Head down a scenic gravel road to find this completely remodeled, allergy-free, lakefront home nestled in the trees. This gorgeous villa is the picture of luxury and convenience, with hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the back deck. Summer visitors will love spending time on the private beach (on the private and warm side of the lake!) and taking the provided kayaks and stand-up paddleboards out for lazy afternoons on the lake's sparkling water!
Inside, 3,000 square feet of living space spans three well-appointed levels, perfect for families and get-togethers with friends. Enjoying a circular layout around the staircase, the first level is open, spacious, and ideal for older kids to hang out in, with a dining table, a private pool table, and a comfortably furnished entertainment area with a mounted TV and a gas stove. At the far end, you'll find a bathroom featuring a walk-in shower, a vessel sink, and the home's laundry room housing the private washer/dryer. The lower level also has access to a private patio boasting a comfy hammock steps away from the home's 120-foot stretch of private beach.
Head upstairs to the second-level living area featuring access to the furnished deck, a grand entertainment space crowned by a handsome gas fireplace, and lots of natural light cascading through huge floor-to-ceiling windows. The full kitchen is equipped with everything you need, from ample granite countertops to stainless steel appliances, including a French door refrigerator, to turn out tonight's home-cooked meal for everyone. Hot-weather meals are best when enjoyed alfresco on the furnished deck, and you'll even have a private gas grill available to throw a little char on today's freshly caught fish. Let the dishwasher knock out all the dirty plates while you spread out some board games, stream your favorite movies and shows, or enjoy a good film plucked from the DVD library. At the far end of the second level, the front-of-house mudroom has a comfy bench and plenty of hooks to hang your winter-wet clothes on.
Upstairs, you'll find a lofted sitting area with a private library and a Papasan chair. A spacious sleeping area also enjoys an A-frame ceiling, a skylight, and a bathroom with a jetted tub, a walk-in shower, and a skylight. Your summer guests will love the home's central air-conditioning during the day and the firepit for those evening s'mores sessions. When you're not splashing around in the lake, challenge a friend to a game with the driveway's basketball hoop or a game of cornhole. Have a little work to do during your stay? The home's free WiFi makes working and studying from the lake possible.
Coyote Hole Ciderworks is just 10 miles north, with cider-tasting tours, food pairings, and fun events like outdoor movies and festivals!

Loved the house - clean and spacious! Location was about 20 minute ride to restaurants and breweries/wineries. Lake access was perfect for our family to enjoy privacy and try new things, like paddle boarding.
Unfortunately, we were there during Tropical Storm Debby. We lost power around 10pm. House was equipped with four lanterns, however none had batteries. We were lucky our phone flashlights had enough charge to get us through a few hours until power was restored.

We loved the lake house. It had everything we needed....ample kayaks for our whole family. The house was clean and spacious.

The house is spacious and situated in a gorgeous private setting. The views to the lake were better than the photos indicated and the living room furniture was particularly comfortable. This cove part of the lake is exceptionally calm and perfect for fishing and kayaking.

We loved spending our 10-year anniversary at the lake! The house was perfect! It was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The location was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed tims at lake anna and lake anna tap house, both were close by!

Great home, but there’s no boat ramp available on this side of the lake

Overall, I was very pleased with this property. It was the second time that we have stayed at the Hidden Gem and Vacasa. The house is in a great location on the warm side of Lake Anna. It is well maintained and well equipped. It is off the main road a good distance and and has plenty of lake frontage. It was nice they had provided kayaks and paddle boards to cruise around the cove. The cove itself is very quiet with little to no boat traffic. I highly recommend this to a family that is looking to get away from the hustle of the main lake. My only disappointed is that we did not have any access to the community area to launch our boat.

Problems with entry code, weak wi-fi and cold basement.

Wonderful house. Better than the pictures. Only problem was check in . Wrong code to enter given by the management company.

We were fortunate to book this house for three nights during the week so it felt like a private resort. The property is beautiful and quiet. The house is clean and well laid out. We were four adults but could have added another couple comfortably. There are a variety of areas to kick back and relax outside as well. A large back deck (where we ate outside several times), the entry porch, or the boat dock. We loved using the kayaks and the paddle boards. The only disappointing aspect was getting in when we arrived. The entry code did not work and it took several tries before the management company was able to give a code which worked. In addition the Wi-Fi log in and password were incorrect. Luckily some other prior guest had it written down on a card near the entry table. Beds could use new mattresses. Overall we had a great few days and would definitely go back.

