Nice clean facilities with great common area living space and decks. Easy to be together when you want and have privacy when you prefer it. Beautiful beach and not crowded. Beach side deck is perfect and covered region great for shade and rain. There are A LOT of stairs so if someone has mobility issues this isn’t the house for you. Steep walk over the dune to the beach as well. Living space on top floor optimized the view of the beach. Fishing pier very close by/easy walk. Two outdoor showers were a great option for after the beach. Food Lion, restaurants within one minute but not super touristy, which we loved!

Everyone loved this place! It was much bigger than we expected and quite comfortable for us. the cleaning crew was amazing. Pool table was a lot of fun!

This beach home is lovely. The floorplan is so accommodating for multiple guests. We found that the house had everything that we needed in the kitchen. So nice to have a Keurig in the morning. Beautiful views of the beach and so close to the beach access. Great use of technology in the house, with easy to use guides via the privacy friendly Alexa device. Working while at the beach? There is an awesome desk/workspace where I could close the glass french doors and hop on a Zoom call. The teenagers really loved the loft with the pool table. Loved our stay and we will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our stay! The pool table was great, the house was well furnished, kitchen is decently stocked, and has great bedrooms. We really enjoyed our stay in this house. Great memories were made. I would stay there again if the chance came.

Home was wonderful for family vacation only complaint is just like other previous ones need new NON Stick frying pans badly ! Had to purchase ours for 60 dollars to be able to cook ! Other than upstairs couch’s everything else very comfortable views are spectacular , foot steps to the ocean elderly family members couldn’t walk over dune but there’s a public boardwalk next to house to get out to the beach We will definitely be back 🏖️

Plenty of room for all your guests. Very open, nice layout and fairly quiet for such an open space. Not echoey at all. Beautiful views from many windows of the ocean.

We love to go to the otter banks around this time of the year, less people at the beach and fishing it’s great. We also enjoyed staying at the house.

Oceanfront. Room for everyone both bedrooms & bathrooms. Spectacular ocean view. Well appointed kitchen.

The house was gorgeous with beautiful views and so convenient to the beach. It was well stocked, with pretty much everything we needed. The only issues; the pots and pans were warped and there were many ants all over the house. I have let Vacasa know about the ants (however they didn’t take my name, the name of the house, or anything at all when I called - maybe they could tell where I was using my phone number?) which were, oddly, not in the kitchen but everywhere else - living room, bathrooms, decks, bedrooms, etc. And, unless you are looking for perfection or are trying to make an omelet, the pots and pans are useable.
We enjoyed our stay and would definitely return as I’m sure the ant problem will be taken care of quickly.

The home is in an ideal location but could use some basic improvements. For one, main TV is about the size of computer monitor and Must be upgraded as one can barely see what is on the screen. Investment in pots and skillets would be much appreciated as well as in wine glasses - we had only 6 and each one different!. Other than that the house is very nice (3rd time we stayed there).

This year was the fifth year we rented Argonauta. It was clear the house has aged a ton over the last bit but the location was fantastic and Hatteras Realty was great to work with. The deck facing the ocean was definitely a highlight and having a south facing deck also helped!

Spacious home, very clean, beds were comfortable. AC worked great. Kitchen had everything we needed. Views fantastic. Plenty of porch furniture.
Downside of rental was that the home was not ready until 7:40pm. We were all tired and kids exhausted. Day was over by the time we unpacked. Vacasa did return cleaning fee of $129 and provided money for pizza. They were very apologetic. We looked at contract. Fees are not outlined individually. Hard to believe house cleaning only $129.00. Last year we rented same house and cleaning fee was $329,00. I think rental companies should have to line item the fees. It was a bad start to a family vacation.
On the last day we found black mold on great-room wall by the south facing sliders and light switch. Curtains had been covering it. I looked around and saw mold on wall in loft where it connects to house.

