Spend your days exploring the spacious grounds bordered by two babbling creeks and enjoy your evenings snuggled in luxury. And if you're a guest of the nearby wedding venue, this home provides the perfect space to prepare for and rest from the big day! There is a gas BBQ grill provided.
When you first arrive, the rustic log building envelopes you in memories of summer camp. But don't let the campy charm fool you; this fully upgraded cabin was crafted to give you all the comforts of home in country style while providing space for everyone.
Upon entering through the historic Coeur D' Alene High School front door--salvaged and carefully restored to add charm to the front porch--you'll find the home's brightly lit great room. This open space comes complete with hardwood floors, a leather sofa, a bar top table for four, and an island with three stools. The fully renovated kitchen feels inviting yet spacious with stainless steel appliances, a large copper sink, and beautiful wood cabinetry. With ample lighting and crisp quartz countertops, meal prep is a breeze without missing a beat of the conversation.
Pass the wood stove around the corner where you'll find the log room-- a 100 + year old forestry building relocated decades ago and freshly restored to reveal a historic and entertaining space for the whole family. Whether you're in the mood to relax with a movie or challenge your opponent to checkers, this space doubles as additional sleeping with two futon options--one full size and one twin.
Across the hall, the master suite awaits with a queen bed, ample storage, and a space to sit beside the windows in a cozy leather chair. The attached bathroom boasts a sunny vanity, charming honeycomb tile, and a shower/bath combo, perfect for an evening bath.
Journey back through the great room to the other side of the home where you'll find the next two rooms, one with a queen log bed and the other with a bunk. This kid-friendly room boasts a full mattress on the bottom, a twin on top, and a twin trundle with room to spare. Across the hall is the second bathroom with a large river rock tiled shower and a well-lit vanity for easy morning prep.
As you exit the home through the back door, you'll pass the dining room for six beside before finding the picture-windowed porch where a washer and dryer await all your cleaning needs. Linger a while here and catch a fresh breeze while a foosball table provides hours of entertainment. To find even more space, pass through the large carport to find the studio, an unconnected space with two full-sized futons and a large TV with DVD player, a collection of DVDs, and a retro Atari system with plenty of old school Atari games, perfect for entertaining, finding solace, or housing a few extra guests.
With the Marie Creek delineating the property on the south side of the home and the Wolf Lodge Creek running through the backyard, you'll feel one with nature as you enjoy the tranquil water and peaceful pines. Picnic with the family, watch for wildlife while the dogs run around, or enjoy the screened outbuilding in the summer months where quiet reading time or afternoon tea beckons you in for a blissful afternoon.
Marie Creek Horse Trail is also just a few minutes down the road for Hiking and Horseback riding. Going further out Marie Creek Road there are miles and miles to explore on your ATV / UTV. During the winter months, you can enjoy the many trails for snowmobiling and you’re a short drive from the Fourth of July Pass recreation area that has groomed trails and also miles of trails for snowmobiling & ATV / UTV’s!
Tucked in the quiet Idaho hills, Creekside Cabin is just down the road from The Willows at Wolf Lodge, a charming rural wedding venue that hosts dream outdoor weddings in a breathtaking, private setting. You'll also be minutes from the famous Wolf Lodge Inn and Steakhouse, and a short drive down the highway brings you right to Lake Coeur D' Alene or into downtown Coeur D' Alene, making this cabin the perfect blend of "out in nature" and "resort town access."
Bring everyone together for a memorable vacation in this one-of-a-kind North Idaho cabin!
*This home has WiFi service but the location makes cell service limited, so there is a landline located in the great room near the front door.

The cabin was clean and comfortable for a family of 8. Grandparents, children and grandchildren. The yard of the cabin was amazing - deer and turkeys, the gazebo - quiet and gave you a feeling of being secluded but close to CDA. We miss having morning coffee on the picnic table. We would definitely rent this cabin again. Thank you!

