Wonderful stay
4.0 / 5.0
House is beautifully decorated. Nice kitchen and bathrooms. Great fenced yard for pets. Just like a lot of Charlestons areas it is a transitional neighborhood but we never felt unsafe. No long list of to do items before checkout. Would stay again.

My family and I enjoyed our visit during the Charleston Open. Perfect home rehabbed with love and care; comfortable, convenient, and clean.
5.0 / 5.0
We came to the Charleston area for a spring break trip that centered around a concert at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center. This was a perfect location. We also explored the Charleston Area throughout the week. It was a great location! The house is super clean and cute! The management services was super helpful and quick to respond to any questions. We were a little concerned about the neighborhood. We just avoided Remount Ave after dark. We would stay here again!

The house was exceptionally clean and quiet. You can tell the owners put alot of time and detail into remodeling and decorating the home. It has a great fenced in area for pets. I would definitely book this property again.

Snag this place if it's available! This property exceeded every single guests' expectations! Truly, the photographs do not do this home justice. The neighborhood and town are still being developed, but we never felt even slightly unsafe. The story behind the home is precious and we're very thankful for the diligence and attention that was put towards the renovations of the house. We will definitely be back here in the future!

Literally everything about this home is immaculate. We go on an after Christmas trip, 3 generations, great grandparents, grandparents, and parents of an 18 month and 3 week old baby. I search high and low for comfort, living space, for gathering at night and snuggling up as a family. This house could not have been a better fit!! So many aspects of home away from home are included here.
Incidentally, we had a medical emergency while we were in town, my 74 year old father fell while walking at Sullivans island on day 2 right after lunch. He has spent vacation at MUSC in ICU. Our remaining family members were able to have a comfortable home base during this time and my mother and I had that peace of mind while we have been at the hospital with Daddy.
All of this to say, Thank You, for a safe space for us in more ways than we planned for Christmas vacation 2023.
Also, Vacasa, has been top notch in communication, responsiveness, and ease of use!!

This property was very clean and roomy. It was only 10 minute drive from downtown and about 30 minutes to folly beach. We really enjoyed our stay. Would rent again.

The homeowners did a fantastic job decorating and supplying this home. It was comfortable, cozy and welcoming.

We were pleasantly surprised walking through the front door. There was plenty of room for our family of 5 and our 2 small dogs loved the backyard. The home had everything to make us feel right at home. We would definitely be back on our next visit. The only downfall is the neighborhood needs help—it seemed like a safe one just run down a bit. The neighbors are great as we got to talking to a couple of them…very friendly area.
5.0 / 5.0
The layout of the home was nice and open. The flooring towards the down stairs bedroom and bathroom shower was a little wobbly but other than that my family absolutely enjoyed the home. The immediate neighbors were friendly and even brought out our trash barrels before we had a chance!
1.0 / 5.0
There are two dilapidated trailer parks at both ends of the street, an abandoned building across the street, as well as an occupied house diagonal across the street that was boarded up. The man occupying that home was extremely creepy and stared at us while trying to get into the home, which was unsuccessful at first try. The Vacasa management contact was rude and had no concern for my son and I’s safety. We did not stay in this home, we never even got into it. The exterior of the home and lot are well maintained and if located in a nicer area would be a really great stay. Still fighting to get a refund since we never even entered the home.

Recommend a safe, dead bolt on front door, lock box key didnt work and no response from mgmt. Otherwise we all enjoyed the home and what you offered. Great job.

We really enjoyed the home, it was very clean and had more than enough room for addiyional guests. The fenced in yeard was great for our dogs. The location was very close to the naval training where our son was graduating. The neoghbor looks a little run down but we could tell it was being updated.

