About this cabin rental
Stay Glacier Property Management Presents:
Our modern log home, with 4 bedrooms and room to sleep 8, sits right on the middle fork of the Flathead River and is just a quick 10 minute drive from the West entrance to Glacier National Park. It's the perfect home base for any adventure, featuring a hot tub looking out over the river, a fully stocked kitchen, a large family dining table, a front load washer and dryer with detergent provided, wifi, a gear room (for your boots, backpacks, boards, etc.), and a newly remodeled shower in the master bathroom.
We live locally, so if you need anything we're happy to help!
The whole place is yours!
The main level of the home has one bedroom with a Queen size bed, and a full bathroom with a standing shower. The second floor of the home has a large bedroom with a King size bed, views looking out over the river, and its own master bathroom with a newly remodeled shower. The basement level has two bedrooms, one with a Queen size bed, and another with two Twin size beds.
Unfortunately due to the location of our home and the relatively small population size of the area, there are no reliable public transport options. Finding a ride with services like Lyft and Uber may be possible depending on the time of year and weather conditions.
If you're visiting during the Winter months, keep in mind that the snow here can fall fast, so we recommend 4-wheel drive vehicles, although they're not completely necessary. We have a contract with a local plow company, but in case you need to leave before they arrive around mid morning, there are snow shovels for the driveway.
There is now wi-fi , but cellular service is sometimes spotty. The Wi-Fi within the house, while there, should not be relied upon if you plan on conducting work-related or other high functioning activities while on the internet. We apologize for the inconvenience, as this was the only provider in the area for internet.

Perfect place to stay if you want to be in nature and away from people, but still a quick drive to nearby towns and glacier national park! And great view of river!

House is great and in a great location to the park quiet area close to town. The house was very nice and clean. It was probably the most fully stocked rental house me or my family have been to. They also provided bear spray. I read the reviews about the river which made me a little nervous at first considering I have a 8 and 4 year old. My take is that it’s great it’s not steep enough that they could fall off the edge but it is steep enough that they stayed away from it. The river does flow fast it’s not for swimming but you can definitely walk down to it my 60 mother was able to walk down and up it’s just a little steep. Over all it was a great stay if I come back to Glacier I would definitely stay here again!

The host was superb! Excellent and thorough communication! Easy to find cabin and easy to access. The keypad was simple to use. The cabin was immaculately clean and fully stocked with EVERY convenience/supplies. Modern true log cabin with all the amenities and comfort. The cabin overlooks the river and the deck with hot tub was so nice to relax and enjoy the river view. Routine hot tub servicing was so nice - we appreciated that the hot tub servicing was completed at the beginning of our stay and yet the servicing tech was completely unobtrusive and quiet. The cabin location was perfectly ideal in between Glacier National Park and Kalispell/Whitefish - it was about 10-15 minutes from GNP west entrance and about 25 minutes to downtown Whitefish. We highly recommend this cabin!

The living room was upstairs with the master bedroom which we never used. This house is really good for 2 couples with children, as the very bottom floor (where 2 bedrooms are located) feels unfinished where the air conditioning unit is open and the condensation pump loud at times. We had 4 couples and made it work. The beds are very comfortable but some of the towels had holes in them and the sheets worn and stained. The outside area with fire pit and river views are incredible.

Fine location. Nice outdoor spaces.
Down stairs bed rooms need emergency exits, & stairs are sub-standard, dangerous.

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The property is exactly what is depicted in the pictures, and even better in person! The view is stunning, and the cabin and outdoor spaces were fantastic.

The house was very clean with a perfect lay out for our family. I LOVE the revolving food idea. Use what was left and whatever you don’t use you can leave for the next group. House was stocked with everything that you would need. Hot tub was clean. Most of all I loved the outdoor sitting area with the fire pit.

Great property and location. Very clean and hosts were communicative and kind.
8.0 / 10.0
The cabin was nice. We used it to eat (some meals) and sleep. Not a space to spend an entire day. The chairs around the fire pit are broken and there is no living/family room space, just a weird sitting area outside the master bedroom. The hot tub was low on water and smelly and murky the first half of the week. The pictures and description read like you will be on the river. There was a cliff that stood between the house and the river. To get down to the river you had to use ropes and prayers. Not ideal for fishing or wading. Back on the inside, the stairs to the basement are narrow and dangerous (construction-like). The sink by the washer/dryer didn’t work. The lighting in the basement bedrooms reminded us of an office. There was no screen on the bedroom window on the first floor so you couldn’t even crack it for air circulation. Ice maker didn’t work. All the toiletries and “left overs” from previous guests were appreciated.

This rental is a great base camp for GNP! It is about 15 mins from the airport and also about 15 mins from the west entrance to the park! Hungry Horse is a small but great little community, and there are grocery stores/restaurants nearby. Folks are super friendly. There is a train that runs through the area, but other than a tiny little whistle in the distance now and then, that's all we heard (which is not the case with some of the Columbia Falls rentals where the windows actually rattle!). The property/pictures are as described. There is now central a/c which really helped during our visit b/c it was unusually hot with highs in the mid 90s during the day. There were also active wildfires in the area during our stay, but the property manager made sure to post updates at our house (e.g., whether we were in stage 1 or 2 fire restrictions, etc.). If you can, check the rental before shopping b/c you may be surprised how much you find! We enjoyed our stay so much that we re-booked for next year! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is there was a slight misunderstanding with the window blinds situation. I asked before booking if there were any blinds on the bedroom windows due to the fact we're light sleepers and was told there were. Only to arrive and discover there were not. That was a minor snafu, and we just made do. Obviously not too big of an issue as we're staying again next August! Would recommend this property!

The place looked just like pics. We really wanted to spend a lot of time in hot tub (which is reason why we rented the home)and when we got there it wasn’t filled. Had to wait quite a while for it to be filled and hot enuf to use. The comforters need washed (I would not have wanted a black light to confirm my suspicions) for as much as we paid to stay I would’ve expected clean beds. Other than that it was a fun time. Had to request the refund of my damage deposit. Shouldn’t have had to ask for that almost a month later.

Beautiful cabin with everything you need, including lots of bedrooms for the family, absolutely incredible view, a hot tub, complete peace and quiet yet only blocks from the food and other necessities of town. Could not have been more perfect for my family trip.

Had an amazing vacay with this home only a short fifteen minute drive from the Glacier NP entrance gate. The host was spectacular and took care of everything! Peaceful setting over looking the river and a nice view of the sky from the hot tub!

Nice home, great location for GNP, could stand a few more cooking pans but otherwise it was fine.

This cabin was absolutely perfect for our trip to Glacier NP. It was one of the most well-equipped places we’ve ever rented. All of the basics were there and the beds were comfortable. The location was perfect both in terms of being right on the river and the close proximity to the park. I would recommend it to anyone! 5 stars for sure.

This house was amazing! The views of the river were fantastic and the fire pit was perfectly placed! We stayed with friends and our kids- the location was close to glacier and other activities near by. I would love to go back to this property. Managers responded quickly to all questions. This was a truly part of our Montana experience!

Perfect Hiking Getaway
We loved the combination of log cabin with modern amenities, and especially the hot tub with a beautiful view overlooking the river. Lots of trees so plenty of privacy from the neighbors and you feel like you’re alone in nature. Seamless check-in and out, and the cabin was stocked with bear and bug spray, kitchen items, and some games. Very short and easy access to west glacier. We’d definitely come back.
