Right on the water and boasting fantastic lake views from the private balcony and living room, this charming home is just the place to enjoy an ideal lake vacation with friends and family. When you're not fishing down at the banks or swimming off the dock, spread out on the home's expansive deck to catch up with old friends over some ice-cold refreshments - you'll love taking in the scenic lake views while lounging in comfy Adirondack chairs. Inside, the home enjoys an all-wood interior with knotty-plank walls and ceilings, burnished floors, and plenty of space to move around. The living area is bright and open and includes comfortable furnishings and a gas fireplace with a large TV mounted just above. The full kitchen has all the appliances and counter space the family chef needs to turn out a world-class meal, and you can serve guests at the handsome dining table while the kids swing their feet from the breakfast bar stools.
Kick up a fire in the private gas grill to throw a little char on today's freshly caught fish or host a family barbecue while the kids romp around. You'll love hanging out to watch a lazy ballgame or your favorite Netflix movies and shows on the TVs whenever you're not enjoying a rented boat out on the lake. Have a little work to do while you're here? The home's high-speed WiFi makes it quick and easy for remote workers and students to complete their projects on time. The baseboard heat will keep your toes nice and toasty while you assemble your fishing gear on those cold mornings, and the private washer/dryer will ensure everyone has clean clothes during your stay, so you can afford to pack light for your trip! After using the provided beach towels to dry yourself off after a good swim, be sure to put in some time with a good mystery novel in the hammock for some serious relaxation. (Just be sure to keep the kids happy and occupied with the provided children’s games!) Afterward, gather everyone around the firepit for an evening of s'mores and some quiet stargazing.

Just wrapped up a five day stay and while this property could use some TLC (fix areas of the dock, deep clean furniture, fix washer/dryer), we would return just because of the peaceful setting and views. If you are going there to work while you play, internet is super spotty. We struggled. This home is within 10 minutes of everything you need for fun. We made some great memories. It is on the small side. We had 5 in our family and it was perfect. We really were only in the house to sleep. One more note, if you have a tough time with stairs, this is not the home for you. There are about 30 steep stairs to get to the front door and more than 40 to get down to the dock. If you are in decent shape, no big deal.

it was a great house for girl's trip.

We loved the views, deck, side yard, dock, trees and privacy. And we really loved that there were two good kayaks to use; they made our time there twice as fun! Lots of swimming and water fun, and it was very quiet and peaceful. It's a classic, charming old school lake cottage, exactly what we were looking for. Too bad there aren't many places like this left.
There were many stairs, but they are in good condition. Would stay again if we're in the area.

Good location and great visit

When we arrived the refrigerator was not at a safe food storage temp. It was at 47 degrees. We had to store our perishables in a cooler-which meant we couldn’t take out cooler to the lake. The dock has several broken planks, deck railings are about to fall over and stair railing outside need to be sanded and painted. You can not hold them I fear of splinters. Couch in the upstairs is super old and stained. Overall it just needs some TLC and it would be worth the price or more. In its current state it is not.

Close to silverwood.

We really enjoyed our stay on the lake. Location was awesome. The house was clean. Needed a few more kitchen items like a toaster for breakfast and more BBQ utensils. Outside the cabin could have been tighten up a bit with some maintenance.

The home was very cozy and just the right size for 2 (+ kids if you have them). The view is the best with lots of windows to enjoy the lake. A large deck to sit outside with a fire is another great feature. It is very private and has a large area for an outdoor BBQ.
The only drawback for me was the narrow steps to get to it, as I walk with a cane but I would still stay there again! I hope its available next year because we'd love to stay again!

This cabin has all the feels of what a lake cabin should be. Between the private dock and outdoor living area, the only time we spent inside was to sleep and prepare dinner before it hit the grill.
I highly recommend staying here for a quiet, beautiful weekend.

This spot is beautifully private. The home is simple and quaint. We enjoyed it immensely. There was a great place for our two little dogs to be outside besides the enclosed deck. We enjoyed several walks along the quiet road as well.

My wife and I had a “honeymoon” type adventure that rekindled our 12 year flame! Beautiful views, warm, cozy feel, music and nature, great local restaurants and wine! Wonderful 9 days of peace!
Stairs are a challenge on the way home, makes you want to extend a view extra nights just to not have to carry your luggage up them.

Liked the location and quite house on hayden lake in the fall. The fireplace is a great feature for cold evenings.