Positive:
Good size for 4-5 people. There were an abundance of plates and cups and standard assortment of basic bakeware and pots/pants. Ease of access to house. Found the welcome binder useful. Lower level looked recently updated. Property management company was very responsive and nice.
20-30 minutes to Charleston city center or Isle of Palms beach. Ok for quick 1-2 night stay.
Negative:
Based on previous reviews and photos, I thought this would be a great place, but our stay was different that the previous reviews.
Location felt unsafe. The large front window and door didn’t have any window treatments for privacy and looked directly into the entire lower level of the house and master bedroom. Although the house had a security system we could use, there wasn’t a sensor on the front door which was the primary entrance of the residence.
For pest control to have come the day before we checked in, we found multiple creepy crawlies -including cockroaches and spiders throughout the house. Walking barefoot through the house, my feet turned black as if the floors had never been mopped.
Outside smelled like sewage the first couple days, but the property management was able to get that quickly resolved once we notified them. Dishwasher had murky water sitting in the bottom of it as if the filter had never been cleaned. Kitchen knives and scissors were extremely dull. All the beds were way too firm for our preferences.
If you stay here longer than 2 days and plan on cooking you will have to bring/buy everything you will need to cook-including plastic wrap, aluminum foil, kitchen towels (or use the bathroom towels) etc., except dishes. Might do a couple loads of laundry- bring detergent. Need an extra pillow or want a blanket that doesn’t seem old/dirty- bring your own.
Definitely some questionable decor/decor placement in our opinion, but to each their own.
I hate to leave a review like this, but we will definitely be staying elsewhere going forward.

This house is clean and decorated well however I would not stay here as the house is literally placed in an area with trailer parks, many houses with bars on the windows and boarded up. We did not feel safe as we approached their was a gentleman laying in the grass doing drugs in the front yard without a shirt. We called requesting to be moved or a refund and was denied. I wish more people would of been clearer about the area. Do you research and look at google maps - especially the church across the street.

It was so nice to walk into a home so welcoming to our family and dogs. It was really convenient to downtown Charleston. Loved the backyard!! Kitchen was well stocked. I would definitely stay here again!

The house is gorgeous. It is well appointed, and every little detail is perfect. The decorations are so incredibly different you will want to check out every nook and cranny. I would like the owner to come to my house and do a "redo". I hate to "rave" too much as I don't want to spoil my "hidden gem". Thanks again for a lovely couple of days break from reality. We will be back.

We were in town for a wedding and stayed at this lovely location. The surrounding area was a little seedy, but the home had an alarm system which made us feel safe. It also had a fenced in backyard that was perfect for our large breed dog. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. It was clear the owners put their blood, sweat and tears into renovating this home and making it comfortable for guests (incorporating feedback from previous posts). The decor was charming and home-like. The place was supplied with enough toiletries to get us over the hump of traveling and settling in. And the beds were just as comfy as staying in a hotel. Also, as a female who wasn’t trying to pack their life in a bag, I appreciated the fact there was a blow dryer, iron, and washer & dryer on site. -Justins wife

Extremely comfortable home. 5 star accommodation. Beautiful home with everything you would need and then some to make our stay special. Very roomy for some private time. Near to stores, resturants. Would definitely stay here again.

House is very clean, the primary bedroom on the first floor was a bonus. The gardens and a grill in the backyard made it easy to relax there. The new paint job on the exterior shows pride in ownership. Sitting on the front porch was relaxing as well. Definitely returning . Highly recommend.

Now I know why o couldn’t get a late checkout. This place is CLEAN. Really clean. It feels twice as big inside as it looks out. The “office” to the left as you come in was perfect for our littles to watch tv and be out of the path of traffic. Not crazy big dining table and space.
Everyone who stopped by was really impressed with this gem of a house. We booked it for our son’s wedding. Will definitely book again when we come back to visit.

If you have always went on trips and stayed at hotels then you really need to try this. It was a perfect location near everything. You have plenty of room and you spend time with your whole family and not right on top of each other. the house was clean and somewhat supplied. That would be the only thing I would change is a little more necessities. I had to buy a few house things to get us by but not that much just a few things. I mean a $5 thing of wash pods etc. Nothing that would make you regret it. All in all something I would most certainly do again as would my family.