This cabin had 5 different rooms that allowed four couples and 6 kids stay comfortably and have fun. The property is very clean and comfortable. The creek runs on the edge of the property, just a few dozen steps away. Lots of trees and shade. We didn’t see or hear neighbors nearby. We spent a day and a half enjoying the creek, foosball table, and other things. We spent a day at Silverwood theme park, but easily could have spent two days there. We enjoyed Lake Couer d’Alene. Lots of fun things to do there. The city itself had a great atmosphere with lots of shops and restaurants. We hiked and took a lake tour, which you can do on a cruise ship, seaplanes, or paragliding. Lots of fun. Strongly considering a return trip. The only thing I’d say you’d want to consider is that there are 2 bathrooms and that having 14 people there got a little crazy at times. But a little planning and flexibility kept it from being an issue. Our dog enjoyed it too.

Overall we had a great time. Would have been nice if you added some yard games. Paper products such as toilet paper were short supplied. If we knew, we could have brought some from home.
Thank you so much.

Perfect location near hiking trails and close to city for shopping, activities and restaurants.

It was very good the only issue we had is thier was no service. So when we got thier we could not connect to the wifi yet or click on the link for the door code so we had to drive back to the freeway to be able to get the link to load. The house was very nice though very spacious. Everyone was complaining about being hot though.also the creek in the back isnt really able to be fished in very shallow water so that was dispointing for my kids but overall it was a nice house.. ps the red barn petting zoo in town is a great experience for small children.

The place was clean and well stocked. It would be good to leave instructions as to how to use the air fryer in the oven.

This cabin and property is beautiful! It is clean and well stocked with bedding and kitchen necessities. The grandkids loved exploring the property. The deer visited almost daily, along with wild turkeys. It was truly a relaxing vacation in a gorgeous setting and I'd love to return to this cabin the next time we come to Idaho. The staff at VRA were all very helpful and courteous.

We are from Texas and enjoyed escaping the heat. The cabin was quiet and we took morning walks before exploring northern Idaho. The area is beautiful and we will probably be returning next year.
Thank you for helping us have a great vacation.

This house was perfect for our group of family and friends. Location is just far enough out of town but not too far. Creek was great for the hot weather we had while staying! Will stay here again.

The layout of this cabin was fantastic and met my extended family’s needs perfectly. We all loved the outdoor/indoor shed by the creek and enjoyed walking the area. We struggled on two occasions with the icy roads despite learning to drive in North Idaho winters! Luckily a friendly neighbor came to our assistance (owners of Wolf Creek). We also would note the need for some written instructions to get the heat on (we figured it out eventually) and a few things (like candles and matches) if the power goes out (luckily it came back on for the majority but I did struggle a bit to get off to the airport in the light of my cell phone). My mom also wanted to note the beds were very soft (other than the futons). The furnishings allowed for cookie making and great family meals. Overall, it worked great and was so affordable for a party of 11!!

There were only 3 of us seniors so we didn’t get the full value of the rental. Super place if you have a few teenagers, game room with foosball and a separate studio area with futons and a BIG gaming tv. Communication was very good. However I wish we knew to take firewood, the closest store was about 15 miles away through a blizzard. The forced air heat was sufficient but we wanted a fire. Too bad the fire stove isn’t in the one cabin-y room. Great kitchen lots of utensils, hot pads etc, beautiful sink almost too nice to soil. Lots of counter space and a nice big island. The new appliances are nice but the gas stove has the wrong jets so the smell of raw gas when you use the oven or broiler is in the air, and the cooktop soots the bottom of the pans. Linens were nice, a rug or bath mat would be nice in the bathroom closest to the carport, very cold tile floor to step out on from a gorgeous rock tiled shower. The parking is great, views were nearly totally blocked with ice cycles. The pipes froze the last night we were there. No showers in the morning, or toilets! Take drinking water too, the tap is pretty cloudy, not sure the source. All of this said, we would stay again if it weren’t for all of the high booking, cleaning and pet ! fees. We could have stayed at the Coeur d’ alene Resort for less.

Rare find. Beautiful cabin and surroundings.
Very impressed by this property with lots of room for extended family. Quite comfortable. Terrific yard area, but recommend adding at least one additional picnic table and lawn chairs. Also, the land line was referenced in materials, but no number provided and phone and no dial tone. Overall very pleased with this VRBO!
