We stayed two nights and it was perfect for that. It was clean and near some beautiful green space that was within walking distance.

The owner was adorable. We were close to everything and loved the pool. We did wish we could have gotten more than 1 channel on the TV, but it is Hawaii and we were hardly there. We would absolutely stay there again.

A little dated, but a great price for being so conveniently located! Comfy King size bed, on the soft side. Nice strong air conditioning. Lovely view of the volcano, or you can watch the ducks and fish play in the fountain & pond below.
As others have mentioned, rather sparse on kitchen supplies, which shouldn’t be a problem as long as you’re aware going into it (like salt but no pepper, cooking oil, pots and pans and cooking utensils, plates/bowls/cups/flatware, one cookie sheet, cutting board, knives. No mixing bowls.)
Very considerate to have little rugs in the kitchen for cold feet on the tile!
Friendly security staff if you get confused. Convenient parking spot. Super close and convenient to all the yummy things and downtown Hilo fun, which is why we picked this spot. Love being able to walk places!
Very clean. The floors felt a little damp, but I think that’s a climate thing (we’re from a very low humidity place). There does appear to be a couple instances of mold, but we weren’t too concerned since we were out and about mostly. If you know you’re highly sensitive, maybe check in with the host about it.
The building itself is also dated and has a peculiar old smell, but the unit smells fine. Lots of convenient lighting. Working (little slow) wifi, cable tv. There were a couple confusing things between new instructions and the old printed instructions (and the locking note on the door), but Lei was quick to respond and help.
Thank you!

The apartment is clean, comfortable and great view, it is located next to the downtown, easier to travel everywhere. Will definitely stay here when we come back.

This apt. was okay, needs to be updated in some parts like the bath tub and sink, couch could use some help with more support on seats and curtains could use something so they slide easier. Otherwise it’s location is close to town and convenient and parking space is excellent.

Condo was comfortable. Nice bed and TV.
Decor and paint could use updating.

This condo is a fantastic quiet and safe location with all the basics we needed including a very comfortable king bed. Kitchen has full sized fridge, stove, and dishwasher plus basic accessories needed for putting together simple fast meals which worked for us - i don't spend time cooking on vacation. The building is older and the suite is dated but the price reflects that and it’s well maintained. I think when this complex was built it was quite a prestigious condo. Our host was very responsive to a minor issue we had and it was quickly resolved.

Thanks for a lovely stay. In such a spread-out town as Hilo it was great to be staying somewhere that was a 5min walk to the beach and 15min walk to the shops.

During our three night stay we were easily able to walk to restaurants. The building borders a beautiful state park. One evening we walked across its pedestrian river bridges to a Mexican restaurant. Parking was great, you have your own covered space. The unit has a view of both Maunakea and Maunaloa from the small balcony. Kitchen is well stocked with appliances and dish ware. We didn’t cook, but we enjoyed the large fridge and freezer space for breakfast and snacks. Toaster is too small for bagels but fine for sliced bread. Keys are color coded so easy to figure out which to use. Security is good and they lend you luggage carts if you need them. Elevators are roomy and fast, there’s also a stairwell near by if needed. I liked the place a lot and would stay there again, The apartment is a good size for a couple.

The bathrooms could use a little updating but overall it was a very good and spacious unit. Every place we needed to go to was close by so I really loved the location. The host was very responsive.

I love the location and the beautiful view of Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea. Room was clean.

We enjoyed our stay here and it was a good location for exploring the east side of the Big Island. It was also near shopping, parks and attractions.
When the weather was clear there were fantastic views of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. And below the lanai was a pretty pond with waterfalls.
We really appreciated that there was a laundry room on the same floor as the unit and that the laundry room contained more than just 1 washer and 1 dryer.
The unit does have some quirks such as a low shower head and low mirror. The seating could have been more comfortable.
We rented this unit because it had a full kitchen and the listing said there were cooking utensils. Unfortunately, the kitchen is very poorly appointed. We couldn't even find any measuring spoons or measuring cups. As for baking, there was a cookie sheet but no other baking dishes.

The property is located near downtown Hilo. We very much enjoyed our stay and would look for the property if we returned to Hawaii.

We stayed here on the 2nd half of our Hawaii trip, so compared to the other property it was just ok. There was no ocean view, but the mountain view was nice. There were no extras - like tour brochures, recommended places to go or eat, or things to use while we were there (beach chairs). The place itself was nice, small kitchen - room for 1, shower was kinda small if you're taller that 5 foot tall. Too many keys for this door, that door, pool, laundry. We didn't get a chance to use the pool because we couldn't figure out which key fit the lock - maybe label the keys? Over all it was all we needed because we didn't spend much time in the room anyway.

The unit is in a great location. Parking is easy.
It's a little dated as most units outside of resorts in Hawaii are. Has everything you need and is very centrally located for exploring Hilo and the surrounding area. Great home base for Volcanoes National Park.
We did have a hiccup in our check-in process with the unit not being ready initially. The owners went out of their way to get it ready and make it right.
Would absolutely stay here again!

Nice and clean place, but a little dated. Overall a pleasant stay though. Great place to stay if you're looking for budget accommodations near downtown.

Convenience
Good area to get around but the unit could use some updating. Tissues would have been very much appreciated. The bed was very comfortable, pillows were great, but we could have done without the very heavy perfume smell on the quilt.

Great stay
The property was great. It was simple and nice. A great get away.

Bare minimum
The photos don't reflect the worn out apartment, tattered furniture, the dilapidated mattress and empty cupboards where you might normally find dishes or cooking supplies. This is clearly a business property and the owner has spent as little as possible on her investment. We booked for 3 nights and left after 2 because it was not a comfortable or welcoming place to stay. When we arrived, the building smelled strongly like roach spray and the nearly 2 inch dead cockroach in the kitchen the next morning confirmed that the building is infested. The owner was nice via emails, but she needs to spend some time and money on her investment to make it more hospitable.

Ok stay
Other than the AC not working in the living room everything was OK. Luckily AC worked in the bedroom.

Dated - but comfy and convenient!
Really a great location with easy access to downtown Hilo and no issues to travel to Volcano National Park and other areas.
The place had a comfy bed, nice kitchen and almost everything we needed (would have been nice to have a small cooler for day trips).
Brenda was a most responsive and helpful host!

Nice enough
Nothing fancy but everything you need. The location is a bit industrial. Yet it's close to everything we needed, airport and volcano national park.
