We liked everything about this property but especially loved the hosts. They went out of their way to help us and make us feel comfortable. I can’t recommend them enough.
Nothing, it was all great but a little hard to find

Jane is a really great host. We arrived very late, but she received us with a great smile anyway.
Peaceful and beautiful location.
The shower should have a curtain or something to prevent water spilling everywhere.

Nice little cottage, clean and comfortable.
Very nice people.
Nice warm shower, this is not so common in Kenya.
There is a road on the back that woke is up. The inventory list with literally every little thing on it is not so welcoming.

Nice big bungalows with shared kitchen in Langata area of Nairobi. It was about 30’ minutes away from city center .Though , it is close to Matbronze café( don’t miss to visit) and the giraffe conservation park(amazing experience). The area is absolutely safe.
The room also was very clean.
The staff helped us a lot to arrange a taxi pick up from the airport and an amazing guide to the national park.
The location is wrong in google maps and even we gave the right directions to uber/bolt drivers , it was very difficult to spot us .It must be resolved immediately because we had many problems with our transportation.
Also, the room was cold and humid during the night. In addition to that, there was noise from wild birds and if anyone has a light sleep may have issues with that.

Beautifully decorated cottages, perfect for a family of 4. Everything is very well maintained and clean. Gardens are very pretty and a great place to relax. We stayed 2 nights and visited the Sheldrick Elephant orphanage and Rothschild giraffe centre. Absolutely loved both. Remember to book if you want to go! Very friendly and welcoming staff, who were quick to provide information, help with taxis etc.

Well equipped and comfortable beds
Very noisy all night long with dogs barking, a road behind our heads, flight path overhead, no roof insulation and other guests arriving at 4am. We didn’t realise we were to be staying in a shared cottage, the arriving guests made a lot of noise and walked into our bedroom at 4am. There was no hot water in the evening because they’d forgotten to turn the booster on.

The property met our expectations and the decor was great. The staff was informative and helpful and cater greatly to our needs. Location was perfect for many of attractions we wanted to do. It was also good to know you had access to a kitchen in the cottage for cooking during lunch and dinner.
Other than the wifi having some issues during a short period we did not have any other issues at the property.

Unreal nice host, delicious breakfast, fully equipped facilities.
The cottage is build with hot weather in mind and during the cold months could be little chilly.

We had planned lots of things to do during our stay at Edaala Comfort. We fed giraffes, saw baby elephants, visited Karen Blixen museum and went to the crocodile farm. All in close distance from Edaala Comfort which was very nice. But one thing was far better (and unexpected) than all of this. Our host Bernard and his family stood out as the best experience by far. They are the most kind, honest and helpfull people. We lost all our luggage at arrival and waited for days for it to come to Kenya. It was a time of concern for the whole family. Mr Bernard helped us and solved all our problems. As he said: "you are in safe hands." My advice = Do yourself a favor and book Edaala comfort. Kind regards Claus from Denmark

This is a lovely small family-owned hotel located in one of the best parts of Nairobi, quite close by car to both the international airport and Wilson. The room was spacious and clean, the bathroom was enormous! We loved the garden. The neighbourhood is fantastic, lots of amazing properties, very safe to walk around.
We had to check out very early, and when we woke up, there was hardly any running water. It was not a big deal, since we only had to brush our teeth. There were a few nice restaurants in the area, but most did not work every day for dinner, so we had to order a takeaway.

Location was like a hidden gem in the middle of the city of Nairobi

Breakfast was lovely. Staff were so friendly and happy to help us any time and the area was relaxing and peaceful during the day
Location was good in that it was convenient for the attractions that we wanted to see but there are some restrictions if you did not have your own transport to access restaurant or food supplies. When you are coming from overseas you do not know the local restaurants and shops etc so it is difficult to book Ubers etc when you don't know where to go but if you have your own vehicle you can simply drive around and take a look. In that way although the location in relation to attractions was excellent, it was a bit isolated if you did not have your own transport.
By the nature of Africa, there is need for security dogs. The Cottage dogs were friendly so we weren't worried about them but some of the dogs in the area were noisy at night. Having said that we were aware that it was a necessary part of life there so if you go into the suburbs to stay , it should be expected.

We had a very nice stay at Edaala comfort. Our room was clean, the property was very nice and we were made to instantly feel at home by Jane (we briefly met Bernard later - he was nice too!). The room had all the items we needed and a bit more if you stayed longer and wanted to do self catering. We only had a quick stay, but could see that it would be a great base to visit Nairobi. The breakfast is lovely too. Would very much recommend.

Edaala translates as home and we were certainly made to feel welcome. Bernard and his staff were so friendly and calming nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was exceptional thank you. The cottage rooms are so cosy and the main house beautiful Shame we didn't get to meet Jane

I loved my stay at Edaala lodge. The hosts was extremely pleasant and the whole place was even more beautiful than I expected it to be. I wanted a comfortable place that infused the African/Swahili culture in its overall look and feel and I got that and more.
I'm definitely coming back next time I'm in Nairobi
