Spectacular place to stay.. make the effort to get up early and enjoy the sunrise. Staff were amazing in pre and post welcome. Were very objective in relation to available tours and happily recommended outside of their own. Particularly in relation to the Wednesday no lagoon day.. definitely worth supporting in the interest of conservation.... very few chose not to from our observation due to busy season !!
Rooms are small which is fine as they are clean and well ventilated even the ones without balconies etc .. a little more space to simply open bags would be welcome. With the room size the critical offset is the outside services ..... i.e. open the bar on the jetty, extend the time and the bar and the restaurant is avail able in the evenings .

The view of the lake from this hotel is the main reason why you should stay here, along with the incredible customer service! The jetty is a great place to relax and get straight into the lake. Alexis was also brilliant throughout our stay and helped us book an incredible boat trip out onto the lake! The communication of the hotel with us was brilliant before we arrived so we knew exactly what to expect. We didn't eat in the hotel but the drinks were always good. The hotel were also really helpful in helping us organise taxis to and from town
The room was small but we knew this before we booked. It would also have made a difference if a big bin wasn't located right outside our room. The hotel is a bit out of town but worth it for the views, and is fine if you're happy to get taxis in and out all the time.

Nous avons passé un magnifique séjour dans cet hôtel au bord de la lagune. Le personnel est charmant, souriant et très disponible. L’hôtel en lui même est très mignon et le restaurant est excellent à un très bon prix.
La chambre (la 11) était un peu petite mais on y est bien et la vue est dégagé sur la lagune, ce qui est très agréable. Pour la literie, le matelas est très mou, ça peut en déranger certains. Enfin la salle de bain, la pression et l’eau chaude dans la douche est fluctuante. Peut être en fonction des autres clients qui l’utilisent en même temps. Enfin pour le bruit de la route, nous ne l’avons pas du tout entendu durant notre séjour.
- L’absence de petit frigidaire dans les chambres. Dans un pays où il fait chaud c’est dommage, mais c’est assez fréquent j’ai l’impression.
- donner plus d’information à l’arrivée. Par exemple il n’y a pas de bouteille d’eau dans les chambre mais il y a de l’eau dans le lobby. Personne ne nous l’a dit.
- ce serait bien d’avoir un bar au niveau du ponton depuis lequel on accède à la lagune. Ou un distributeur de boisson à minima. Ça éviterait de devoir remonter commander.
- il y a encore des travaux en cours et les chambres 9 à 14 ont leur entrée qui donne dessus. Ça n’a pas trop été un problème durant notre séjour (quelques coups de marteaux par-ci, par-là) mais s’il y a du gros œuvre cela peut être embêtant.

Our stay in Bacalar was highlighted by the direct access to the stunning lagoon and the complimentary use of stand-up paddleboards and kayaks, offering delightful ways to explore the beautiful surroundings. The staff's friendliness contributed significantly to the positive vibe of our visit, and the room's lagoon view was a definite plus.
The hotel's restaurant provided a cozy dining experience. Although service was leisurely, it was always friendly, and the food was delicious.
However, it was apparent that the hotel, especially areas like our balcony and the common spaces, could significantly benefit from enhanced maintenance. The worn state of the sun chair covers and various overlooked spots suggested a pressing need for renovations to align with the expectations set by the hotel's pricing. Additionally, there was noticeable construction work near the hotel entrance, which detracted from the overall ambiance.
Despite these areas of concern, the unparalleled view of the lagoon might still be enough to outweigh the negatives for many guests.
Given the hotel's location outside the town center, having access to a car proved beneficial. We highly recommend venturing into Bacalar town itself to experience its vibe and explore a wider variety of food options.

La ubicación es magnifica, las vistas espectaculares...
El hotel es muy bonito, su estilo, decoración, es algo fuera de lo común, muy ambientado a la zona.
El staff muy atento, amable y agradable, muy respetuosos todos. Alex en el Front es destacable su atención y servicio, se anticipan a las necesidades y resuelven.
La comida es muy rica, sabor, porciones y presentación muy bien.
La terraza de la habitación es muy bonita, la habitación es cómoda, la limpieza es buena.
Room service rápido y eficiente.
El espejo del baño podría estar un poquito más abajo, es muy alto.

La proximité avec la route qui rend l'endroit assez bruyant.

Las instalaciones son sencillas y muy bonitas, está en frente de la laguna y puedes ver el amanecer en el muelle. El personal es muy amable y atento. Te prestan kayak y padel para poder disfrutar la laguna.
La vista desde nuestra habitación no era completamente a la Laguna, estaba obstruida por otra parte de la estructura del hotel.

