The Neighborhood:
Mount Washington is the location of Pittsburgh's “Grand View”. Perched on the hilltops just south of downtown, this neighborhood provides the most scenic view of Pittsburgh and the surrounding region. If you stand on one of the many Grandview Avenue observation decks, you have the city at your feet.
Adults in their twenties and thirties are the primary residents of Mt. Washington, as well as young families and singles. Residents enjoy being close to downtown Pittsburgh, the North Shore, the Southside, and Station Square all at once. Whether it's commuting to work or going out on a Friday night, you are strategically located for anything as a Mt. Washington resident.
Homes on Mt. Washington range from finely restored homes from the early 1900s to the red-bricks of the 1950s, to the newest single-family and multi-unit architecture styles.
The neighborhood also boasts active business districts and a wide range of parks, green spaces, and recreational activities, and is home to Pittsburgh's newest Regional Park, currently called the Grand View Scenic Byway Park. At 235 acres, the GVSBP provides spectacular views, playing fields, and trails. The Park's soon to be released trail plan will provide up to 18 miles of trails for all skill levels.

Spent a nice weekend visiting family in Pittsburgh and staying at the property made the trip easy. Accommodations are great for a large family and easily within walking distance to Mt Washington’s overlook and commercial district. Kitchen was well appointed. Rooms were good size and bathrooms were new and clean. Will look to stay again when visitingfamily in the area.

First time at Pittsburgh with my family, we stayed two weeks and we loved it. The location of the house is convinient if you want to be around the downtown. We didnt have parking issues because the space in front of the house was always available. The house was just as described, great communication with Sarah, Thanks for hosting us.

The house was just as described. It was our first time in Pittsburgh. We specifically went to see a football game. It was close to the stadium as well as the Strip District. The communication with the Sarah was excellent. Thank you for hosting us. We enjoyed our stay and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay. We always felt safe in the neighborhood.

It was a great stay and really enjoyed the multiple levels to the home and the fenced in backyard for the puppy. The neighbors were so nice and helpful we really do appreciate them making us feel welcomed. Only thing is driving to the neighborhood we didn’t know what we were getting into as it looked a little run down but looks were deceiving. We enjoyed the stay and it was in the middle of everything we wanted to do. Perfect location for us.

Great location, nice property. Our favorite part was sitting on the front porch for coffee or cocktails.
Upstairs loft was super hot during our stay but there was plenty of fans to circulate air. The parking is on the street but we never had an issue finding space.

I was in town for a ceremony at my daughter's university. This home was clean, spacious and as expected from the listing. The owner was very responsive to all my questions. I would recommend this place to my friends, family, and others coming to the Pittsburgh area.

Fabulous place! Tucked on the side of a hill. Quiet neighborhood and really easy to get downtown.
Teenager had her own attic room and bath. Neighbors extremely nice.

We had a nice time. The house was fine but wish there were more kitchen utensils including scissors. A small space heater for the 4th bedroom would be helpful too. Was a bit cold the first night when temp was in the 40's. Also, it would have been very helpful to know that there was only on-street parking and you need to park up on the sidewalk. We had two cars and we almost took 3 cars so a heads up would be nice since there is limited parking and we were confused on where and how to park. The hosts was very responsive to any questions. The house was very clean! Location was great too!

We had reservations about staying on Mt. Washington but the trolly system takes you right to the stadiums downtown and is located .8 miles away. This was a weekend of a lifetime and was a perfect venue for 8 of us.
