Very nice place to have a rest after a long drive. Great distance between the cap sites so you won't be bothered by other campers. Good toilet and shower. Very affordable compared to other campsites in the region. The main building/ reception looks gorgeous and has a swimming pool. Camping ground is on the sand, but feels very clean and comfortable.
A little too far from Chobe north gate. Available tap water is a bit salty.

Hieny!

I loved the location! 1 hour drive to Chobe National Park or Moremi, it's only about 30-40km but the roads are heavily corrugated and in bad condition once you leave Maun.. Anyway easy access to the parks and the Khwai area. The campsite is unfenced and wildlife roam freely, it is safe though. The setting was lovely, secluded campsite, peaceful and clean ablutions, no hot water showers, however, they have those overhead portable shower option where you can boil water and pour it in there to have a hot or warm shower. The water is not drinkable, come prepared.
The owner/manager Mr Johan if I'm not mistaken his name was, was so helpful with his advice, came out of his house at night to meet me at the reception to advise me on a shortcut or easier way to Moremi for the next day.
The staff were very friendly and helpful too.
I would definitely visit again! My family loved it too.
Not sure if the water is borehole or from a tank but it's not drinkable and quite slimy, salty too.
I also felt it's quite pricey for a campsite with no facilities or hot water but the location is great so I guess they can call the price they do, I believe campers may use the pool, not too sure, we didn't have time.

Absolutely amazing campsite with privacy. At the main facility beautiful scenery, with waterhole views from the pool. Nice relax zone. The food was also delicious!

dinner in the restaurant was very good - the way to the restaurant is far, someone picked us up
no hot water from tap available.
The water was not running because the personal didn#t open the valve of the tank, even when we asked if the water is working

What a stunning campsite! space galore. and restrooms right there. How could anyone ask for more?
As a property butting up to Moremy game reserve and being a “ big 5 reserve”... why don't you hear any big game noises at night? no lions growling or hyenas laughing or elephants pushing down trees?

It's the best camping in Botsawana. Organized, with services, clean toilets and with exceptional helpful staff.A five stars camping, it's just one hour from the Main Gate to Chobe and 1h 45m from Khwai
During the night you will hear elephants eating and walking , but it's included in tjis experience of self-drive safari. And for sure, it's more quiet and sure than other campings.

Salt water for the shower and taps

We were in the "camping site" : No electricity, no fence (Just in the middle of nothing), no current water (to have shower we should have filled a bag Upon the shower), only a bathroom (no light inside - toilet flushing working as the shower) and a fire place in the ground. Very far from the reception and very expensive compared to no service ad all.
We didn't spend there the night, we went to another camping.

We've stayed at the camping and the tent, and both were great! Camping was the best we had in Botswana and the tent was just what we needed after 20 days camping. Food is great and staff and owners are so friendly! I 100% recommend a stop for a few days at this lodge!
nothing, everything was perfect :)

we stayed at the tent campsite, which is 3 min of driving from the lodge. campsite is huge, nice and clean !
we had dinner and breakfast at the lodge, superb !
The manager Johann was so kind to help me out with 20 l of diesel, thanks !
If you come from north, dont listen to Google maps, dont leave main road, go straight, then turn to the Mankwe lodge.

This is a wonderful place with great facilities. Spectacular views, the caretakers and staff are incredibly friendly and go out of their way to help you. The lodge is located right between Moremi South and North gate, perfect to travel to both gates or the Chobe entrance. There are two pool areas, one overlooking the surroundings with a (natural) pool in front of it with regular wildlife visits, a bar and the sunset at the end of the day. It has a cozy lounge area next to it with a lot of privacy. The second area has a bigger pool annexed to the restaurant (with tasty food) and some lounge areas. The camp sites are a couple of minutes drive from the lodge, offer a lot of privacy and are also very convenient to stay with a group. They offer a private bathroom (or two annexed), toilets and fireplace (for BBQ), all amenities are very clean and you get the chance to experience wildlife first hand, which is exhilarating!! We felt safe throughout our stay and the staff was super attentive, bringing more wood for the fire in the evening. The lodges also look beautiful and there’s a walking bridge that connects all areas. A special thank you to Jolande and Johan for the warm welcome, chats and tips. Go and experience it, you will not regret it!
You will find it on Google maps and if in doubt, ask for coordinates for your GPS. the roads are sandy and require a 4x4, but so do all roads around between the parks…

The very warm welcome from Johann and wife even though we could not let them know that we would be late. They not only waited for us but escorted us to the campsite and even lit a fire! The incredible natural beauty and closeness to wildlife.
While it is none of their fault, the road from Maun is in an abominable condition.
