We really enjoyed visiting this part of the shore. The great outdoor spaces eclipsed the room issues

The property is located between the ocean and the river. The exterior amenities were lovely. The outdoor bar with live music was a pleasant surprise.

Our room, although recently updated and clean, was bare bones. The TV was miniscule. There was no soap, shower/floor mat or washcloths provided. The shower was impossible given that the shower curtain was mounted too high above the floor pan, and water went everywhere. The shower drain was slow - causing further flooding conditions. No coffee maker was provided, and going down to the lobby for coffee proved exasperating, as guests were waiting to make individual Keurig cups one at a time. If there is no other alternative for morning coffee, there should be at least a pot brewing - especially on crowded weekends!

Never again !

It was across from the beach.

The rooms were bare, simple microwave, two beds dresser 1side table, a chair and tv. There was no garbage can except for the bathroom, the side window looked at a white fence. There ants all over the bathroom floor we didn’t notice this until the morning we were leaving, we had no food in the room that could have attracted them. The bathroom was so old it looked like they had repainted so many times there were air pockets trapped and after we took a shower it looked like the paint was ripping off. Super thin walls I could hear the next door occupants snorting and having regular conversations till 2 am. I would never again pay $350 to stay in a dump like this. I’m curious how long it will take for the ants to get to the “nicer” rooms. I did enjoy the bar/cafe.

Except the location there is nothing I liked about the property. It was such a bad experience. The staff was not helping for any issue you have. They just said no and sorry to any questions we had. The property smells weed although it is no smoking place. Rooms were dirty and bathroom was terrible. and they refused to provide cleaning or housekeeping.

The property was poorly managed. The staff was good for nothing. For the whole trip the lock of my room was broken and they did not get it fixed neither changed my room. We were always scared while we were out as our belongings were unsafe. I complained the staff 3-4 times but they did not do anything. They just assured that the property is safe but it does not matter. You need to have a locks in the room to make guest comfortable. I have serious complaints about the cleanliness. The bathroom was so small, dirty and broken and the staff refused to provide cleaning/housekeeping or any maintenance. They kept mentioning they do not have anyone to do it. Frankly it seemed like they were trained to say NO to any request from the guests. There was constant smell of weed although smoking was not allowed. And it was hard to understand that they were refusing everything because they did not have maintenance, housekeeping etc available on the Memorial Day weekend. I will not recommend anyone with family to stay there.

It was terrible

The room smelled bad and there was black mold in the bathroom. Also a fire alarm went off in the room at 3 AM and there was no fire.

I do not like black mold.

Good location

location was right across the street from the beach, backing on the River, near Sandy Hook recreation area, good restaurants nearby. Staff was very helpful.

For the price, this should have been a nicer place. The bed was hard, towels were skimpy, no hair dryer in unit. There were only a few people staying there on a Sunday night. Maybe lower the price??

The stay was good enough for one night but the disrepair of the place dampened the romantic goal.

The location, beautiful view of the bay and across the street from the beach. The beach was very peaceful. Close to the sandy hook.

The bathroom was not very clean there were small hairs on the floor, the property is in repair, paint is peeling, it smells musty, there was hair in the bed

We only stayed one night but it was very stressful.

There was no breakfast Location was good.

The room was small. Shower water was too hot. The main problem is we got locked out of the room at night. We went to office and no one was there. We called the same phone number as when we booked the room. We had to call the police since no one was available to help us. The police tried to open door and was unsuccessful. The police noticed there was a phone number on the office door. We called the number at least 3 times before someone answered. They told us that housekeeping was on the property. Finally someone came with a Key. This was very unprofessional by the hotel staff. I’ve stayed at a few Jersey Shore hotels and there was always someone in the office. This was not a good experience. I called the hotel and spoke to Alexia, assistant manager I explained the incident to her and asked can we get compensated because we got locked out and nobody was there to help. I’m not asking for all the money back but something should be offered to us. The assistant manager said they couldn’t compensate us.

I would not recommend this hotel

Location was good

No cleaning service even though there for 4 days. At $400 per night? No hairdryer in the room - no hangers for clothes Rooms needs redecoration The building site at the front is unedifying

Would stay if rooms are bigger

No breakfast available, room was very very small Construction until 9:30 ist night...early morning back at it...it seems they are building new luxury rooms right on the property...couldn't wait until summer is over ?...also no place to eat in room

Superb

The rooms are neat and beds are comfy. Lots of pillows and blankets. There was plenty of room to set up the baby's pack n play. Showers in the bathroom are huge with great water pressure. The pool is absolutely perfect for children--most of it is under 3 feet.

We had an ant colony outside of our ground floor room and my kids were fascinated watching them go back and forth, but unfortunately they migrated into our room overnight and feasted on our leftover pizza. I want to stress that the room was clean, I think the door seal was failing or something, and those ants are tiny. It wasn't a huge deal to me.

Overall very nice.

People around the pool were very noisy and brought an external speaker blasting their own music. Not only did it make it impossible to hear the very nice music the hotel was playing but it also made it difficult to have a conversation.

It is ideal if you want easy access to the beach for two or three nights.

Being so close to the beach was an attraction. There was able parking and the pool was the right size for a location of its size. The shower was excellent and the evening entertainment (when performed) was a bonus.

The room was very basic, with little by way of hanging space. There is no housekeeping which became an issue after a few days. The adjoining building does not look finished which is a bit unnerving. It is also a long way from Sea Bright Downtown and parking there is a nightmare.