This is an oceanfront property with decks on the east & west sides. The main living space has expansive ocean views with a half bath & queen bedroom, as well as, a den/game room. The four bedrooms located on the second floor level are comprised of two master suites, a bunk room (4) & a queen/twin room which share the full bath in the hall. It accommodates our family of siblings, cousins, nieces & nephews as expected. The kitchen is adequately stocked with dishes & flatware, cups & glasses, 2 coffee pots, a toaster & toaster oven and plenty of bakeware. We have learned to bring our own knives & cutting board to any rental and this is true for Argonauta- there are numerous types but nothing this family of cooks cares to use. The same is true of the pots & pans but there are plenty to make do with for a short stay. This is our second stay at Argonauta and we will be booking our third despite some overdue repairs which we reported during our stay. Yes, this is an older rental property but we understand how some of the needed repairs & maintenance can be overlooked - it’s our responsibility as renters to report any issues so the management company & owners have the opportunity to correct them. Vacasa was responsive to our texts & calls for things like a running toilet, a toilet handle that would stick, a range knob that worked itself loose, a loose picket & a broken picket - all things housekeeping would not necessarily notice. As for housekeeping, we had issues at check in with the level of cleanliness & missing linens and received a timely response from Vacasa. A four person crew arrived the following day - the property received the thorough cleaning it should have the day of check in and we received the additional linens. We understand the business and we were able to work with Vacasa to accommodate our needs and bring obvious old issues to their attention. A maintenance crew was going in as we were checking out today. For those who follow us at Argonauta, we hope you enjoy this property as much as we do and take the time to help keep up with maintenance issues by simply making that call to Vacasa.

Home is just perfect, and wonderful for anyones stay… large or small group/family.
Plenty enough items for kitchen use, not enough towels/oven mits. The home definitely needs deep cleaning with dust on big wall hanging, curtains covered in dust from return vents, most curtain tie back hooks loose/fallen off. We enjoyed the view and the stay! Thank you!

First of all, the view is amazing and right on the beach! Loved how the house was very spacious. I also love the fact that we were near Food Lion and other stores, just in case you needed or ran out of something. We did cook at the home most nights, but a night we didn't we ordered Nino's Pizza, which I recommend for a good pizza place. We were also able to use the community pool, which was located in same parking lot right by Hatteras Realty. Overall I would come back! Very nice location.

Right on the beach and at best part of beach. Close to shops, restaurants, and groceries. Well equipped kitchen. Plenty of room and accommodations for 10 people. We had a great stay.

Beautiful house in a perfect location
The house is gorgeous with a breathtaking view! The layout is great and we loved the tall chairs on the porch. Everything was very well cleaned.
There were a couple of things that could be updated, but they did not affect our stay too much: 1) Dining room chairs are not in great shape, 2) Cookware needs to be replaced, 3) No potholders, 4) Outdoor showers didn’t work, 5) The air conditioning on the top floor with the living room worked incredibly well, but the air conditioning on the floor with the four bedrooms didn’t work well at all.

Great location!
We enjoyed our stay at Argonauta. The house is nicely furnished and comfortable. It’s within walking distance of the Food Lion which is nice. The kitchen was roomy and had plenty of cookware and utensils. My only complaints - the beds could be more comfortable, and the jacuzzi jets need to be cleaned. All in all, we enjoyed our stay atnArgonauta.

Great location
This home was perfect for what we needed. It was a guys fishing trip and this was the second time staying in this home. I liked that they had made some updates since last year. There are a couple areas that could be addressed this trip but nothing major that took away from our experience. The ice box in the freezer was all busted up but it worked for what we needed. The TV in the living room is about to go out I believe. It's kind of fussy looking when watching it. But who goes to the beach to watch TV? Still a great home and thank you for renting/managing it for everyone to use.

Nice ocean view. Needs a few new appliances…the dishwasher is absolutely disgusting…black mold throughout. Broken/unsafe deck furniture. Oh….and I hope you like steps.

Overall review
The location was great the house was not very clean and we felt we had to wash our own bedding the first night. The chairs outside were broken there’s no grill no blow dryer the dishwasher was full of mold. I guess it’s a good thing that we’re pretty easy-going family and we just dealt with it

Location and beautiful home.

