The design concept of all the garden homes
Poor quality of housing. Poor service and customer response

Newton Hall is a beautiful hotel near the Northumberland Coast. Rooms look fantastic and are really stylish. The public rooms are fabulous.
The breakfast was lovely, a good selection and freshly cooked.
The rooms are lovely but not very practical, for example the hairdryer needed to be plugged into a socket, but there was no socket close to a mirror.
The weather was terrible when we visited, but the hotel doesn't serve food in the evening so we had to go out

This is a stunning hotel set in the beautiful Northumberland countryside. Lovely surrounding gardens and very friendly staff.
We would have preferred to have enjoyed breakfast within the hotel rather than having to walk to The Joiners Arms. Having said that, we always received a warm welcome and lovely food there.

Loved our room have very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely , dinner at the joiners arms was okay however have had better on previous stays here.
Disappointed in attitude of cleaner/housekeeper on arrival to our garden room - given key at check in and sent on our way to our room on arrival bin bags and cleaning cart outside room and woman stood outside looking at us as if to say what are you doing here stated “they shouldn’t have given you the key we aren’t ready” did not even say hello or how can I help was quite rude in her tune I understand it was Valentine’s Day and that is most likely one of the busiest days of the year for those in the hotel business however it was not our fault we were given the key.

Stayed for only 1 night so really didnt experience every aspect of the hotel and its facilities. Would have liked to have stayed longer to enable me to write additional comments.

We’ve stayed here several times and it’s always lovely.
Couldn’t get a drink at the bar as there was a wedding on in the other part of the hotel so that was a shame.
No heating in the room. Had to get maintenance to come and bleed the radiator.

Great staff, brilliant room, lovley location
Could have been clearer before the start that we needed to book the joiners arms for the first night before we got there, it didn't matter as we got takeaway but still a little inconvenient.

Excellent location , lovely surroundings, and quaint little village. Breakfast was excellent with plenty to choose from and quality produce . The short walk to the restaurant was a joy.
All the staff were more than helpful, which is a rare thing.
Having a chiminea and outside seated area outside the room was excellent along with the hot tub it felt like a secluded heaven. The room had plenty of space and well decorated to a modern high standard.
There was nothing to dislike.

Lovely place , everything was set out beautifully. Staff were great . Breakfast was lovely . Rooms are well thought out , facilities were very good! Will be coming back at some point
Could’ve been a bit more privacy in room 14 out the back, we were chilling in the hot tub and people could see us walking by .
Couple of stains on the blanket

Staff were friendly, room was lovely and breakfast was brilliant!
Minor things missing with the room that was originally advertised like slippers and chocolates. We booked the room at a discount so wasn't too upset, but had we paid full price we may have been a little more disappointed with the missing features.

Beautifully decorated rooms and the property itself was gorgeous. Very upmarket feel. Staff were accommodating and friendly
Advertised as room service available for evening meals and breakfast too but i was told that this was actually not available. I did however get a discount to make up for this.

Good afternoon,
I'm writing following mine and my husbands stay on the 11th September 2023. This stay was for my friends wedding. (Kim & Dean Ashurst)
I'd firstly like to start by saying what a beautiful venue, the grounds are gorgeous, the hall is stunning and decorated very tastefully.
I would however like to address a few concerns/complaints I experienced in our visit and stay.
Within the ladies toilet there was a toilet roll dispenser broken, the metal hanging down and causing lots of ladies knocking into it and having to squeeze into the cubicle. This was mentioned to a member of staff but nothing was forthcoming.
I walked back to the lodge/cabin to realise I left my charger in the car, at such a late hour I found it so unnerving to be out in the wilderness with very poor lighting.
We stayed in a detached lodge with hot tub which again decor was beautiful beds comfortable, my issue started at the evening of going to bed when I was washing my face, I couldn't pull any hot water through the tap. This was gone midnight and just used cold water, went to bed and thought no more of it other than maybe it's all been used up.
The next day I went out to the hot tub on the morning. The outdoors area was quite poorly cleaned and I was a little disappointed for the monies paid I think this should have definitely been a priority, cleanliness.
Then to top the stay off, I went in the shower to clean the chlorine off and I was mortified to find that the water was still no better that morning Infact Baltic! Seeming naive at the time, allowing my husband to follow on thinking it may be me and the controls. He too didn't get no hot water. At this time we was ready to leave therefore just rushed to get ready and out for breakfast.
To me for an overnight stay I wouldn't say it was a pleasant experience and certainly wouldn't be rushing to come back or recommend to my friends for the price we paid.
I look forward to receiving your response.
Kind regards
Mr & Mrs Stead

The grounds were beautiful and the staff were really knowledgeable about places to visit in the local area. The room was delightful, clean and comfortable. I'm very keen to stay here again

It was utterly charming and quirky. Lots of places to chill out inside and outside. Great location and close to the pub for food.
Not much - slightly clunky plumbing in thy courtyard room but nothing you wouldn't get used to. Would also recommend booking the pub ahead of time for food but they were very good at getting us a table both nights.
