Beds were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean, although the toilet was difficult for a man to use due to the sloping ceiling. There was ample breakfast.
Room smelt as it if had been shut up for months. There were cobwebs by the window. The fire escape door from our bedroom (on the 2nd floor) was insecure. The rear entrance/fire escape on the 1st floor did not close on the closer and was often left ajar; also any bedroom door key woulf fit it (were all the bedroom door keys the same?). Only large plates were available for breakfast on the first morning, with no side plates for toast. Only small plates were available on the second day even for the cooked breakfast. On both days the plates were cold and the cooked breakfast only warm. The front door was locked at 10 pm and no key was provided to allow guests to return through this entrance at a later time. We had booked for three days, but left after two. The accommodation was priced above the average price of a good three star hotel, but offered less than two-star value.

Clean very good amenities in room
Very friendly staff

The breakfast was excellent and more than I expected. The room had everything I needed and the bed was very comfortable. The person in charge was very polite and eager to please.
There was sufficient parking on the night I stayed but perhaps it was inadequate on a busier night. The staircase was narrow and steep. Fortunately, I am still fit enough to walk up it - but it is a historic hotel so the staircase was part of its character.

The apartment was excellent, the receptionist was really nice and we enjoyed breakfast. It was really good value for money.

Covered everything I needed
Car park was a little small/tight

Very comfortable room, good food, well positioned on my route. The staff were very helpful when I needed help with some troublesome luggage on my Motorbike. The required tools were provided, along with practical assistance.
The low doorway to my shower room was difficult to navigate without catching my head.

Helpful staff
No food at night and continental breakfast ( which was too late for our early start at 7:00 am.

The location was good. Located in a small quiet village
It was small especially the size of the bathroom
8.0
It was a continental breakfast and the choices were excellent but, the fact that it was a continental breakfast and not a full british should be made clear on the booking form.
The room and onsuite were very clean but very cramped for a double for the price.

It has been recently refurbished and decorated.
Stairs as we were elderly.

Location. Room was clean. Varied choice of rooms
Fire door was left propped open all day and until late at night allowing anyone access from the street (and room keys were normal keys and therefore easily copied). Did not feel secure.
Fire escape was only access in the evenings as door to main building was locked (supposedly after 11 but I couldn’t get out at 9pm when I tried). This would be only access in case of fire too and was a crumbling concrete set of stairs. Not ideal with young children or elderly.
Daily housekeeping did not clean crumbs off bedside table, empty bin, remake bed or replenish biscuits. I could only tell they had been because the duvet had been put over the bed and the coffee was replenished
Very disappointed and will look elsewhere next time

We were made very welcome by the new owners and the manager. I had a broken arm so the manager very kindly moved our room from the 2nd to the 1st floor. The continental breakfast was very good. The room was clean and comfortable.

Lovely stay
1/2 cup of coffee for breakfast, no coffee left for guests.

We had a fantastic stay at the Crown Hotel. It's a historic and charming place, the rooms were warm and super clean, and the beds were super comfy. One of our bookings was the Studio Apartment and I was pleasantly surprised at how big both the rooms were and that they both had ensuites. Breakfast was nice and the staff are all very lovely and welcoming. Corwen itself is small and quiet but there are a few restaurant options for dinner and a lovely Estate and farm shop very nearby. Will definitely stay here again when visiting North Wales!

Great place to stay would definitely stay again

Convenience food served. Mass cash & carry shop obviously carried out.
Everything. Bedroom so small couldn’t get around the bed easily. Shower room so small knees wouldn’t fit under wash basin. So low you could only see your lower body in the mirror. Windows in poor condition. Old sash style with a double glazed unit poorly fitted on the interior.

The room was clean
The proximity to the main road and traffic noise

Continental breakfast was exactly as described so no complaints at all.If cooked breakfast required a couple of cafes close by.We had rooms 2,3 and 4.They were extra large rooms and room 2 had 2 bedrooms and 2 en-suite showers.
The bathrooms have been refurbished nicely but lack any shelving to put toiletries on.
5.0
Continental breakfast. High Street location - parked on road. Tiny room with small ensuite.
It wasn't much to be fair, so a better room, better bathroom facilities, full breakfast, bar etc but what do you expect?

Lovely hotel, very quiet location despite it being next to the main road. We’ve only seen one member of staff and it was a young man at the reception. Very friendly and made us feel welcomed. The room was very clean and spacious. No issues with parking. Lots of lovely places to eat within walking distance
A little bit cold in the room.

it was quaint with lots of personality.