We love where the home was located. Expansive decks and several high sitting chairs for the perfect view.
Spacious home with great layout but watch out for spiral staircase near kitchen.
Kitchen had everything we needed except there are no dish towels or pot holders. Bring cleaning products.
Beds were comfortable.
I hate complaining being that I know everyone is suffering getting employees to work this summer. I just want the homeowners to be aware of the situation.
There was barely any cleaning. Certainly no enhanced cleaning.
No useable grill and dishwasher smelled like mold and did not get dishes
With all that said, we had an awesome time and will go back. I hope the cleaning improves. I also hope the owners will look into getting a new dishwasher, and a decent grill. Both Vascasa and Hatteras reality were very responsive.

It was ok
This house was ok and served its purpose. The condition of the home seems to not be declining and there are lots of things that could be updated, one of the bigger ones being the roof. From the outside you can see older layers of shingles in spots. There is some water damage on the ceilings as well. Some of the door handles are pretty rusted and hard to use and some of the sliding doors are very hard to open and one of the screen doors on a master bedroom has a screen that is not actually attached. The deck has some nails that are popping up making it slightly dangerous for kiddos and some of the decking and hand railings have given some of of our kiddos some splinters. The view and proximity to the beach is great and the kitchen is nice except for the fact that the dishwasher has some mold in it.

Love this home
We enjoyed our stay at the Argonauta. The views of the beach are amazing. The house is worth it just for the view. If your looking for an amazing view, easy beach access, a clean place..this is a great choice. It’s also in a great location that’s close to the grocery store and many restaurants. The house is also stocked with books, puzzles, games and much more. We tried to book again next year but our week was already booked. Hopefully we get to see the house again!

This property was great! It met our expectations for location, space, and beach access! They made a good effort during our stay to dig out sand that had been pushed in under the house, opening up access to the outdoor showers. However, we suggest replacement of the dishwasher: the inside is moldy and unpleasant smelling, and we were not sure if the dishes were sanitized. We also missed using the outside grills, as they were buried in sand. Some of the sliding glass doors were difficult to open to the beautiful deck and ocean views. We hope to vacation here again!

House was great, not for everyone.
I loved the house and proximity to the beach. The layout of the house was perfect for us: two families of three, the kids were 10 and 6. The first floor, there is a small foyer with washer/dryer. The second floor has four bedrooms. We loved the dual master bedrooms with attached bathrooms. The mattress in the blue room was very comfortable. The first room on the right has bunk beds and there is a short hall to the left with the main bath and the bedroom with a queen and twin bed right next to the pink master. Upstairs is the main floor, which is spacious and had everything we needed. We brought a Keurig just for personal preference. The kids loved the loft area with the pool table.
The reason I say it is not for everyone is that there are a LOT of stairs. You have to carry supplies/groceries up 2.5 flights of stairs, which is challenging for someone who isn't in great shape or injured. A frail, elderly relative, could not havee managed. The beach is right outside, but there is a very steep hill, level with level with the first story of the house. So, just a warning... most people will have no problems, but injured or elderly would struggle.
The decks were amazing, every room in the front of the house had them. The main decks wrapped around the side and part of the back, which was great in the morning if you needed some shade.
There are some water toys left behind, which was nice, pails, noodles, etc. And the outdoor showers and hose were handy for sand removal. I also saw baby gear like high chair and playpen.
The linen and check-out are not great. When I went to make the queen bed for my son, the mattress pad was stained with either urine or a LOT of drool. The pads stay on the beds, we were instructed not to put them in the dirty linen bins, so I am not sure if/when they are washed. The king sheets had blood stains. The blankets were basically hidden. On day 3, I found a trash bag full of comforters in the bunk room closet. We had been using some thin blankets we found in the rooms. Check-out time kept changing. By Saturday am, the app was telling me to be out by 9am. So can't check in til 5/6, but leave by 9... and they ask if you want a $125 credit to leave Fri by 4pm so we felt rushed to leave.
I am out of space, but those are my main take-aways. I had a great week, loved the secluded area, I found it worth the extra drive time. My injured knee, however, is not so happy. :)

Wonderful family vacation spot
The house was perfect for my family. The closeness to the beach was ideal. The house was not as clean as I expected. The dishwasher was not usable as it was very moldy and there were dirty dishes in the cabinet. There was dog hair on the floor, should have been "No Pets". The baby items need updated. Besides these points the house was GREAT!! We had a great vacation.
