Breakfast was excellent.
4.3
clean and comfortable. good value for money.
A little far out of Machynlleth.
4.3
Whilst the location was very good, there was little else to be positive about.
Very poor standard of accommodation with a small, very dated room with the hardest mattress I have experienced. The evening meal choices consisted of a basket meal of fried food choices, which were of a very poor standard. Service was impersonal and added very little to what was the most disappointing stay of my entire week at various locations. Not a place I would personally recommend.

location, quiet
meals take a long time when busy
4.3
Warm reception, comfortable room and a great breakfast.
Very limited bar menu for evening meals.
4.3
Really friendly welcoming staff. Lovely bar. Great location. Traditional pub food.
Some minor decoration is needed but don't let this put you off as generally it was fine.
4.3
evening meals in pub good as was the breakfast. staff very helpful. good stop over for those doing Cumbrian Way

The location was lovely, the age of the building meant it was attractively higgledy piggeldy. The young man who cooked and served breakfast was friendly and charming.
We were pretty horrified that dogs were allowed in the dining/breakfast room!
And the mould in the bathroom was also pretty off putting.
The whole place needs a fresh eye to look at the details.
4.3
The staff were really friendly and the food was amazing, the steak I had for dinner was cooked perfectly. Lovely atmosphere in the bar and it was nice to be in a pub with a proper local feel but not feel like the odd one out.
The room was perfectly clean and nicely decorated and the shower was amazing.
The only thing I could say I didn't like was the bed was a bit creaky which did mean I woke up a few times but that's easily fixed with a screwdriver or Allem key.

Fantastic stay here, The owners could not have been more accommodating and the food for evening and breakfast was absolutely delicious. We stayed here whilst riding at Dyfi Bike Park - and will certainly return everytime we go there.
Cannot fault.

Lovely room & good food
It's picky but after a long walk it would be nice to have a bath rather than a shower - I know that is unusual now
4.3
Good location with parking at the side of the property.
Lovely secure garden for the children and dogs to play and to eat outside.
food and service was excellent and as we had to leave early the next morning before breakfast they made breakfast to go for us which was much appreciated
we could hear people in the next room talking until late
4.3
Friendly hosts who were attentive and very accommodating when we arrived earlier than expected and locked ourselves out of a room.
