -3 and change of lifts halfway up to the room was annoying.

Convenient stay for any activities in the Belconnen area of Canberra

Abode Belconnen is excellently located near the Belconnen Town Centre, Lake Ginninderra, the CISAC pool complex, the University of Canberra, etc. The rooms are well-appointed. Having a separate bedroom that can be closed off to the living area is a bonus. A small supermarket is right across from the hotel. There are also coffee places and restaurants nearby.

The corridors are long, I mean really long. For someone with difficulties in walking, this could be a bit of a problem, although some rooms close to the lifts are available. CO2 measurements during the stay revealed that the room's ventilation did not receive a high enough amount of fresh air to keep the air quality within the Australian standard range (<800ppm). Rather, air from the room seemed to be recycled. This should be fixed.

Wonderful will definitely stay again

Staff were lovely, pool looked beautiful would of loved to swim but very windy , room was very clean had more than expected eg washing machine

Overall it was a good stay.

I like The cleanliness. They tidied up our room every day and changed the towel. Location was good, closer to where we needed to go.

The bathroom we had was for disable. There was no drawer or shelf to put our skincare stuff as the vanity was way too small.

No surprises, clean and comfortable

Location works for me on my infrequent visits to the ACT but in terms of $ value for what you pay closer to the city it's a no brainer for me including access to nearby safe parking for an over height vehicle that doesn't fit in most car parks with height restrictions

Comfortable, great pool and spa. Restaurant really nice. Like that we could buy wine at the desk.

The parking was a bit tricky. The allotted spaces were full and I am hoping we don't receive a parking ticket from Wilson parking.

Great hotel and location

The shower head was broken in my room which meant I couldn't shower properly twice (the water was spraying all over the bathroom and not through the shower head) I immediately notified reception and was told it will be looked at tomorrow after 9am I was there for the night only so someone looking at it the next day didn't help me.

Very efficient, clean and homely.

The location was excellent, the staff were really friendly and it was exceptionally clean!

The bed was too soft and the washing machine didn't have a dryer included and there was no where to hang wet clothes.
