Quiet location. Very clean accommodation
Nice restaurant with good food
Breakfast left in fridge was very minimal with poor range of cereals and otherwise only yogurt and fruit juice.

Beautiful pods - felt like they were brand new! Perfect for our stop over on the way to Devon. A small continental breakfast was included (which we weren’t expecting) which was a really nice touch.

Great service, the room was very clean. Staff were very friendly and we had lovely time at the local pub

Checked in and shown to our pod, had a lovely lunch and then went out for the day. Returned to have dinner in the main restaurant which was very good and good value for money
When I booked the breakfast availability wasn’t clear but I emailed and they replied promptly. The pod was lovely but unfortunately we had a bit of a problem with ants in our bathroom. When we went to have our breakfast which was already put in our fridge we had Croissants, jam, fruit juice, cereal, milk and yoghurt but no butter or sugar and both yoghurts had nuts in which my husband can’t eat. The fridge also made a weird popping noise on and off throughout the night

Convenient location and although the room is very small the bed was comfy and the shower good. We were lucky with the weather so had breakfast outside which was lovely.
Coffee machine not easy to use (our neighbours also had trouble with theirs) Brief written instructions would be helpful for those of us who don’t routinely use them. If not warm enough to be outside there is only one chair and no space to eat breakfast in the room. A tray to rest on your lap could be helpful as a ‘table’ as one person will have to sit on the bed.

Nice clean room. Cute pod! Great to have breakfast and bottled water.
Room was cosy. Absolutely fine for a short stay.

Food in the restaurant was excellent Very nice atmosphere in the bar. The little pod was fantastic. Definitely keen to stay again.
Nothing bad to say.

We stayed at the Old Inn as a stopover on our way to Cornwall. It is a beautiful pub which serves excellent food. The garden pods are fantastic, very comfortable after a wonderful meal. They have all modern amenities and are quite quirky! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone.
Nothing. Everything was great!
4.5
Friendly and helpful staff, delicious food, comfortable pod with great decor and facilities for an overnight stay.
The pod could do with a little attention to detail with cleaning in corners and in the shower etc, fluff and hairs etc.
4.5
Very cosy and comfortable the staff are great the pub is lovely the food and beer top notch
3.5
Breakfast provided in fridge (continental). Comfy bed, well designed pod although a bit squashy for breakfast as no table. The evening meal was delicious. All in all we enjoyed our stay - very welcoming, friendly staff.
The fridge in the bedroom was a bit noisy and it would have been nicer to have had breakfast in the pub.

The pods were lovely, clean and tidy. The pub was friendly and the restaurant food excellent.
Somewhat disappointed by the breakfast of a single croissant each as neither of us likes yoghurt. A choice of cereals and perhaps some orange juice would have been nice. :)
4.5
Breakfast was a yoghurt and pastry. Only thing that could have improved it was some juice or fruit
2.5
The breakfast was some yoghurt and croissants provided and put in a fridge in the room, Quite convenient, and a nice coffee maker provided. Regarding the room facilities - clean and comfortable, lovely bed, and modern bathroom.
The visit did not start well. I was directed via a message sent through the website to let myself into the pod called 'Pheasant' on my arrival, as the pub would not be open. Pod 'Pheasant' was nicely lit up with the key on the bed awaiting my arrival. However the pod was freezing cold with no hot water, the radiators were not on and the boiler didnt seem to be functioning. I tried to restart the boiler but it kept cutting out. I attempted to telephone the pub with no success so had to wait for half an hour with my coat on in the cold until the pub opened and I could ask for help. When I was attended to I was told there was an issue with the gas bottle which needed changing. It then transpired I'd been allocated the wrong pod, and I should have been directed to 'Badger' - the pod next door. I subsequently had to move all my belongings. No explanation was given and I was treated in a somewhat brusque way, initially with a suggestion that I had gone to the wrong pod- really not what I needed or expected after a very long day of travelling and work. It was a pity because the food in the pub was excellent but this has somewhat put me off a return visit. The room was adequate but was quite basic - for the price I would have expected full size bath sheets rather than a small bath towel, more work surface for toiletries/belongings and perhaps a hair dryer.

Lovely village, quirky wooden pods in the garden and really friendly welcome. Nice bar and dinner.

Fantastic concept for accommodation in self-contained wooden pods behind the pub. Even though the temperature outside was almost freezing it was nice and cosy inside. Breakfast was continental but perfect for me and you prepared it yourself from the ingredients in the fridge. Fresh milk provided for coffee or tea in the room. The staff were so nice and friendly and the restaurant was fantastic. I had an excellent meal on both evenings. I would thoroughly recommentd this Hotel/Inn for business or pleasure stays. Well done everyone at the Old Inn.

Breakfast was a very basic continental left in fridge upon arrival! Very disappointed. Location to Stourhead and Wincanton race course very good. Very new Pods.
Basic continental breakfast, fresh fruit would have been nice! Lack of hanging hooks, lack of shelving, no hairdryer, clean but not spotless (dust, shower) kept awake with an ill-fitting side gate banging against pod when wind got up during night, ugh.

Breakfast is a small continental and to be honest is adequate
Got to warm in the night and at this time hard to get the right balance

Great cabins situated in the gardens of a proper inn and restaurant. A pleasant change to the standard hotel rooms that you stay in.