This is a lovely spot, but it would really be nice if the amenities listed were accurate. We would have been more prepared and brought the necessities. Somewhere on the listing it needs to say that you need to bring your own drinking water--at the very least it needs to be in the email sent the day before. We came all the way from Portland, Oregon and had no idea you couldn't drink the water. The first thing my daughter did was drink a glass of lake water. This is a serious safety issue. I would really go after you if she had gotten sick, luckily she didn't. Then we had to drive back to town the first night we arrived to buy water, only to find there isn't a coffee maker, only a kerig. We are big coffee drinkers and there was no way to make coffee with our fancy coffee grounds. You need to specify this on the listing. The next morning after trying to pour hot water over the grounds we drove back to town to buy a coffee maker for the rest of our stay. The house sleeps 9 but has 5 coffee cups and 7 forks. The dishes in the cupboard weren't clean so we had to wash them before using them (which I don't blame the owners for, it was the last guest), but there are only 2 dish towels and they are polyester. This means they didn't dry the dishes, and if you tried they left little blue bits of fabric on the dishes. If you just left them in the dishdrainer, little bugs got all over them when they dried. The fireplace didn't work, super bummer as it got cold that week. Bring everything!

This is right on the lake with a personal dock. House is cozy with nice amenities. Wonderful sitting area under the trees. Main bed was not that comfy for us.

The description failed to mention (or if it does I missed it) that you have to go down TWO steep sets of stairs (14 steps, and 12 steps connected by a sloped landing) with an overall elevation drop of about 30'.
At 73, and having broken both ankles in the past, hauling our luggage down was hard. Hauling it back up was brutal.

The views were spectacular. Am hoping to rent this space again this summer.

The location and the privacy it provided was perfect to escape the city and any daily grind. Loved the fireplace and the upstairs area. The downstairs part is the really rustic area of the home. Very cold and no heat source I could find to heat up the bathroom. Upstairs bath was acceptable.

Gorgeous lake view. Beyond that totally disappointing on all fronts. Accessing the house is very difficult. Very long and narrow stairway with small steps to reach the house. Good luck getting your luggage down here. Top narrow for suitcase. They should have a warning especially for older guests. Very Basic sanitary and hygiene procedures were not followed. Couch smells, probably dog smell. House overall is quite dirty. Towels were wet. No closets to hang outfits and no clothes drawers either. Second bedroom bedsheets were not washed and also smell like dog. Woke up with an itch and a couple of red bumps on our skin. We have to wash the sheets today, if we find detergent. Guess what? Washer doesn’t work. No kidding.
No dishwasher either. No kitchen towels. No toaster. No wine glasses, no wine opener, no cocktails glasses. Reached for a fork, it was dirty, sticky and had hair on it. No kitchen trash bags. Barbecue is filthy, can’t use it. We brought our coffee, but couldn’t use it, only a Kerug machine. Not a single Kerug pod provided at least to cover us for our first morning. Loud pump or some equipment behind locked door right next to main bedroom operating on and off all night. Difficult to fall asleep. Internet very slow. Sometimes no coverage. Often our devices were kicked off the wifi network.
Thanks to Carlos and his associate. They showed up with clean sheets and kitchen towels. They worked on the washer. Disassembled the control board and tried to fix the electrical. It still didn’t work. They will call Lowes to see if they can fix it. Of course, Lowes never showed up. Carlos offered to refund the cleaning fee.
Check in at 4 pm. Checkout at 10 am. Yet, Owners expect us to start a load of laundry before we leave. How ironic!Tried to get one hour extension for check out. They wouldn’t grant us even half an hour. The excuse was the cleaning service will arrive at 10. We are certain this house was NOT cleaned before we checked in. Overall, a bad and relatively expensive experience at $500 per night. Very disappointing.

The home had a wonderful cabin feel. Perfect staycation for my family. We really enjoyed the fireplace and views of the lake during Winter.

Internet didn't work, washer didn't work. I pulled into the private driveway and someone left a steel plate with railroad steak in it laying in driveway. It ruined my tire and tire places were closing Saturday until Sunday. If I owned this place I'd get rid of rental company

This house misrepresents it’s size and condition with its pictures. It is extremely small and not very clean. The water pressure was so low we had to move out after the first day. We could not take a shower and rinse off much less wash the dishes with hardly any water pressure. Also, there was no mention about the extremely steep long stairs leading from the parking area to the house. The stairs are dangerous and especially for children. This house does not look to be maintained very well. Internet was slow. The bathroom had a sink the size of an RV sink with the mirror blocking half of the 8” sink. Toilet would hardly flush. We called and were told this was the normal lake fed water pressure after sending a video to the maintenance person. It was very disappointing and very inconvenient since we had flown in from Texas and traveled all day the day before. We had to pack up and carry the luggage up the very steep stairs to leave. I can’t see how this could be done if there was any ice or snow on the stairs. The rails were built out of code and you would have to bend over to hold onto the top rail. Lastly, when calling the host, I was routed to a foreign customer service representative who just took my name and information.

