Location: Sea Isle Beach Community Galveston, TX
If you are looking for a getaway, this is the perfect place! Updated location with fenced in yard and lots of parking for friends and family.
Bedrooms: Location has 3 bedrooms with 1 upstairs and 2 on the main level. The upstairs has a bedroom with King with a daybed and bathroom attached. The main level has one bedroom with a King Bed and easy access to the deck with a sliding glass door. The second bedroom on the main level has 2 Twin bunk beds and 1 Queen Bed. There is a pull out couch in the living room with a full bed that sleeps 2 people. If you don’t want to use the couch, there are 3 air mattresses and bedding located on site: one queen & two twin air mattresses. The property sleeps 12 people.
Bathrooms: Main floor bathroom has shower/tub and two sinks. The upstairs bathroom has large tub with a shower on this floor with two sinks and washer/dryer located in this space. There is another bathroom & shower outside/downstairs by the boat dock, so you can rinse the day away before coming upstairs. This toilet area is separate from the shower & the water pressure is amazing! It is like getting a massage. Both full bathrooms have hair dryers.
Kitchen: All updated appliances and cabinets with beautiful quartz countertops. Fully furnished with all the supplies you need to make a large meal for your guests. Lots of serving trays and bowls too. There is a bar area attached with five bar height chairs. The kitchen round table has 4 bar height chairs & there are 2 spare chairs by the wine bar for this table, so they can be used at the bar or kitchen table.
Decks: One large upper deck facing the canal with seating. Great for watching the fish in the green lights at night on the bay. One small deck on front of the house for watching the sun set. String lights upstairs & downstairs.
Boat Dock: The boat dock fits up to a 21’ boat. If you would like to bring your boat, let us know and we can have ours moved.
Extras: Great place for fishing & floating in the bay. There is a large Lilly pad float that can attach to the dock. Lots of floats, boogie boards, 6 kayaks, & Cornhole boards for use. All we ask our guests is that these are washed off & put back after use.
Beach sand castle supplies available.

The Marina nearby has 2 restaurants, store, and bait shop!
There is a community pool & key access to the pier. A guest access pass tor pool can be purchased for $100 at the marina office.

This home and the host are amazing. Everything you need and or would want is there. We’ve actually booked this house twice. Beds are comfortable, showers amazing, fully stocked kitchen. And the outside is just as good. Our dog loves the fenced in yard. There’s corn hole, kayaking and paddle boards to use. A nice grill with great furniture to hangout on the water. Beach access is a couple minutes away. I rent a lot on VRBO, and love trying different places but this gem you will be a repeat like me. AC works great too. The access to a bathroom while you are downstairs is great for those who don’t want to go up. If we could give 10 stars we would.

This is our 4th stay at "Keepin it Reel" and it never disappoints! The house is stunning, impeccably clean, and incredibly comfortable. The A/C in the master bedroom is phenomenal, and the beds are some of the most comfortable we've ever slept in. My husband is absolutely in love with the outdoor shower – it's such a unique and enjoyable feature.
The hosts are amazing, always communicative, and they go above and beyond to provide extras that you won't find in other rentals. The attention to detail and the thoughtfulness in making guests feel at home truly sets this property apart. "Keepin it Reel" is hands down one of the best in Sea Isle. We can't wait to return!

The pictures of the property are accurate and reliable. The house was cleaned and prepared earlier than the check in time and the owners were in constant communication. If you have a family with kids and you do not want to pack up a car load of items for a beach trip, this is the house for you. It was fully equipped with any and everything you could need for a family weekend to the beach. It had amazing sitting spaces inside and out and all of the grilling equipment was high quality and excellently maintained. All of the toys (kayaks, lillipad, crab traps, beach toys) were easy to access and put up at the end of your trip. The inside was extremely clean and well supplied as well, with tons of little things that made the house special. We will 100% be going back to this one.

Our family and bonus kiddos had a last minute Spring Break getaway to this home and it was a perfect retreat. The pictures do not do it justice, although they are beautiful too. It’s a perfect cozy home, beyond equipped for anything all you could need. I am an avid renter on Vrbo and this was one of our best experiences to date in terms of hospitality. As owners of two vacation rentals, we're consistently amazed by the exceptional quality of this place, always surpassing our expectations. We have a rather large family so we also rent the neighboring house, The Merry Yacht. Both properties comfortably accommodating 12 people and are incredibly pet-friendly — they even have a gate between the properties. Undoubtedly, the seamless combination of these two homes, their amenities, and the incredible green light fishing, provides an unbeatable vacation experience in the west end.