Meets all basic standards
I stayed here with my husband and 2 and 3 year old.
The finishes and updates are very nice, especially for the neighborhood which was super dicey. I should have checked Google Maps beforehand, but figured it would be nice at the price point it was at. The house is surrounded by some old trailers, old beat-up homes and boarded up liquor stores and such and there's lots of nighttime activity in the surrounding homes. I felt safer knowing there was a church across the street, but was overall a little on edge and wouldn't stay again simply because of the neighborhood. Everything else was tolerable.
The house was pretty clean, which I appreciated. It was a little tough to have small kids in this house because of the steep stairs with no carpet. We ended up buying a gate and left it for future tenants with small children.
Pros: There were paper goods to get us through the first night, cleanliness was pretty good, updated amenities, 3 bathrooms, close driving to downtown (~15 minutes), beds were really comfortable. They had a little kids kitchenette and simple toys, which my kids thoroughly enjoyed!
Cons: Bathroom upstairs - low pressure, would run out of heat after 5 minutes, no grips and very slippery, sliding door instead of fully closing door, so lack of privacy if staying with non-family. Neighborhood is dicey - worried about all the people hanging out in front of gas stations and liquor stores around, empty beat up homes around, lots of modular homes. Tons of bugs - I realize they get the house serviced for bugs, but there was a pot out front filled with sitting water. so mosquito heaven, 2 large cockroaches in our upstairs bedroom (but pretty normal for summer), The area stinks, not sure if it's the giant plant nearby, but dang it was a stinky neighborhood. We basically didn't go outside while at the house. Steep stairs for small kids - we provided gate, so hopefully still there if you need it.

The house was very clean and decorated expertly. The beds are very comfortable. I enjoyed the front porch in the evening. Neighbors very friendly.

Cozy and Warm
The house has loads of country charm AND is high-tech too! Large big screen tv's, streaming apps, fast internet service, security system, and large cozy bedrooms. Plus, looks like a brand-new GE Profile refrigerator with lots of storage. Ample parking for multiple cars in the big driveway.

Great location
We visited to attend CHS wine & food festival. This was perfect location for Riverfront park and park circle. Very comfy and cozy home!

Nice stay
Nicely renovated home. Comfortable beds, clean, adequately equipped kitchen. Minimal amenities in terms of starter shampoo, sample coffee and one kitchen towel (not ideal for a family who cooks). Master BR closet not available for use so it was inconvenient if you have clothes to hang. Minimal privacy from the street at night since curtains are sheer and main glass door didn’t have a shade. Backyard had full of dog feces which we felt should have been cleared for guests. Not especially convenient to downtown Charleston. But overall we had a nice stay.

Surprisingly disappointing
Property tidy but not clean. The rugs had not been washed; the house smelled like pet urine. I did not feel safe in the neighborhood. I cleaned pet urine from the base boards. Recommend a deep cleaning and the ability to use the alarm system while visiting. Too many sleepless nights during the visit.

This house was beautiful, with many nice touches. It lacked for nothing. The neighborhood was very quiet, and was a mile and a half off of the expressway, about 20 minutes from downtown Charleston. Everything about the furnishings and fixtures in the house was first class, by far the nicest we've ever stayed in. Without a doubt we will stay there again when we return to Charleston!

Impressed
The house was very nice and modern. Location was perfect for the beach and Charleston. Weather wasn’t so good, but spacious, clean house made our stay very enjoyable. Our dog loved it and fenced in backyard was perfect. Friendly neighborhood and able to walk our dog in near by park

This was a great property for a quick girl's trip! The house is so stinking adorable and perfectly clean! The house was well-stocked, comfortable and the check in/out process was a breeze! The only drawback was that most things or areas we wanted to explore were 20-45 minutes away but conveniently close to the airport which was super helpful!

The hostess service was easily accessible via phone and kept up with all communications. Really made us feel welcome yet respected our time.Adorable place with lots of space to spread out. We slept well and had everything as if we were in our own home. Not to mention-the place was CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN!Although the neighborhood has a bit to be desired, the accommodations made up for it. It was safe, the location to everything "Charleston" was perfect and after a long day-it was nice to walk into a modern/cozy/clean house that was relaxing for all!!