Hotel increíble con grandes y lindos espacios, se nota que le están inyectando capital ya que me comentan ha crecido mucho en el último año. De hecho realizan trabajaos en el Area de la entrada sin duda es un hotel que crecerá de manera impresionante.
Especial agradecimiento a los chicos de restaurante que siempre nos atendieron de manera sublime tanto en desayunos comidas y cenas gracias chicos.
Las chicas de recepción extraordinarias en su orientación, la pasamos tan bien que nos quedamos un día más 😉
Uso de kayak gratis basta con reservar … la mejor idea es hacer a las 6:30 am para no sufrir por el sol, aunque más tarde puedes disfrutar mejor los colores de la Laguna.
-En la habitación que se me asignó sería bueno que tuvieran un Buro para guardar la ropa ya que solo tienen un pequeño mueble donde no cabe todo y hay q amontonar las cosas.
-Durante mi estancia subí desde el muelle hasta mi habitación pasando por el restaurante y la recepción y el dueño encargado gerente o no se quien haya sido estaba regañando fuertemente al personal de cocina (mala imagen para el hotel) considero que esas medidas podrían realizarlas en otras áreas más privadas no enfrente de los huéspedes. 😢

La zona de restauración
Habitación enana y la ofrecen para dos personas y en realidad es para una. Tiene ventanas muy pequeñas y no es nada luminoso. Tuvimos que abandonar el alojamiento el 2º día ya que el primer día hubo un corte de luz de 2 horas y el siguiente de una hora. Tuvimos que estar con las linternas de los móviles adumbrándonos. No nos dieron ningún tipo de solución solo que éramos libres de abandonar el establecimiento y que nos devolvían la parte correspondiente de la noche.

The location was good and with an amazing view to the lagoon. The staff was very friendly and helped us with all our questions, including arrangements for the tours. The restaurant offers very good food and is worth the price. Overall a wonderful staying during our trip.
The accommodation was fairly small, it has almost no space for luggage and the washroom is very tiny. The view is amazing but there are little room to move inside the bedroom. The stairs are very slippery, specially the ones close to the lagoon, which is understandable however there should have more measures to protect guests against falling down.

Beautiful rooms, stunning location, you could stay here a long time relaxing. The staff are all lovely and the food is incredible - we ate at the hotel so much, some of the best food we had in Mexico! try the local dishes!
The wifi wasn’t great but you don’t need it with a view like that!

The front desk staff is very nice and tried the best to help with special requests. the restaurant staff in the morning was also very kind. the view on the lake is incredible
the AC let a lot of water out. since it is above the bed we had to sleep a night in a wet bed. the general areas of the hotel need some maintenance, for the SUPs they only have one paddle, to go with two people you have to use a kayak paddle and knee on the board.

This place and the restaurant the location everything is absolutely fantastic. Just wish the staff was a little more tough with guests who litter by the docks. Not pleasant to see beer cans in such a beautiful place.

The property was beautiful! It was right on the lake which was amazing. We were able to relax on the decks and enjoy the beautiful hotel on the lake. We never wanted to leave! Everything was so close by.
I loved everything about it! Want to go back soon! 2 days was not enough.

To many stairs to get to the laguna. Went their for their great comments on the food however we had a really bad experience with food and service. The burgers we ordered were not edible, old bread and meat was iffy… Check in process was complicated , they don’t give you a detailed receipt of your consumption at check out.When I requested a receipt he wrote it all by hand. The wooden stairs to get in the laguna are very dangerous and slippery , 2 of the 3 hammocks in the water were torn …

Beautiful room! The restaurant is great as well! We had breakfast twice and it was each time really good. Classic Mexican, but also other things. The staff is very friendly and chilling at the lake is great here!

Very good hotel. Service, location, facilities, everything was perfect. Surprisingly there were no mosquitos (probably it is like this at the and of dry season).

The hotel is a blast! It is located a bit farther from city centre, so there is a very quiet vibe and feeling of unique experience. The watercolour is spectacular and all facilities and possibilities at this hotel are great. Staff are very nice and the food in a restaurant is delicious.

Paradise! We had a very, very nice stay here. The staff is friendly and always ready to help you with a smile. The bed is huge and comfortable, even when you’re taller than 1.90. The room is super clean and the shower was lovely and warm. They even had bathing products and fresh towels every day if you wanted. (I think) All rooms have an own balcony with hammock and seats to relax. The hotel has it’s own dock to get into the water and kayaks. The hotel is quiet and away from noise etc. Don’t doubt, just book it. It’s really worth it and you will enjoy and relax :)

- Food is nicely presented and delicious. Lunch/dinner far better than breakfast though, I'm not sure if they have a different chef in the morning.
- The property is lakeside and offers beautiful views
- The rooms are stylishly designed
- We used the free kayaks at 6am for sunrise, which they kindly facilitated.
- They send you a good pdf brochure prior to your arrival with all the activities you can organise through the hotel. Biking, boat tours etc.
- There is a good selection of day beds, sun loungers and chairs down by the lake which is good for relaxing.
- Margaritas and mojitos superb.
- The staff are not unfriendly, but most seem apathetic towards their job and clients and it creates a weird atmosphere in the hotel.
- There are noisy neighbours on both sides of the property.
- Far too much artificial light came into the room from outside during the night, the curtains are ineffective.
- There is a faint smell of sewage that comes and goes. It is strongest as you walk down the stairs to the lagoon... you have to hold your breath.
- Staff don't come down to the lake to take drinks orders. Which is annoying as the stairs up are fairly long.
- They accept guests on day passes, including larger family groups that take up lots of space and make too much noise. Be aware of this if you are a couple looking for peace and tranquillity!

That the room had its own little private balcony.
The deck on the lagoon was clean, well maintained and spacious.
Food was good in general.
Nice and quiet place to relax, have drinks, sunbathe and allows you to bring friends for drinks.
Part of the railings were loose and I feel like it was not safe to lean on and no ad.
When the floor is wet, have to be careful because it is very slippery and no ads.
Also, the staff in general does not pay that much attention to special requests.
There was a wedding party and décor was requested, but the staff did not decorate at the end and it was awkward.