This trip was our third time to visit Keepin' it Reel. We were once again reminded of why we keep coming back.The house is superbly equipped indoors and outdoors, offering a multitude of fantastic amenities including green light fishing, kayaks, paddleboard, a float pad, and a diverse selection of beach toys. What a wonderful property. From the decor, to the comfy beds, to the stocked kitchen, to the view - everything was SUPER. And did I mention it was pet friendly? Not just pet friendly … but all the things you need for you pet too. Everything was a short golf cart ride away - but you may not want to leave. GREAT entertaining space outside. There was always a cool breeze and lots of places to sit and relax. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was, without doubt, a 5-star home. The pictures are accurate, which is not always the case in a rental. Standout features were comprehensive kitchen supplies, top-to-bottom cleanliness, a wide variety of water "toys" available to be used in the canal, and, my personal favorite, a wonderfully comfortable deck. We've rented quite a few vacation homes in the past, and the online pictures of the outdoor areas (including furniture) often look wonderful but then turn out to be dingy, dirty, and uncomfortable. This home, from the dockside area to the stairway to the deck area to inside the home, was top notch in both furniture and cleanliness. In spite of heat advisories, we were complete comfortable in the downstairs area even in midafternoon, and once the deck was shaded, that was very comfortable as well. We spent two or more hours on that deck every evening of our stay. Owner was also very responsive to all of our questions, which is always a big plus. Wonderful stay - highly recommend!

We had the best time at this property!! We usually stay on or within walking distance to the beach but decided to try a canal house this time and we are hooked! We had the best time kayaking, paddle boarding, and playing on the water carpet all right outside the door. The mattresses and bedding were so comfy in every room. And the kitchen was fully stocked with anything you might need to cook with. Brian was very communicative and responsive. We will come again and next time stay longer!

First of all I was amazed at how much attention they put to the small details. The location and the house itself was perfect for our family getaway. It is a relaxing and peaceful place. We are very grateful as well that we could bring our dogs and that they were kept safe inside of the gated property.

We rented this house to stay in Sea Isle Easter weekend. The house is awesome! It is comfortable and well stocked. It felt like we were returning to our own beach house! The owners were communicative, accommodating and thoughtful. They wanted to ensure we enjoyed our stay and WE DID! The kids loved kayaking in the canal while the Astros game was on downstairs on the TV. We will definitely be back!

We rent a lot of properties through VRBO, this house was by far one of the best we’ve ever rented. The owners have thought of everything. The beds are extremely comfortable, the kitchen is stocked with top of the line items. There isn’t a long list of “how to turn this and that on” everything is just wonderfully thought out and ready to use. Having a bathroom down stairs to use while your grilling or fishing was so nice. You can really tell from the moment you get there the owners want you to enjoy your stay. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks. We most definitely will rent this property again. We brought stuff for s’mores but they even have that out for us. If your looking at this house go ahead and book it, you won’t regret it. Thanks for sharing your home with us.

This home is spectacular, very clean. The amenities are wonderful - doesn't feel like a rent house. Plenty of plates, cups, coffee mugs, staples, dog water dishes, etc. The dog friendly attribute was a bonus. Our dogs are like family and this host and home is clearly a dog friendly home. That said, you must take care of your animals - pick up after them, don't let them on the furniture - this is how you are "invited back". This is the first dog friendly home that we have rented that didn't smell bad, or where we could tell it was mostly used as a rental property.
The home is on a canal with great water views. The outdoor area has ample seating that is comfortable. We were there during a colder snap so we didn't enjoy the outside as much but that said, the inside was perfect. Great TV with Netflix and other options. Games. This home will not disappoint. The host is very responsive and helpful - one of our best VRBO experiences.

We have stayed at many houses and condos in Galveston through the years but this was definitely the best one. We were looking to get away and relax and do some fishing. We had a bay fishing trip booked but wanted to do more fishing so we booked a canal house. This house is amazing! The beds are wonderful, the kitchen is stocked full of all the items you could need, there are Keurig's on both floors of the house and the furniture is super comfy. The outside area is more than we could have asked for, plenty of room to fish and a TV outside to watch the Astros win the World Series while we were fishing! There is everything needed to fish and all the toys for getting in the water. Neither of us brought our dogs this trip but if we would have known how it was set up, we would have. This home is made for having your pets with you, with the doggie door, bowls and such, and a fenced yard. I don't think they have missed one thing! We will definitely be back!

We have rented many canal houses in Galveston and this one by far was the best! It has everything you could ever need and lots of fun extras to make the stay even more enjoyable. Owners were super accommodating and helpful! We tried to think of what the house could possibly be missing and we could not think of one thing! Again, PERFECT canal house rental. I've stayed at several houses on the island over the years and I have to say this home was the BEST! The communication with the owners was great. The house was beautiful and well equipped with everything we needed. The pride the owners have for this property shines through in the home. The beds were comfortable you don't usually get that in a rental. The kitchen was stocked not only with utensils but coffee pods, creamer, two Kerigs to enjoy coffee in bed upstairs. There is so much to do at the house, you never have to leave. There is a pad to play in the water, kayaks, paddle boards, games inside, corn hole. They have thought of EVERTHING!!! My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at Keeping it Reel and we will surely be back again!

Stocked with Everything you need to relax, cook, grill or takeout and just have fun. Close to beach access and the benefit of being in the marina on the water to fish and kayak. Galveston Getaway-Church Retreat
Overall, this property was fantastic. It was clean, well prepared for our arrival, and had many amenities such as board games, kayaks and tubes, shower products, and much more. The deck was delightful and the dock allowed for kids to enjoy the water. I really enjoyed it.
My only adverse comments would be that while it says it sleeps 12, it likely assumes many married couples in this group. We had a bunch of high school students. But we made do and had a great stay. Would highly reccomend