Our week at the lake house was absolutely incredible. The property was very well maintained. Our kids had a blast fishing, swimming and paddle boarding. The house is in a very quiet neighborhood that is off the beaten path. It truly felt like you had a great deal of privacy. The house was clean and inviting. We hated that we had to leave, but all good things must come to an end. We can’t recommend this place enough, just a fantastic overall experience.

The drive in is quite lovely, once you explore the house and property it's easy to see it's charm and appeal. A bit of a snafu with the check-in process due to tech issues but fishing on dock made up for it while we waited to maintenance to help us get in. The house is decorated and stocked well, if you're a big cook, the kitchen satisfies everything you'd need to do enjoy those big group meals. The weather was perfect, most spent the day fishing and paddling boarding in the lake, the small beach provided a great spot to sunbathe and wade into the lake. Overall a great house, great service by management and hope to re-book again in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at a beautiful home on Lake Anna. The house was very clean, lovely decorations, all the amenities we needed, and a wonderful view. We had a great time!
4.8
The home was spacious, had modern amenities and the host left clear and easy to follow instructions allowing us to come in and focus on enjoying!

The good: The house and property is absolutely gorgeous. Nice quiet, private lot with room for many outdoor activities. The house is huge with plenty of room for everyone to have their own spaces. The private beach is perfect for the little ones to play all day. 15 minute drive to Food Lion.
The not so good: kitchen is lacking decent cookware and cooking utensils. Pots and pans are in bad shape. Only dish soap for hand washing is provided, no dishwasher soap even though they request you to run the dishwasher at checkout. No laundry detergent provided even though they request to wash the towels at checkout.
Overall though, a great property and would definitely recommend and stay here again!

The house was pretty clean and very well stocked. The kitchen has just about anything you could need— cutlery, utensils, pots, bakeware, and the basics— frankly, a much nicer kitchen than any of us had at home!
The large dining room table was perfect for games and puzzles. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The upstairs was awesome because you wake up to a gorgeous view of a steamy lake and flocks of water fowl!
Service was good— any issues were politely and quickly addressed. We all said we’d love to come back!

Very nice house. Perfect for a weekend getaway. Clean and well stocked with everything. Beautiful dock too!

We had a fantastic trip. The house was clean and inviting. We shared meals at the large kitchen table and enjoyed fishing from the huge doc. Highly recommend.

I usually rent properties not expecting much so we are not disappointed in case they are not as described. Over all though, this house exceeded our expectations! Very clean, spacious, kitchen had just about everything we needed, wonderful views and I could keep going.
The only minor issue we did have was bringing our boat and trailer through the roundabout driveway, luckily my boat was small enough to fit but it was still a hustle to try and make the turn around the circle to get back out. Other than this, I highly recommend this place and we will absolutely be coming back soon!

Our stay was absolute perfection. Cannot wait to return! Listing is accurate, home is gorgeous and clean, so much to do on the property we never left! 10/10 recommend.

We had such a nice time at this house in Lake Anna. It easily accommodated two couples and their newborn babies. The property is clean and nicely situated on the warm side of the lake. We had cocktails on the porch and by the water / dock and used the kayaks. Mainly cooked and stayed at the house during the evening and during the day ventured out to the winery and cidery. We came at the start of the off season and it was so quiet. The pictures and summary of the listing represented the property well. Thanks for a great vacation!

The home is beautifully decorated and clean, with fantastic amenities and lots of extras. You'll appreciate the level of detail with nice to haves: mosquito lamp, citronella candles, high tech swing-out blade ceiling fans, very good kitchen equipment quality and selection (including good knives and rice cooker), dual faucet shower upstairs etc.
Nice water view and access, with a dock and beach, kayak and paddleboard, paddles, and life jackets. One of the best vacation rentals I have stayed in!

Just stayed for the weekend but wish we had stayed longer. The house is beautiful and we took full advantage of the kayaks and paddle boards. The house had everything we needed and then some. Kitchen was very well equipped. Fire pit was fun. Zero complaints. Will definitely be back.

Serene Location
The Hidden Gem house is truly a hidden location. It is a long trip down a gravel road. Locate in a serene cove on the warm side of Lake Anne. My family enjoyed the house which has a great view of the cove. You can watch the family kayak around in the cove while sitting on the deck of the house. Also a great place to watch the sun come up. House was cleaned and maintained nicely. I wish it were more affordable as I would spend much more time at the Hidden Gem

Fantastic
Very little to complain about; the home is as good as shown in the photos. The main fireplace was inoperative at the time of our visit, but all else was great. A stay will be even better in summer months when you can use the outdoor amenities to their fullest.