My wife and I rented this cabin for a week and it was so peaceful we wanted to stay! Next time we plan to use the lake more and maybe rent a boat to keep in the slip.

We enjoyed our stay, wished we had longer. Cabin with bunkroom was perfect for our family and 2 fur babies.
The pictures show the stairs going to water and a little of the ones from parking down to cabin. However we didn't realize just how many, lol. If you have knee issues or health issues these might be a concern. There is 2 sets down to cabin, and many down to water. There are platform spots to stop at. Just plan to take what you need when going down to the dock. There is not a beach, the hang out is on the dock. Worked perfect for us.
The cabin had no ac, but there were fans and with windows all open there was good air movement. We loved that there were no mosquitoes!
NOTE there is not a coffee pot, only a kuerig. That sucked as I didn't know so didn't buy any k cups for trip.
Kitchen stocked well with pots/pans, plates, bowls etc. But some key items not there were steak knives, tongs/bbq utensils. There also were no kitchen garbage bags ( luckily had some in our stuff). The coffee pot it lack of was the most problematic that should be included in the posting of what's included.
That all said we would come back...it is a great little beach cabin, and we wanted beauty if the lake more than the cabin.

Beautiful view but inaccurate amenities
We had booked this for a long weekend with our dogs. While the view from the deck is beautiful, the listing contains some inaccurate information. I was told Vacasa was updating the listing 2 weeks ago but since it hasn’t been I thought I’d share for other travelers.
There is no paddle boat available for use and Vacasa confirmed there hasn’t been for quite a long time. The washing machine was broken which was a big negative for us as we had been traveling and we’re relying on this amenity. There is no toaster in the home. I had also confirmed with Vacasa prior to our stay that yard was fully fenced as we needed that for our dogs. However, the yard area is NOT fully fenced.
We ended up cutting our stay short due to the above that just didn’t work for us. Vacasa was very responsive in addressing our concerns and offering a partial refund.

Our stay at the Lake House
Rustic, clean, comfortable cabin that brought back a lot of memories. I think if it was a little warmer ( we stayed in early Spring) we could have taken advantage of the amenities offered. We would rent again if we make another trip to the area.

Fun Family Weekend
We were very pleased with our recent stay at the Hayden Lake Cabin. The cabin was clean and cozy and the view was gorgeous. Comfortable beds and great downstairs bunk room for families with kids. Nice private outdoor area. Would love to come back again when the weather was a little warmer.

Great little lake house
The place was great, clean, well stocked and cute. Things to note are there are a TON of stairs and steep, so be able to get up and down without concern. The downstairs gets cold, you will need the space heaters. We saw a bit of house ants and carpenter ants, but that's manageable. I would come back.

What a wonderful place!
This home on Hayden Lake is a wonderful choice for a family get away. We stayed two nights and would’ve loved to stay longer! The house has been updated and remodeled with attention to modern upgrades and maintains its homey charm. There were a couple of drawbacks. The heat didn’t work in downstairs bathroom, very cold in December, and the mattresses are all encased in plastic mattress protectors which are noisy to sleep on. The beds were comfy aside from the mattress protectors. There are lots of amenities for summer time use that we didn’t take advantage of during our stay but looked to be of good quality. We would love to come back and spend some time at this place during the summer time!

Beautiful cabin that feels far away but close to amenities
Rustic cabin with amazing views! It was cozy and we loved waking up to the view!
Heads up, there are A LOT of super steep stairs. We traveled with our kids and dogs so there was so many trips while we unloaded and packed.
There are lights to keep them illuminated which is nice. If staying in the winter inquire about additional blankets, there were not extra but the property manager was super kind and roughy us Some. Overall, we would totally stay again!

Beautiful property
The home was beautiful and location amazing. However, 30 min before check in we got a call that the property wasn’t cleaned yet and we needed to check in later…. But not given a time. We sat around waiting for the cleaner to show up before we could check in. Cleaner only took 20/30 minutes. House wasn’t a mess but definitely wasn’t very clean. We ended up checking in an hour and 1/2 after original check in time. House was also unlocked when we checked in. All of that aside, it was beautiful and very relaxing.
